Just Chillin' offers you an opportunity to take a break from reality with amenities that include a private saltwater fiberglass pool, a seven-person hot tub, a propane grill, an outdoor shower, and a cozy, two-sided gas fireplace in the great room. Enjoy quiet evenings with over 2,000 square feet of deck space on this quiet corner lot in the soundside Kinnakeet Shores subdivision. The screened-in porch on the top floor ties into the deck and offers relief from the bugs, so you can enjoy beautiful views of the sunsets on Pamlico Sound.

The first level features a furnished recreation room with a pool table, a TV, a wet bar, a second full refrigerator, a full bathroom, and a laundry room. The fifth bedroom - a kids' suite - is on this floor, offering two bunks, a TV, and a Blu-ray/DVD player.

The second level includes two master suites, and another bedroom with private access to a bathroom. A den is centered between the bedrooms, offering a couch and a TV with a Blu-ray/DVD player - the perfect spot to relax and catch your shows or a game with easy access to the half-bath powder room. The brand new (2019) Pamlico hot tub is located on this level, with convenient access from the den and the third and fourth bedrooms via the deck.

The upper level is home to the master suite, a fully equipped open kitchen with a breakfast bar, a large dining area, and a comfortably furnished great room sporting cathedral ceilings, a double-sided gas fireplace, a TV, a radio, and plenty of windows. A semi-isolated spot with an oversize lounge chair is up a few steps more, overlooking the dining area and offering a great place to read the newspaper, a magazine, or a favorite novel.

This house is equipped with fresh linens, high-speed WiFi, and DirecTV, and includes membership to Kinnakeet Shores' community pool and sound-front area.

The pool can be heated for $60/night. Guests must call in after booking to arrange for pool heat. Guests should contact Vacasa with pool heat requests one week (7 days) prior to their arrival. Pools typically take 48 hours to reach the desired temperature.

You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking, which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

This property is managed by Vacasa North Carolina LLC.
For 2022, the pool will be open April 9th to October 14th. It will otherwise be unavailable for guest use.

Would love to give 5 stars but the amount of water bugs we had to manage in/around the house was not fun. House was fully loaded which was great, wish it was staying as a pet friendly house going forward.

Hatteras realty and Vacasa were both a pleasure to deal with. The house needs a little tlc and a deep clean, here and there. Smells like mold, roaches kept appearing, water damage and mold on the kitchen cabinets, the tracks for the sliding doors need replaced or thoroughly cleaned. The Security cameras made us feel just uncomfortable, and not really at home by the pool etc. I would rent from hatteras realty / Vacasa again just wouldn’t stay here.

Pros: Location (view of neighborhood lake, close to grocery, lovely neighborhood w walking trails), house layout (all rooms w own bathroom, plenty of space, separate den and game room, deck access from every bedroom), amenities (pool, hot tub, game room, gas grill). We had a misunderstanding about the number of pets allowed (strictly two dogs no matter their size) and the owners allowed us to pay an additional pet rent ($170 extra) for the third small dog we had. We appreciated this bc the misunderstanding was our fault.

Cons: Dirty furniture, dirty floors and trim (thick dust w hair on all baseboards, dead bugs and heavy dust on floors near walls), dead roaches under furniture/living roaches in kitchen (its a moist island but still!!), dust/hair on headboards, sills, lamps, musty smell throughout house, dog urine smell in master bedroom carpet. This is a pet friendly house so we expected some pet hair and some worn carpet but it was below our expectations by a fair margin. We reported the housekeeping issues to Vacasa at check in (sent pics at their request of dead bugs on floors, thick dust) and then we had to each out and follow up on the 2nd day to find out what they planned to do. Unfortunately some in our party felt uncomfortable allowing the cleaning crew to return after we'd moved in (and we didn't want to have to adjust our schedule to be there w them) so we just let it go but the cleanliness of the house detracted from it's overall appeal, which is a shame bc it has great potential. There are also a number of items needing updating/repair (mold and flaking ceilings from water leaks, sliding doors that are nearly inoperable and/or with completely busted screens, broken fridge handle, broken exhaust fan, etc). We reported these at check in to ensure we were not charged for any damage. Vacasa came to repair the sliding door and fan and the repair staff was very nice. The house has security cameras on every door that the homeowners ACTIVELY monitor. I own a vacation property myself so I understand the need for this but I feel the cameras should be disclosed to renters in the listing and in the lease. Not everyone in our party felt comfortable with the idea that the homeowners (whose identity we don't know and yet they have access to our info) were able to monitor our coming and going at their election.

All in all, this house has great potential and with a deep clean and some repairs, it's a great spot.

I probably wouldn't use Vacasa again. We found out about 10 days before check in that this house has a 6 pm check in time (not 4 as appeared in documentation we'd received prior). Vacasa told us this 6 pm time was due to the time needed to clean the home; they would not allow us to purchase an early check in. As it happened, at 4 pm we went by the house and the code worked and the cleaners were gone. Vacasa knew we wanted to get in early (we have several calls w them about this) but they didn't tell us that we could check in until we received the automated text at 6 pm even though they promised to call us if the house became ready any earlier.

Honestly - I am in the works of sending pics. Very disappointing. Carpets dirty (with statins and tears on the carpet) and smelled of dog when opening of the door. (I knew immediately upon opening the door and seeing the steps in front of me what we were walking into. Walking into the Primary BR - a big tear in the carpets. House was dirty (and not cleaned properly). Dust so thick on the blinds and beds and woodwork through out.
Kitchen table not in good shape and when wiped showed so much dirt as well as the upstairs Kitchen and Family Room Area. We started to wipe the floor and it was black. Screen torn in Family Room Sliding Glass Door. The Threshold into the Kitchen was missing and someone could have cut their foot(we did not go bare foot in the home) due to how dirty the floors were.
All of this and more very disappointing from the beginning as being I have been going to the Beach for years - every since my children were young and now they are adults with their own children and we all had to experience all of this. After paying almost $7000 for the week and more than I have ever spent - and the home was in this condition.
(We would have not stayed at all - if we had somewhere else to stay).
We dealt with it BUT did not like it at all. We all left on Saturday.

Located in a nice quiet neighborhood, great for morning walks and safe to leave your beach toys outside. Close to shopping and groceries, really did not need to drive anywhere once there.

Perfect house for a multi family get away. Plenty of room for all. The hot tub and pool were a great bonus. The kitchen was well stocked with tools for cooking at home which was appreciated as we caught fish and did a fry. I highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a comfortable home away from home.

The stay was good .but the house has a lot of little thing that need to be fix .didn’t get all of our linen we were suppose to get. Just a lot of odds and ends that we didn’t have access to . Compared to other house that we have stayed at.in the past.
