Original West Seattle beach cottage with amazing Elliott Bay views - dogs OK

Welcome to Alki Beach, Seattle's birthplace, and home of the historic Alki cottage. Built in 1907 and recently updated, this cottage is one of the original West Seattle beach houses. Detailed with memorabilia, this two-story bungalow celebrates Seattle's legendary music scene. Enjoy Puget Sound and Olympic Mountain views from your front porch and throughout the house. Launch paddle boards or kayaks directly across the street. You'll find the extensive walking and bike path along Alki here as well. When you're ready to go sightseeing or take in a game, hop on the water taxi for a scenic ride across Elliott Bay to Seattle's waterfront and downtown! Styled with an amazing array of memorabilia, the living room is a music lover's dream! Choose an album to play from the well-stocked collection. Or settle in on the sleeper sofa and watch a movie on the 58-inch Smart TV. The reading nook also offers a record player and gorgeous water views.

Prepare meals and beach snacks in the well-appointed kitchen, equipped with a full suite of stainless steel appliances. When you're ready to eat, gather around the welcoming table in the dining area. Start your day sipping coffee on the porch with a full view of Puget Sound and the Alki boardwalk. A firepit, ample seating, and gas grill await on the patio. In the yard, you'll find a gas grill and picnic table - perfect for a sunlit al fresco meal. This relaxing retreat is steps from the Alki Beach Volleyball courts as well as numerous eateries and pubs. Spend the day tide-pooling or take in breathtaking sunsets at one of the fire pits along the beach!

The passenger-only water taxi at Seacrest Ferry Dock is less than a mile away. Grab the free shuttle or skate, bike, or walk to it as bikes are allowed on-board. Enjoy the stunning views of downtown Seattle as the water taxi transports you to Colman Dock. Then stroll to popular attractions like Pike Place Market, the Seattle Art Museum, historic Pioneer Square, and the sports stadiums (Century Link and T-Mobile Park). There is the bustling West Seattle shopping district - The Junction (home of Easy Street Records, Husky Deli, Bakery Nouveau, etc) for a local experience.

Loved the location and cleanliness. Fun home with all the old albums. Very nostalgic for some of us that lived thru those years

The house is in a great location. The house is full of music memorabilia. It is almost like being in a living music museum. It is a great place, and I recommend it to anyone, especially music lovers.

We all loved the house, the records, the beach and the trip we took to Mt. Rainer. Our family flew from all over the country to be together. Beds were great….the view was terrific and we LOVED the fire pit area!!!!

This house was perfect for our trip to Seattle. It got us out of the city yet, gave us easy access when we wanted it! Thank you for letting us stay in your quaint house!

We were unable to access the rental due to historic snowfall in Seattle, the rental company was not remotely flexible in shifting days despite vacancy or returning the unused cleaning fee. They did ask us for our flexibility for the safety of their cleaning crews though. Anyway, I’m sure the house is lovely, I’ll never know - I’ll avoid Turnkey in the future. We had a blast at Easy Street. The house was packed with fun music memorabilia and the turntable was constantly spinning with the great vinyl collection provided. It did get hot and the living room windows are sealed shut but they provided some fans to try and keep it cool. The place suited our needs. There are 5 of us and we were comfortable. Since my daughters did not share a room, my son slept on the sofa bed, lucky he is a sound sleeper since there are no curtains on the front window. Turnkey was very responsive to texts sent. The property is located about 3o minutes from downtown Seattle - we went to the Musuem of Pop Culture, the Needle a must at night, Chilluhy Museum, the underground tour and drove to Anacortez to take ferry to San Juan Islands. We mostly cooked at the house, my husband and son went to a place on California and had the best Sushi! Showed up hoping to avoid the heat waves of 2021 and had a 50 degree swing in the 60`s! House was great and cleaner than expected for a 1907 Beach house! Beds are amazing and quite a serene and relaxing experience. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

We enjoyed our stay at Easy Street. We needed to contact TurnKey early on in our stay for an incident. It was addressed and fixed very quickly. Loved the location and all the cool memorabilia in the house. Our Seattle family loved it as well! This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

We had a relaxing getaway weekend at the Easy Street Beach Cottage on Alki. The collections of vinyl, books and memorabilia kept us busy during the hour between walking along the beach and exploring West Seattle. Super cool, we hope to come back for another exploration. Our party of 6 shrank to 2 due to a Seattle snowstorm, but this cozy cottage was great. Close to amenities that are usually open, without snow! Nice kitchen and views. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

Great vacation rental for those who love music, Seattle music memorabilia and being at the beach. Tons of great vinyl to spin on the turntable. Lots of concert posters on the walls, musical books to browse and read.
The beds were super comfortable, the bedding soft and cozy. The beach is right across the street. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

Had a great stay. The location is perfect, right on alki beach. Big front yard that the kids loved playing in, especially the rope swing. Loved watching the sunset from the deck most evenings! This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

I`m a total audiophile and this place was amazing!! Amazing view, amazing location, adorable house. Shower was a wee bit small. Amenities were well-thought out. Towels and linens were super clean. Beds were comfy. Neighbors were friendly. I really can`t give this place anything but a 5-Star stellar rating. The absolute only thing to mention for future prospective guests is that the shower is kind of small and the foundation is sinking on one side.
I didn`t care about either of those issues. I think was the best place I`ve ever stayed in within Seattle. I`m the type, though, to go out for places like this - that are vintage, and have a lot of charm, and heaps of character. So, I wasn`t expecting or needing everything to be uber-remodeled. I would love to meet the owner, from one life-long music fan to another. Super awesome creative energy in the house. All I can say is `WOW`. I will definitely be back!

This little beach house was a great location and amazing space for us. Unfortunately, the whole-house heat worked extremely intermittently. Given that we had lows in the 20s and highs in the low 40s, this made for some very uncomfortable hours in the house.

We contacted the unit property manager, and they were on the phone with us at close to 1am the night before Thanksgiving. Credit to them for being responsive in that way. Ultimately, however, the heating issue went unresolved and we just figured out how to make the heat work... occasionally. Were it not for this, I`d happily give this property 5 stars.
