Lovely dog-friendly home w/ lakefront views, dock, and a private guest cottage!
Truly get away from it all at this five-bedroom lakeside Florence vacation rental! You'll have lake views from the deck, blooming hydrangeas in the spring, the sounds of nature surrounding you, and lots of space for the whole family (up to 12 guests) to relax. Located directly across from the boat launch at Honeyman Park, this home even boasts its own dock! This property has a main house and a small, one bedroom cottage.
After a day spent enjoying nature, come back to the spacious and comfortable living room for a night of watching DVDs in front of the wood burning fireplace. With two sofas, there's a spot for everyone! Sliding glass doors lead out to the deck with its lake views and also give this space a lot of natural light.
The large kitchen includes an eat-in table with a sectional bench, as well as a stools lining the kitchen counter for family meals with everyone gathered around. And in addition to the expected appliances (refrigerator, stovetop/oven, and dishwasher), there's also a waffle iron, blender, slow cooker, and a toaster. You can get everyone out of bed on a Sunday morning with plates of waffles, bacon, juice and a pot of coffee, then get ready to head outside on a hike.
There are two bedrooms downstairs - one has a queen bed and the other has two twins, as well as a full bathroom. And upstairs, the two bedrooms have the same layout, and the bathroom has a shower. With seven beds, this home comfortably sleeps 10 guests, but with a maximum occupancy of 12, you're welcome to bring air mattresses for the remaining two guests.
Other amenities include a stereo and CD player, as well as a washer and dryer.
But one of the best spots on this whole property is the deck overlooking Woahink Lake! Grab a coffee mug in the morning and head outside for coffee with an amazing view - you can stay on the deck or listen to the sounds of nature down at the dock. The whole family will enjoy spending time out here. There's a charcoal grill if you want to make burgers or steaks, as well as an outdoor fire pit. After dinner, round everyone up for ghost stories and s'mores out around the fire.
Now, if there are one or two guests in your group that would like a bit more privacy, the small cottage on the property is a great option! This cute, cozy space has a queen sized bed, a full bathroom, and a kitchenette with a small refrigerator, microwave, and a coffeemaker. There's also a TV with a VCR, so be sure to bring your favorites movies on tape from home. Up to 10 guests (eight in the main house and two in the cottage) can comfortably stay here - you can add two more if they don't mind using sleeping bags! And also, dogs are welcome! Bring up to two furry companions, though a nightly fee per dog and a minimum fee per stay will apply.
When you want to get down to the water, there are boardwalk pathways that will get you there. Out on the lake, you'll be able to fish for largemouth bass, trout, perch, and more. On the east side there are boat ramps, as well as a roped off swimming area. Pack a picnic lunch and head down to the water for an afternoon of family fun!
This location truly offers the best of both worlds - the quiet serenity of an inland lake, but then you're also just 4 miles from the sandy beach. Here, you'll enjoy a long stretch of sandy shoreline just perfect for running with the dogs, building sandcastles, or flying kites. The sandy dunes in Florence are also the perfect place to try sandboarding, go for a dune buggy ride, or just climb to the top and tumble your way back down!
For a little city excitement, make a stop in Old Town Florence to browse the galleries, shop for souvenirs, or have a snack. The Siuslaw Pioneer Museum features living history exhibits, photographs, and artifacts from Florence's history and for a dinner out, be sure to try the crab-encrusted halibut at the Waterfront Depot. Before heading back, maybe pick up some ground beans at Siuslaw River Coffee Roasters for a great cup of coffee on the deck in the morning.
When you want to put down the electronics and cable remotes, plan a stay at this wonderful and peaceful Florence vacation rental. You'll enjoy lovely lake views, cozy furnishings, and quality family time you'll always remember.
***Due to the home's steep and narrow driveway, please do not bring a trailer to this property.

The setting and space is fantastic. This is our third family stay here. Quiet, private and beautiful lake access. Missing some basic elements - spatula, garbage cans, parts of the fridge.... little things but noticable. The higher price this year cut our stay short - but no smoke in the air was a huge benefit.
