Things to Do in Serra de' Conti

Ringed by well-preserved medieval walls, this charming village has some notable historic architecture! Standing on the ruins of a fourteenth-century structure, the Monastery of St. Mary Magdalene has a long and storied history. Visit the site, then go to the Monastic Art Museum for an audio-guided theatrical journey that will teach you about the artifacts found at the monastery, particularly the looms, dyeing materials, and the apothecary arts that the nuns practiced.

Step back in time and stroll along the perimeter of the walls through the old town of Serra de' Conti. A fortified gate and ten towers are spaced out along the walls and remain in excellent condition. Make sure to visit Town Hall, build around the ancient Cloister of St. Francis.

The new, family-style wine tastings at the Az. Vitivinicola Casaleta winery are delicious and worth a stop during your stay. Wine connoisseurs and anyone who is interested in wine-making can take a tour of the cellars from the knowledgeable owner, before retiring to your cozy Serra de' Conti vacation home with a few bottles for later! Don't confine yourself to just the wine, though - make sure to try some of the locally-sourced food, particularly the salamis, from the family's butcher shop.

Regardless of what brings you to this corner of the world, you'll find everything that you're looking for (and more!) when you stay in one of our lovely Serra de' Conti vacation rentals.
