The island was a lovely setting for our family to get away after months of dealing with serious illness. we really enjoyed our little cabin, the trails and the beach. In five minutes on the always available boat, one can be back on the mainland. When a large group ignored quiet hours with a very late night party, the owners were responsive and resolved the situation quickly. The accommodations are rustic, yet comfortable. We loved playing with our dog on the beach and heading up to Burlington for an afternoon.

We loved our stay on Garden Island and look forward to returning someday. It was a great spot for a family gathering. We enjoyed the remoteness of being on an island on Lake Champlain yet being close to shore to go hit the store or go out to eat or just get something from the car at any time you want. The best parts of this place are the island itself and the beach and time on the water or enjoying the stars and s'mores. The Willow cabin is like Glamping, which we enjoyed, but just be advised that you aren't going to be preparing world-class meals in the kitchen, but you have what you need to get the job done. You have electricity and running water, which they didn't have when this place was built, so just enjoy stepping back in time and being outside, because that is what this place is about. The best part of Willow is being right on the water, and being able to keep an eye on the beach and the kids from the screened porch. Our dogs had the time of their lives, as did the kids, and we will be back to try out some of the other cabins on the island.

Rustic and beautiful communications . It’s like stepping back into a simpler time without phones and iPads and nothing but swimming and kids running

We enjoyed the views and quiet. It was very secluded and everyone was very pleasant and respectful.
