Beautiful lakefront lodge w/ views, private beach access, & large deck!

Spend a relaxing vacation at Lake Pend Oreille with this gorgeous lakefront lodge. Offering beautiful lake views, entertainment, and private beach access, up to 8 guests will have a wonderful time here!

Located on the shoreline of the northwest corner of the lake, you'll enjoy peace and quiet at this abode. Just across the bridge is downtown Sandpoint while Couer d'Alene is about a 47-mile drive.

The house itself is bright and welcoming, with large vaulted ceilings, timber framing, and sunlight streaming through ample skylights. Take a seat on the leather furniture in the living area to relax with a novel in front of the fire, or just enjoy friendly conversation. There's a TV here for watching on rare stormy days.

Outside, the expansive deck is perfect for soaking up the glorious lake view. There's a patio table for dining, furniture for lounging, and a gas grill for barbecuing. Take the stairs down to the lake, where you lounge on the private beach, or swim and fish off the dock!

Back inside, the bright and updated kitchen makes it easy to feed all those hungry mouths. You'll find plenty of space in this pleasant atmosphere, and you might not want to stop cooking. Four can sit at the breakfast bar to enjoy a quick meal, while 8 will fit around the long dining table.

Three bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths make this home suitable for up to eight guests. One bedroom features a set of twin bunk beds and a sofabed while the second room offers a king bed and full private bath. The master has a king-size bed and access to a shared full bathroom with dual sinks, a soaking tub, and separate shower.

A private washer/dryer are available for any laundry you need freshening.

This house is perfect for a large family, a group of friends, or a couple of families traveling together - enjoy days on the lake at the dock, partaking in watersports if you have a speed boat, splashing around in your swimsuits, or enjoying quiet and memorable moments fishing. Make the short drive into Sandpoint to browse boutiques, dine at delicious eateries, and grab a craft beer at the local brewery. Stay at home with a fun game of shuffleboard or Ping-Pong.

Nearby Silverwood Theme Park is also worth a visit, no matter your age! In the winter, skiing is close by at Schweitzer Mountain Resort, or you might enjoy Nordic skiing and snowshoeing in the surrounding forest. Beautiful architecture and very clean. Wild turkeys would visit me on the deck. Gorgeous view.
Chris R. Sep 2022
The home is beautiful and the location is nice: quiet and peaceful. It has high end appliances (Wolf, Subzero) in a kitchen any level of cook would love. The views are incredible and there is a hiking trail about a quarter mile away. Sandpoint (restaurants, groceries, etc.) is about a 15-20 minute drive; Schweitzer is about 40 minutes. The house faces away from Sandpoint/Ponderay, so it's very dark at night, which is great for star gazing and sound sleep. The deck is huge and is furnished with chaise lounges, table and chairs, and a Weber grill. There is a shuffleboard and ping pong table downstairs, and a private dock on the lake. I would recommend this residence.

There are few drawbacks: It is expensive. The dishes and cookware are worn. The wifi is minimal (~20 mpbs up). To use a phone to play music, you'll need a headset adapter. Lots of flies in the house. Bottle Bay Road is not cyclist or pedestrian friendly. Not that there's a lot of traffic, but it's very narrow and windy. Finally, a landscape service showed up to do the lawn -- mowing, weed whacking, and most awful, leaf blowing. That's not my idea of a peaceful get-away and should've been done during the housekeeping changeover when paying renters are not there.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, Chris, we're so glad you enjoyed your stay. We take guest feedback seriously and have forwarded this information to the local staff so they can review and update the home as needed for future guests. We really enjoyed staying here. Everything was lovely, clean and the view was spectacular of the lake.
Randall L. Aug 2022
The house is magical roomy and In an exquisite location. Please note there is no air conditioning which in the era of global warming is not wise for an STR. It cools off at night but ended up managing our time based on trying to stay cool. Beautiul place.
Rachel S. Apr 2022
This home is gorgeous and the views of the are incredible. The house was clean and offers plenty of room for everyone. I had to dock one star because the house is not well stocked at all. There were no coffee filters, oil, saran wrap, iron and just some of the basics that you usually see in a short term rental. You really have to bring everything. Besides the inconvenience of that, this is a great place to stay!
Dana M. Jan 2022
This was a beautiful, spacious home with an amazing view of the lake. It was just what we had hoped for. We had a nice relaxing weekend. We will definitely stay here again.
Douglas H. Oct 2021
The views and design of this place made it the hit of the weekend. The games downstairs where a hit and eveyone had a great time jumping off the dock for a swim.
michael g. Oct 2021
Great views and lake access, great game room and all around beautiful home. Photos do a good job of illustrating the craftsmanship in the interior. Great kitchen.
Brande H. Aug 2021
This beautiful home hasn't been properly cleaned and maintained in months! What should have been a fabulous, relaxing vacation was spent with worry and to much of our time cleaning! We wouldn't consider this home again without some current, real time updated photos!
Manager response:
We have sent your feedback to the local staff for further review. We appreciate you letting us know there is room for improvement and will work diligently with the homeowner to make any updates and repairs. We look forward to hosting you for your next vacation!

