We have been coming to the Smoky mountains for more than 20 years and the view from the deck here was one of the best we've ever had

The view was exceptional!!!!!!

We've stayed in the area many times in the past and have never found a cabin so secluded and off the beaten path. This is perfect if you don't want to be able to have a conversation with your neighbors from one deck to the other. It was plenty big enough for five of us and two dogs. Its about a thirty minute drive to the more touristy part of the area but there's plenty to do and see right there and when we did drive over the drive itself is so pretty. Everything was clean and working when we got there and we didn't have any issues at all. We will definitely be renting this cabin for vacations in the future.

We were only at the property for one night, but really enjoyed the peaceful setting. The owners were very nice and friendly.

This was not my favorite cabin I have stayed in. We ran into many issues during our stay, but let’s start with the positive. The view is stunning from both the balcony and the master bedroom. You get a great over view of the smoky mountains. It came with reasonable kitchen appliances like a stove, microwave, coffee maker, etc. it is located about 20 minutes away from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and about 30 minutes from Pigeon Forge. There is a very good restaurant called Apple Valley about 5 minutes from the cabin definitely would recommend. With that being said we did have some issues with the cabin. The cabin is way smaller than what the pictures lead you to believe and is very outdated. It is supposed to be for 6 people but I would say it’s much better for a group of 4. We had 6 people in our group and it felt like we were stepping in each other the whole time. The kitchen is very small and there is not a lot of counter space. The cookie sheets are very worn out and stained up which made it very hard to tell if they were getting cleaned all the way. The dish soap they provide you with is just a very small bottle that looks like they just added water to it to make it look fuller and it sucked. We would have been better washing the dishes with water. The floor in the kitchen also looked like it hasn’t been sweeper or mopped. The bathroom is super small. There isn’t maybe 6 inches of space between the toilet and the shower. They only give you one roll of toilet paper which is clearly not enough of you have 6 people staying for 4 nights like we had. It would be very hard for a bigger person or even the elderly to get around in the bathroom because of how small it is. The living room area was a bit of a hot mess. The hot tub is located in the living room that has carpet..... worst idea ever. The carpet looked absolutely disgusting. part of it looks like someone tried to patch up a spot and cover it up with one of table chairs. My friend almost tripped over it. The carpet was always wet from getting in and out of the hot tub which we had a handful of issues with. The hot tub wouldn’t heat up for 3 of the days we stayed. It would average at about 80 degrees which made it feel more like a pool which was super disappointing. They don’t clean the filters out ( we were pulling out clumps of hair from the drain. ) super super disgusting. The dial was broken so you could never tell if it was heating up or what it was doing. The bedrooms were okay we had some issues with the master bedroom tv bit wanting to work. They put all the extra pillows and blankets in the closets. They have a random Christmas tree the other bedroom. The pull out couch is flat as paper and is super uncomfortable would not recommend. Overall I’d give this cabin a 2/5 needs a lot of work done to it.
Manager response:
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. While we are glad you enjoyed the location and views of our home, we apologize for the issues you encountered. Our housekeepers were dispatched to the home to clean the hot tub filters and drains as well as replacing the cookie sheets. We will work with the owner to arrange a carpet cleaning. Our techs will also check the TV to make sure it is working correctly and on the right input. We apologize for any missteps, as it is never our intention to disappoint. We hope to have the opportunity to better impress you in the future.

The view can’t be beat. The cleanliness left much to be desired. There were human hairs on the pillows and counters. The carpets are dirty in the bedroom and smelled like animal urine. We bought groceries and the refrigerator never cooled and the food spoiled. The beds are as hard as a rock. The indoor hot tub is neat but the heavy chemical smell in the cabin is smothering. GPS will confuse you because the road says “ private drive”. Keep going and you will see it. The view is stunning. Don’t lean on the rails because they wiggle. This cabin needs new carpets and throughly cleaned. We will not be returning to this cabin. We come to the smokies 3-4 times a year. This is the dirtiest place we have ever stayed. We had a 3 night stay. We left a night early due to the heavy chemical smell making my head hurt. I woke up each morning with a migraine. When we arrived and saw the dirty linen we went and bought our own. We determined ourselves to stay as we paid for it. However the chemical smell from the hot tub indoors will overpower you. The second morning I awoke with a splitting headache was the last. I’m writing this review in what should have been the final day of my stay. I am in my comfortable bed at home with NO headache. The views are pretty, the booking process was easy. The cabin needs to be removed until it is cleaned properly and updated.

Melissa S. Apr 2021
Cons old needs updating was quite do not rent for six people as it is better suited for 4 and that is with kids we had six with the kids included couch bed in comfortable for kids even carpets old and nasty hot tub never got hot the entire 4 days so we couldn’t use it fridge stayed cool at best not cold needs major update and getting ahold of help 4 calls later we got a small refund but ruined our trip as the only good thing was the view I wouldn’t rent again even if it was half price

The view was one of the best! Loved the back patio!
Harley M. Feb 2021
Wonderful view of the Smoky Mountains & see all kinds of wildlife! We were able to see bears the first night! Heard bears & wolves around every night. We saw what we believe was a lynx cat, ran away pretty quick, but that's to be expected. Saw lizards, bats & flying squirrels. If you hear something toward the outside of the master bedroom ceiling, it's the flying squirrel. We watched it shoot up & across the beam just under the the hanging part of the roof. It's their woods, they seem to have made a little nest right next to/ under the overhang roof.
Not too far from local shops & Gatlinburg is about an hour drive for more lively attractions.

Nice home beautiful view would definitely stay here again
Heather T. Dec 2020
Small and cozy, no WIFI.
The cabin could use some updating.
brenda c. Nov 2020
We loved the view..Very peaceful.Had a nice fireplace and relaxing hot tub.
Dean T. Nov 2020
The view can't be beat however, the cabin is in need of a lot of maintenance.

Nasty carpet for one.

Missing rungs on the deck rail poses a very serious risk for toddlers or pets. Could easily fall 20 feet or more.

The entry steps are very akward.

I'm sure motel 6 offers better towels.

All in all, we enjoyed our stay but probably wouldn't stay here again.
Manager response:
Hi, Dean! We appreciate your feedback and want to let you know we are working with the homeowner on getting some updates done this winter. Thank you!
Marti S. Oct 2020
The view was awesome! Peace and quiet surround you. It could of been a little cleaner, a box of tissues would of been nice. Also a hair dryer would of come in handy. I would also recommend a little maintenance on the road. Overall we were happy and would rent again.

The family loved this cabin and its spectacular view. Close to everything we wanted to see and do but far enough away that we felt like we were the only ones in the mountain.
