Oceanfront Home w/ Amazing Ocean View, Balcony & Fireplace - Watch for Whales!

There are few better places to experience the whale-watching capital of the Oregon Coast than this two-bedroom, oceanfront townhome on the rugged, rocky shores of Depoe Bay. You'll be treated to commanding views of the Pacific Ocean from the spacious private balcony, the living room with its large picture windows, and even the kitchen, so you can watch for whale spouts on the horizon as you cook, relax, and watch TV. After a day spent at the beach, out on the water, or exploring town, you'll come home to a private washer/dryer for your salty clothes, two plush armchairs perched by the living room windows, and a gas-powered fireplace with a floor-to-ceiling hearth to take off the coastal chill. Bring a glass of wine outside to the balcony at sunset, sit down for a homemade dinner inside at the circular dining table, and spend the evening watching cable, VHS, and DVD favorites on the large flatscreen TV.

What's nearby:
This oceanfront townhome is located right on the shores of Depoe Bay, less than a mile north of the heart of downtown. It's a fantastic place for watching whales as they migrate between March and December, with the Depoe Bay Whale Watching Center, several observation decks, and charter boats waiting to take you out to sea in town. Catch a glimpse of the "spouting horn" that sprays the town's harbor during winter storms, or head immediately north of the house to take in another glorious view from Boiler Bay State Scenic Viewpoint.

The view is amazing and made the stay well worth it. It's easy to get lost staring out at the ocean, watching for whales. The location has great parking and was very quiet.
The home was missing some basics though and wasn't as clean as I'd expected. There was no hairdryer (even though the description states there is), no decent knife to chop veggies so I had to hack at my food with either a cheap bread knife or steak knife during meal prep, and no pantry items like salt, pepper, cooking oil, which has been something I've come across in every home I've stayed in the past. You'll need to take everything. I think this is valuable information to know before a trip. Overall though, I highly recommend.