This place has it all! So secluded and amazing. Some might think the amenities need to be upgraded, but we found that part of its charm. 10 out of 10!
We just spent the last week at this beautiful property Amazing lake and views are beautiful. Flowers around the property were lovely and the house was perfect for our family. We were traveling with 6 adults. The kitchen was very well stocked and nice appliances But could an update. Wish there were screens on the windows as the weather was perfect. The fishing was awesome for my son. And there was always something to do in the surrounding area of Florence. Rogue river boat ride. Sand dune rides shopping in Florence and yummy crab chowder at novellis on the dock in Florence. We also got fresh tuna right off the boat from novellis. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back. ❤️
We've spent perfect time there. Everything was great.
really loved the location as well as the fireplace outside, the house is big and comfortable and can take large group of people.
Great location and cozy home provided an excellent setting for a small women's retreat. We are looking forward to coming back this summer.
This house had the most stunning views, and is supremely secluded. Coming down a long and narrow driveway, you enter a small parking lot that can accommodate three economy cars comfortably, and four cars tightly. Any more than that and you will have a terrible time trying to get in and out. Large trucks and anything towing trailers is a terrible idea to bring. Trying to turn around to back up is tremendously difficult and causes no small amount of swearing from the drivers. Upon entering the main house, it is VERY spacious and welcoming, with very large windows and a wonderful skylight that frames the tops of tall trees and sky. There are plenty of rooms to be able to comfortably accommodate 10 people, more if you squeeze some people in between. There are plenty of bathrooms to keep people comfortable. The kitchen is somewhat small to work in, but the stove and the dishwasher are fairly new and serve well. One dock on one side of the house, and another boardwalk on the other side of the house, provide views that elicit a sense of total peace. The internet, when it is working, is pretty fast at about 15-20 Mbps. It did not fail for us, but when we got there we had to call to have it fixed as it was non-functional. But Vacasa got it up and running within a day, very nice work and attentive when we brought up the issue. The cabin has a strange musty smell, but if you are in and out of it often enough you can sort of get used to it. If it's wet outside, walk on the shingled attached to the decking! Otherwise it get slippery. Not good for Gramma and Gramps, if you know what I mean. This house had plenty of dishes, pots and pans, a nice microwave, toaster, silverware and utensils to make plenty of good food. There are lots of provided spices from previous guests, but much of it is past its prime and needs to be thrown away. Bring all of your own consumables is my only recommendation there. The house is VERY cold in the colder months. Older style windows make it hard to warm it up. Plus the flue in the fireplace is like a winter wind-tunnel. Unless you have a fire going, cold air is going to leech out of there and keep anyone near it very cold. However there is a HUGE abundance of blankets, both light and heavy. Lots of seating area! I particularly loved the dining table, which can easily accommodate 10 people. Washer and drier work perfectly fine and kept our clothes clean. I would stay here again. The cost is a bit restrictive, but if you have multiple parties attending and paying, it makes the whole thing worth it.
Our office rented this property for the weekend for a retreat. It was PERFECT
The House was fantastic with plenty of room for our group. We fished off of the dock during the day and hung out by the fire at night. It was close to town and the dunes.
We had a great time there. This house had almost everything. We hope we will come back again.
If your intent is to be adequately housed in an area of nature perfection, then this place will fulfill that for you. If you appreciate more being indoors with modern, updated and luxurious amenities and applications (which this place DOES not have), but still value seeing nature from outside your windows, then there is the give and take you would need to wrestle with in choosing this place. Vacate service is great.