The Lodge lake home is a beautiful Norwegian timberframe, crafted home with gorgeous pine wood plank flooring and hydronic floor heating. Craftsman details seen in window trim, shelving and kitchen cabinetry completing this home. A beautiful classic home. Best kitchen layout we've had in many, many rentals here and abroad. Decent cookware & utensils, certainly nothing lacking. Beds are comfortable and our whole extended family of 5 adults fit well here. Not to mention the beautiful lake and mountain views. We were thrilled to be able to use the dock for our ski/fishing boat, and loved the shuffle board downstairs. Plenty of seating for meals inside and outside. Would recommend a bit more soft seating in living room to accommodate the number of adults the house can sleep. And while it is disclosed, there is no air conditioning in the home. On the lake that usually is not an issue, but with smoky days/nights we could not take advantage of cool night air to cool the home down. Nonetheless, The Lodge is a beautiful, quality structure.
The Maintenance/Management group Vacasa was not so delightful. They get a C- or lower. We were greeted with a 1/4 inch deep of bat guano (poop) on front door stoop and all back deck door stoops. Bats are a good thing because they take care of insects that bug you, but piles of poop to greet us was bad and begged the question; when was the last time the house was cleaned? We swept away the guano and it barely returned in our 6 day stay thus, making me believe it had been awhile since the management group had even checked on the house. Upstairs bedrooms were thick with dust and dead flies in the window sills. And the crowning irritation was the "0" propane in the bbq. All calls and emails were either never responded to or responded to very late. They only confirmed bat guano was not mouse poop.
The portable fans with filters were brown and black with crude and had to be cleaned/rinsed before they would even function. And the toilets are badly stained.
As a widow, business owner and farmer I can fix things. But when I pay over $800/nt I believe that I have paid for a high level of quality and cleanliness in a home. Expecting it to be clean and ready for a comfortable and relaxing vacation. This was not the case. In fact I will look to avoid Vacasa managed homes looking for local management teams that will be more responsive to customers needs.
Hope that helps with those of you looking to rent this home.
P.S. Launch your boat in Sandpoint or Bottle Bay Marina as the road is narrow and driveway is a bit tricky for getting the trailer stored.
silvia k. May 2021
It is a beautiful house, we love it, my family came to visit us from San Diego California, we stayed for 4 nights , we rented a boat, the Lake is beautiful !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Heather D. Dec 2020
I loved that it was so kid friendly. Lots of games, puzzles, outlet covers, pack and play, and even some kid dishes. Made me feel very welcome to bring the whole family, even the littles.
Jennifer W. Nov 2020
This home is so beautiful and we really enjoyed the accommodations, the view and the comfort. A must stay for anyone wanting a peaceful place to stay.
Tom and Janet C. Sep 2020
Loved the interior architecture, vaulted ceilings, spacious and very comfortable. Kitchen is large and has most anything you desire. Great place getting away with family and friends. Dock is just a short walk, and view of the lake is incredible. Will be returning next year for sure!
Erin K. Sep 2020
This was the perfect home for my family to enjoy some relaxing time together. The house is very well stocked. Plenty of reading material, games, movies etc. The views are stunning. Close proximity to Bottle Bay Resort. I would recommend this property family and friends and would consider staying here again.
Cheryl F. Jun 2020
There were some cosmetic issues that could be fixed with a little paint. Windows have not been cleaned in quite some time but that may be because it was end of winter season. Quite a bit of moss in the outdoor areas which detract from the overall beauty. There had been a fire in one of the upstairs bedroom causing damage to the sofa and wall which was noted in a previous review that have not been repaired. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook meals. The home was very comfortable otherwise and I would consider staying there again.
Manager response:
We appreciate your review, Cheryl. The owner will be getting some work done on the home this month that will address your concerns. Thank you for staying with us!
Jason A. May 2020
This house is Absolutely beautiful and the view is unbelievable. We loved the deck, looking out at the water and private beach area. Huge, well-equipped kitchen. The kids loved ping pong & shuffleboard in the basement. Free WiFi and a hot tub on that deck would put it over the top! We’d definitely stay here again!
Billie A. Mar 2020
Such an amazing Lodge! Very spacious and the kids loved the downstairs area! The view was beautiful and everyone was sad to leave.
Chris P. Mar 2020
