Located in the Landmark Historic District, this townhouse is within walking distance of most of downtown Savannah's attractions. In fact, you don't even need a car, because you can easily walk to nearby restaurants, shops, parks, and other activities.
This beautiful brick townhome still maintains its original layout but has been recently remodeled and updated, and features modern comforts. With plenty of antiques and historical art throughout, you can take a stroll through the past without even leaving this gorgeous home.
Enter through the front door and you will find yourself in a formal living room. Have a seat on the sofas and relax, or flip on the TV and watch some cable. With WiFi and a DVD player, you can easily keep busy when you aren't out exploring the town. This home also offers a laundry area and central air conditioning, which you will certainly appreciate if you're here during the warm summertime!
Walk from the living room through the dining room and into the kitchen. This is a compact space, but the kitchen does feature beautiful granite countertops, new appliances, and all the cooking tools the chef in your group may need to prepare delicious meals. However, with so many wonderful restaurants nearby, you may not want to spend too much time cooking here!
On the main level is also a convenient half-bathroom. From the kitchen you can step outside to your private garden courtyard, which is a perfect place to sip some iced tea, admire the greenery, and enjoy life. There's even a gas grill in case you feel like grilling some chicken or cooking up burgers for a casual meal outside.
Back indoors, walk up a set of stairs to reach the second level. This upper floor has a full bathroom with a tub/shower combination that is accessible from the hallway. The first of the bedrooms features two twin-size beds, and the second bedroom has a queen-size bed and two closets where you can store your belongings. All in all, this home will comfortably sleep five guests (four adults maximum, please).
When you're ready to see more of lovely Savannah, set out on foot and explore the tree-lined streets of downtown. You could check out the many parks nearby, walk along the waterfront to the north, and do a little shopping at the boutiques and book stores. This city is surprisingly walkable and compact, so you may not even need a car to explore the top attractions!
Savannah is increasingly known for its trendy restaurants and cafes, so be sure to stop and get a coffee while you're walking around town. If that's not your style, go ahead and try one of the breweries in town, or take the kids to get a milkshake at a nearby ice cream parlor. Within a few blocks of this home you can find all sorts of food options, ranging from pizza to Japanese to German, as well as the many fantastic eateries that feature good-old southern-style cuisine.
