Things to Do in Porto Cervo

With some of the best beaches in the world, Porto Cervo offers tranquil, secluded settings with crystal clear water and white sand. Pay a visit to Spiaggia del Pevero, one of the area's must-see beaches, and experience relaxation in a setting of pure natural perfection. If you're there for an afternoon, treat yourself to drinks and some food at the beach bar.

Visit beautiful Stella Maris, a Gaudiesque church perched all in white on a lush, green hillside. Tour the inside of this peaceful, juniper-scented structure and take in El Greco artworks.

Make your way to the Orso Diving Club for scuba diving and snorkeling, as well as boat tours offering dolphin and whale watching. Experienced golfers will love the challenging Pevero Golf Course, which offers a relaxed environment with stunning ocean views from several holes. 

Art lovers will not be disappointed by Monte di Mola Museum, which features classic and lesser-known works of the likes of Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, and Keith Haring, as well as many local artists. 

Where to Eat in Porto Cervo

For fresh, authentic Italian food, dine at Frades - La Sardegna in Bottega. A wine bar with tapas, this modest little venue offers up excellent Sardinian wines, luscious cheeses, and quality Italian meat products. If you're looking for great food at a fair price, Spinnaker Porto Cervo awaits. This lively venue offers homemade pasta, fresh seafood, and wood oven pizzas, as well as tapas and a variety of wines. 

Aruaná Churrascaria is so popular, you'll likely want to make your reservation in advance. It's menu selections, quality of fare, and gorgeous outdoor setting - which consists of a lovely pool in a garden with soft lighting - are what draw people to experience its cuisine. 

Pay a visit to La Michetta for friendly service and a laid-back atmosphere if you find yourself craving American food. Juicy burgers, crispy fries, and ribs appear on the menu, alongside delicious wines and tasty desserts. 

Day Trips from Porto Cervo

If you're looking to get out and explore, Porto Cervo isn't far from other venues and destinations that will round out your vacation for a full Italian paradise experience. 

Capriccioli beach is close to home, and while it may be on the small side, it abounds with verdant Mediterranean foliage such as pine and olive trees. The waters are temperate, calm, and shallow, making it an excellent setting for families with kids. Imposing granite rocks split the beach in two, where you can feast your eyes on panoramic views of Mortorio, Soffi, and Le Camere islands. 

Gennargentu, Sardinia's largest mountain range, is farther away - a little over a hundred miles - but absolutely worth the drive if you're in the mood for excellent hiking. Visit the national park for wildlife viewing and gorgeous vistas.

Cagliari, the capital of Sardinia, is about 190 miles to the south and is an excellent destination to immerse yourself in Sardinian culture. From wine tours, museums, and shopping to outdoor activities, fascinating historic sites, and a happening nightlife, Cagliari offers a wonderful seaside experience with an urban flair.
