Recent Molokai vacation rental reviews

Molokai is a very special place and if you do your homework ahead of time, you will know what to expect. The Paniolo Hale is a wonderful complex with a range of units to rent at different prices. Our unit was one of the older ones and so was more affordable and showed its age. Having said that, the complex's location is excellent with lush grounds and a short walk to beaches and hiking. Our unit was well equipped for cooking, a good range of cook ware and implements. We appreciated whether it was the hosts or recent renters who left basics such as foil, plastic wrap, paper napkins as well as some spices. Lots of towels for the unit and beach. As well, there were beach chairs, a cooler, two yoga mats, and an umbrella though it was too windy when we were there to use the umbrella at the beach. While we knew there were no loungers on the lanai, that would be a welcome addition. It was delightful to sit there and watch the butterflies and birds but the chairs at the table were not very comfortable. If you want to unwind with the TV in the evening, there is one arm chair so we pulled over one of the kitchen chairs, not ideal, however we knew the furniture set up from the photos ahead of time. The fans and winds kept the place cool without air conditioning. We would swim in the ocean or explore in the mornings and enjoy the pool in the afternoon which was very quiet during our stay. We did have a couple of maintenance issues and the property management company was very responsive.

Ocean view, coconut trees sounds, beautiful room, comfortable bed, enjoyable patio furniture, authentic and private, toilet leaked and bathrub slowly drained

Not only was this studio gorgeous…it was very well appointed. Everything we needed ( minus food) was there. However, I wish they’d been a better description of the resort itself. It’s not really a resort. It’s a condo complex with a pool & mini mart. We did enjoy digging into the history of the old Sheraton and walking the abandoned buildings and golf course. Very relaxing vacation!

Where are our Molokai vacation rentals?

Molokai is the fifth largest of the Hawaiian islands. Situated between the larger tourist destinations of Maui and Oahu, Molokai feels a lot like one of Hawaii’s best-kept secrets. Visitors arrive via a short connecting flight from either Maui or Oahu.

Things to do near our Molokai vacation rentals

Take a deep breath—you’ve arrived in paradise. If you’re seeking a bustling getaway with abundant nightlife, familiar chain restaurants and shopping, and resort-lined beaches, you may fare better in one of Hawaii’s more popular islands. But if you want to truly get away and reset, then you’re right to choose a Molokai vacation rental. While the island surely receives its fair share of tourism, unlike its counterparts, most of Molokai’s economy is made up of ranching, pineapple production, and sugarcane farming.

Our sleepy Molokai oceanfront rentals are the perfect place to experience Hawaii’s incredibly beautiful—and unique—landscape. The island is home to Hawaii’s longest fringing coral reef and longest white sand beach, and the tallest sea cliffs in the world. Experience the lush beauty of Halawa Valley, with its waterfalls and beaches, or embark on a kayaking adventure along the ocean reefs.

If you prefer a more leisurely pace, a guided tour of Halawa Tropical Flower Farm is the perfect way to spend a sunny afternoon. You can even enjoy a refreshing smoothie at the end of your tour, made with local tropical fruits. If you’re searching for local eateries, you’re in luck—our Molokai oceanfront rentals are near many off-the-beaten-path dining establishments, from low-key burger joints to romantic sunset restaurants.

However you want to spend your time in Molokai, one thing is for sure: it’s the perfect place to really disconnect and reset. Whether you’re stopping through on an island-hopping trip, or planning a longer sojourn with tranquil beaches and forests, our Molokai vacation rentals are just the place. Find your perfect escape today.
