The center of town and the Village Green is only half a mile north, so you can walk to restaurants, cafes, ice cream shops, and boutiques, not to mention the Bar Harbor Shore Path that traces the ocean coast less than a mile northeast. The boundary of Acadia National Park is immediately south, with several park landmarks - including the Cadillac Mountain North Ridge Trail, less than two miles west; the Hulls Cove Visitor Center, three miles northwest; and Eagle Lake, three miles west.
