Take quiet morning walks through the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge (two miles northeast), bring along your boogie boards for summer days at Drake's Island Beach (two miles east), and find countless hidden treasures in Wells' famous antique shops on Route 1.
Rise and shine to prepare breakfast and beach snacks in the air-conditioned kitchen, kick back in a seat on the screened balcony, and pull up the newspaper on the free WiFi. When you're not surfing and swimming at the beach, you can take a dip in the shared indoor pool (open only from Memorial Day to the day after Columbus Day), play a few games of pool in the clubhouse, and gather to watch movies on the flatscreen cable TV, VCR, and DVD player.