Would have been 5 stars if the home was equipped with internet, and had the necessary supplies for the power outage we incurred (fire wood, candles or flashlights). The home does have a generator however it was not operational for our trip
Marcella R. Feb 2020
Beatiful the house the view everything!
Will be back soon:)
Josh p. Nov 2019
The entire house was beautiful with gorgeous views.
Gretchen K. Oct 2019
Beautiful post and beam home, with amazing views! Very private home for several couples. Gorgeous kitchen. Very comfortable living area. Dock is super nice for fishing or just enjoying the lake. Nearest town is Sandpoint, just a short drive, lots of restaurants and shopping, very nice area! The only down fall is the heating system. We were here four nights and couldn't get the temperature above 60 degrees. If not for two space heaters found in the closests it would have been unbearable for my older parents. I think this home would be better suited for warmer weather renting.
Manager response:
We are glad you loved your stay! We wish you would have called our 24/7 Guest Services line so we could have sent someone to assist during your stay. We will inspect the heater to make sure it is working properly.
Alex G. Sep 2019
The home is stunning and the views are phenomenal. Bring water shoes if you plan on walking in the water, the rocks are super sharp.
Jason K. Sep 2019
We loved that the house came fully stocked with all necessities. Plenty of cooking pots and pans, plates, glasses and tupperware for food storage. Soap and toilet paper and laundry detergent and all other necessities were there as well. It made for a very smooth stay and no stress about wondering if we needed to supply all of those things.
Location and views were as advertised and amazing. Great stay!
Kenneth R. Sep 2019
We loved our stay at the Lodge. The house was perfect in every way. Nothing better than having coffee on the porch viewing the lake or sitting by a fire in the outdoor fire pit on waters edge. This is a special place. Our only negative was the whole Vacasa property management process. The form e-mails and lack of communication with the owner takes away from the concept of renting a vacation home from the owner of the property. Forgetting about Vacasa, it was a great place and I would highly recommend it.
Phillis T. May 2019
Loved the quite, lovely view. Beautiful house plenty of room. Suggestion please sharpen the knives and if you left salt, pepper, foil, suran wrap it would be perfect.
Stephen R. Apr 2019
Loved the view every day regardless of the weather. Cozy when raining, deck was nice when sunny, everything about this home says 'relax'. We loved it.
Edward H. Mar 2019
The five mile narrow twisty drive off the highway is well worth it if you want to feel isolated but not too far from town. This timber frame home and view are amazing.
G. L. Feb 2019
Great home, well kept, amazing location right on the lake. Instructions for entry and stay well documented. Would recommend to others.
Dick T. Oct 2018
Great house. Every space defined. Super lake view and dock. Close enough to town/activities to make it easy for all to enjoy.
Judy M. Sep 2018
This home is amazing and quite relaxing. Will definitely book again when the weather is cooler and less bugs! The home is beautiful and quite comfortable!
Stuart T. Aug 2018
The home was pretty nice. The kitchen is very nice. Only one bedroom on the first floor and two large beds total means only two adult couples can be comfortable. We rented extra rooms in a resort hotel to accommodate everyone.
Brock D. Jun 2018
Great location and view. Outdated electronics. Great deck and dock. Huge fridge. A lot of space.
Kimberley K. Jun 2018
Very lovely home right on the water! Lots of room and beautiful views!
Warren D. May 2018
Everything was great except for the master bedroom bed. It was a sleep number bed and did not work very well. Also groaned a lot when getting in and out. Other than that the stay was exceptional!
Brewster C. Apr 2018
This is a beautiful house with great views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Easy access to Sandpoint and skiing.
Jennifer S. Mar 2018
We loved staying right on the lake with amazing views of the surrounding mountains. Close to SandPoint and Schweitzer Mountain! Will be back!
Amy B. Feb 2018
The house was freezing(54 degrees) when we arrived. We followed instructions on the wall regarding the heat.. two hours had passed and the temp had not gone up at all. I talked to Trish about this and she said just give it time. Morning came and it was only 61 degrees. Finally around 6 pm more than 24 hours after we arrived the house reached 70. The house was beautiful so it made up for it but freezing the first 24 hours was no fun.
Manager response:
We were very sorry to see this guest was cold on arrival. We were in a cold snap with high winds that made things worse. The home has hydronic heat, which means guests need to be sure to leave the heat on when they leave. There is also a fireplace to help warm the home. Thank you!
Brian B. Feb 2018
Can't imagine a better place for the money, especially for two couples.

