5th Floor Beautifully-Decorated Condo At Waterscape! Waterfall, Lazy River

This one bedroom unit has a wonderful view of Waterscape's tropical garden and oasis and a partial view of the Gulf of Mexico. The living room opens up to a spacious balcony with outdoor seating. The unit is beautifully decorated with warm tones of green and red. The condominium's kitchen is well appointed with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and beautifully tiled floors. All dishes, cooking utensils, and bake ware are provided to complete and serve meals. There is a quaint round dining table with seating for four in the breakfast nook. This lovely unit offers a full bath with a stand-up shower and a washer and dryer off of the kitchen. The open living room houses a queen sofa sleeper, flat screen TV, and DVD player, as well as a set of bunks to allow for flexible and additional accommodations. The master bedroom features a king bed, private bath, flat screen TV, DVD player, and spacious closet.

Liked the view and the set up. The mattresses on the bunk beds are definitely not for adults but the main bed was comfortable.

This was our first time at a VACASA condo and will be our last. Not worth the price for the quality of grounds and condo. We payed $300 per night for 5 nights off season (mid Sept)

Let’s start with the pros:

- Condo w/kitchen: as a family of 6, it’s very important for us to have a kitchen. It’s VERY convenient to make a quick meal. The washer and dryer actually worked in our unit, but the dryer started glitching the last few days. Otherwise it’s so nice to have these amenities!

Kind staff: the staff were kind. (Other then the wristband enforcement police 🙄) When we needed new sheets, Keith from maintenance came in with new sets and asked if we needed anything else.

Check in/out: Loved the quick check in out!! When the kiddos are cranky in the car and anxious to get out - the 5 min check in process was AMAZING. We were also grateful to have our condo ready a few hours earlier.

Now let’s move unto the cons:

- Dirty Unit - we had to request new sheets for all our beds because the sheets either had hair or were stained. We had to rewash all the dishes, utensils, and even the utensil holder - everything was so gross. We weren’t able to use most of the pots and pans or the cooking utensils as they are in bad shape. The floors were also very dirty.

Accommodates FOUR not SIX: This unit says it accommodates six people, but they only have four dining chairs around a small table. The pull out bed on the couch is absolutely worthless, it’s as if you’re sleeping on a lightly padded medal rack. We couldn’t use it and had to sleep on the couches themselves which was just a tad bit more comfortable.

Dirty Grounds: The pool area around the BBQ’s has very slippery areas that need to be pressure washed. Pools are pretty dirty with black mold around garbage cans and lounge chairs 🤢

- Wristband police - If your child doesn’t want to wear the uncomfortable plastic wristband, they make you put it on them anyway or they can’t be in the pool area. It’s not enough that you as a parent have one on 🤦🏽‍♀️ They will hover until you do or until you just leave.

We’re giving this specific condo and resort 3 stars because of the above reasons.

As stated in the confirmation email, guests must wear wristbands on the pool deck and fitness center at all times, for safety reasons. This was my 10th time staying at this resort. This year the pricing was extremely high for the 1 bedroom condo. The living room tv didn’t work and i called the front desk 3 times to fix it. Also the shower drain in the master bathroom was clogged up. If you wanna spend $600 per nite for a lack of luxury condo this is your spot….

Bathrooms were old gross and dated! Beds were so uncomfortable and room just looked dirty!! Pool area and beach were great! But the room was very disappointing!!

I was worried about the 5th floor being an issue getting to the beach, but it was easy! The walk seems far, but it's not bad at all. The on site staff was awesome!! I had a broken coffee pot, I texted them and it wasn't 20min later and they were at my door with a brand new, still in the box pot!! The pools were great for the kids and parents alike. Especially the heated pool and hot tub on those cooler fall days. Although, I feel like a resort of this size, should have at least 2 more hot tubs! They were always full!
The only complaint I have is with the Living Room TV in our unit! It SUCKS!! The contrast is off and can not be adjusted, I tried to turn it down but it didnt help. You can barely see a picture. I mean, you can buy a decent size tv now for just over $100... come on..
All and all, great stay, we will be back!!

Overall a great getaway for our family. We loved the immediate beach access and massive pool area. Our 2 year old enjoyed the splash pad and slide daily. The property was clean and well maintained, and the property provided beach chairs/umbrella were a nice feature. Only complaint about the property was there was an elevator not working which meant longer wait times. Also the unit B530 could use some updating- at least 1 burner on the stove wasn’t working, walls needed fresh paint & minor repair, water in fridge door wasn’t working, living room tv color is going out & distorted, shower door hard to fully close without force, master bed pillows were flat as pancakes, dryer takes excessively long to dry.... I would stay here again in a heartbeat but NOT in unit B530 for the price.

The stove burner has been reset; the water dispenser and TV both appear to be functioning normally; the dryer vent hose was found slightly pinched, so this has been adjusted; the shower door has been adjusted as well. The elevator is the HOA's responsibility, but there are four of them available in building B for guests to use. We hope to see you again!

Nice view from balcony. Very close to 5th floor parking garage. Unit could use updating and definitely needs a WIFI upgrade. Tv in living area needs replaced as well. I was surprised to see basically no reminders around the pool for Social Distancing .

It was perfect for our family. Beaches were closed 2 days but the pools made up for it. We definitely will be back.