Our thanks to the owners for sharing this great place with us (via rental).
Shannon M. Oct 2017
We had a fabulous stay at this beautiful home! Wish there was wifi available though. If you need to use heat make sure to turn it up right at arrival because radiant heating takes awhile to work.
Steve S. Oct 2017
You can't go wrong here. The pictures portray's awesome!
Steve W. Oct 2017
Wonderful 3 Bedroom Cabin on Lake Pend O'reille. We had a fantastic visit and enjoyed the fireplace, separate master area and generous space throughout. The views and lake experience cannot be beat!
Aaron V. Sep 2017
This is an absolutely beautiful and spacious house! It's what our "dream home" would look like if we had the money. Being right on the water was amazing, and the dock was perfect for our boat. We especially appreciated the bumpers cushioning the edges of the dock. It was perfect for a big family gathering with lots of kids. The only improvement would be a cooling system to make the house more comfortable in the heat of the summer.
Jennifer A. Aug 2017
It was the perfect home for a big group. Plenty of space to spread out, the house was beautiful and the dock was lovely.
Heidi R. Aug 2017
The home is huge, to accommodate a large family or group. The kitchen is wonderful, so functional. We loved the place.

The water is in your backyard. The views are great!
Kendra B. Jul 2017
Three sisters, one husband, two nieces, one nephew and our mother. We enjoyed cooking together, lounging on the deck, paddle boarding, and just relaxing. Loved the birds, eagles and scenery...

Perfect little vacation.
Renee B. Jun 2017
The architecture and location of this home is inspired. Large windows look out on beautiful Lake Pend Oreille. This house has everything from aesthetic beauty, to a gourmet kitchen, to a fun game room, to a nice dock on the lake. It was perfect for our family of 6 adults and 2 kids.
Craig B. Jun 2017
Really enjoyed our stay
Faith S. May 2017
I have rented this house twice, and I love it. The location is amazing, right on the lake, and the house is absolutely beautiful! We have stayed in other rentals on the lake, and they were more expensive and not nearly as nice. I can't recommend this place enough!
Benjamin C. Apr 2017
Perfect location for our getaway. Two families and more than enough space. Great home for kids. We loved the view when lounging on the deck! The home was cozy. We could warm up when we need to and snuggle in one of many cozy blankets! Every room is perfect. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook. Felt like living in luxury staying here. Thank You for a wonderful getaway.
Eric C. Apr 2017
We enjoyed staying in this large cabin on the lake. All the appliances and amenities were modern and the views could not be beat. I was a little worried at first with the radiant heated floors since it was still wintertime but the house stayed cozy and warm. The views of the lake great you through the floor to ceiling windows as soon as you walk in. This was even more beautiful with the snowcapped mountains across the way. Our kids enjoyed playing games in the basement while the adults sat on the deck and enjoyed being (what seemed like) away from everything. Our drive to downtown Sandpoint only took 15 minutes and was very scenic on Bottle Bay Road. I could only imagine how busy the lake gets in the summertime so it was a nice change of pace. The driveway was plowed and had plenty of room to park. It was a nice place to come home to after a long day of skiing.
Sandra G. Apr 2017
We have rented many homes over the years, this was probably the best. Kitchen is very well equipped, we all love cooking. Beds were comfortable and view was outstanding!
Gregg H. Mar 2017
Enjoyed our stay at this home.
Erik H. Mar 2017
Nice house in a good area. Very pretty surroundings.

Very Accommodating!
Vicky P. Jan 2017
The house was beautiful!
Robert A. Dec 2016
Breathtaking house on the water. our family had an unforgettable time there! Thank you.
Larry S. Nov 2016
PROS: Beautiful home, nice views, upscale appliances, good furniture.
CONS: Heat was lousy, doors would not lock. No directions on how things work. Location was not conducive to driving to town. Hard to locate after dark. Would not stay here again. In fact, my wife and had to leave a day early because of the heat problem. Might be a better place to stay in the summer when the lake is useable. Not sure if there is A/C or not. Overall, a below average experience.
Manager response:
We are sorry to see that this guest did not appear to have good heat during their stay. The Property Manager has inspected the heat source and found it to be working as well as all doors locking. Thanks!
Shane P. Nov 2016
There was no heat. The property has radiant heat through the floors. We turned all of the thermostats on and it did work the entire weekend. This should get fixed for the next group, specifically as it gets colder.
Manager response:
This home does use radiant heat which means it uses hot water to warm the home. This process is slower than gas or electric. When guests turn up the thermostat to try and expedite the process it taxes out the boilers, especially when hot water is being used in other places (i.e. showers). There is a fireplace available for guest use to aid in warming the home.
William W. Oct 2016
We actually live on a lake in Oregon which gives us a unique perspective. Overall we thought this house was excellent and took full advantage of the setting and available amenities.
William S. Oct 2016
I can't say enough about this property. We have rented many vacation homes over the years and this was the best yet. The craftsmanship of the timber frame construction is amazing. The wide open, large living room, dining room and kitchen spaces are the centerpiece of this magnificent home. No cheap amenities anywhere in this house: great design, construction, and well furnished.