We paid 900 dollars for a middle of the week stay, after tourist season. This house was nowhere near as roomy and big as the pictures depicted. The furnishings were reminiscent of a teenage summer camp setting. The driveway is a nightmare and 4 vehicles parking there required a 7 point turnaround for 2 of them to get out again. This house would be ok, albeit expensive, for a 20-30 year old couple and some friends for a get together, but not a nice family gathering with Grandma and Grandpa who don't get around as well as most of us. Still all in all it's a beautiful spot in a beautiful setting but it couldn't be missed that even with the beautiful lake setting that there were several places where it looked like they came in with some kind of idea then changed their mind? I wouldn't advise the hiking idea to anyone who isn't physically fit. This was our first experience with Vacasa and we would be hesitant to rent with them again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at a fir peace. The location is wonderful, the driveway can be hard to find but worth it once you get down to the house. Very homey and comfortable. All 11 people in our group enjoyed themselves and want to come back again soon!
Had a great time. This place is not plush but quite comfortable for a cabin experience. The little issues we had were what we expected for a cabin retreat.
A Fir Peace is a really awesome place to stay. The property is beautiful and large, we never ran into any neighbors. The house itself is perfectly set up for a large group or a couple of families. The two docks is a big plus because when the sun stops hitting one you can move to the other. Lake Woahink is also very beautiful and great for swimming and boating.
We all had an amazing time. Surroundings are awesome!!
The sign on the main road could be more visible... but everybody found his way at the end of the day!
We brought my folks here for my Mothers 80th Birthday. We could not have been happier with the whole setup. Absolutely beautiful location, great spot for the dogs, and the folks loved it. If you are looking for a modern, fancy place, this is not it. If you are looking for a great, down to earth Lake house, you will be hard pressed to find a better one. I will definitely be back!!
We loved this house! We want to come back already and we just left. The grounds are beautiful, right on the water's edge. Our kids loved the trails to explore. We came in the rainy season, and the deck is SLIPPERY! be careful!!! Don't run, walk and use purposeful steps. Kitchen was well stocked, little cabin did smell a bit musty (but I didn't stay in there, so I don't mind). We will be back in the summer time. Hopefully the lake is warm- although we had two crazies who took the plunge in march 😂
All in all great stay! Thanks!
The house was very hard to find. The staff said there is a sign at the road but the sign is 30 yards off main road down a driveway that also goes to two other homes. The driveway is very narrow and long. It is also hard to turn around at the house. The outside dock and patio area is very nice, other than that the house had a funky smell. I will not rent this home again.
Our family of 12 had a great two weeks at Fir Peace. We loved the secluded location, a warm, cozy, comfortable cabin with plenty of room for all of us. The kids ( and grown ups ) enjoyed exploring the paths thru the forest around the cabin. We found plenty to do right there that we didn't need to leave. Everything you need is provided for a great vacation. Early mornings watching the rain thru the huge windows with a hot mug of steaming coffee was the perfect way to start each day. Beautiful bluejays visited rain or shine each day. Papa even gave his grandkids fishing lessons from the dock. We hope to visit again soon and enjoy the other seasons.
Thank you for sharing your peaceful cabin with us.
This was an absolutely delightful spot to stay - We were blessed by a rainy weekend and the sound of the rain on the skylights was magical. It was quiet, the beds were great, the view of the lake is magnificent. Having wifi was an added bonus.
I am very pleased with the Fir Peace house. Has a wonderful view of the lake. The surroundings was very peaceful. We had a group of 10 and everyone liked it.
The property was so secluded it as like a private retreat. We loved being able to sit on the dock and around the fire pit and we were the only ones there! We had an opportunity to reconnect with our grown children with no outside interruptions. We went antiquing and played in the near by water. Heceta Head and Devil's Churn were spectacular. There were 9 adults and a baby and it fit our family perfect.
Recommend to all, had a wonderful time, Great location clean spacious house, Would definitely go back. 5/5!!
Overall, a great location with lots of room. It was wonderful sitting outside by the lake. Perfect for kayaking!
We had lots of fun. Beautiful view!!!!
We love this place and have stayed here a few times now. It's perfect for our medium sized family and it's located in the most idyllic spot on the lake. Unfortunately each year we go to book, the cost continues to increase above and beyond what seems reasonable, with 2017 rates pretty much securing that we will not be able to return. Very frustrated and sad to have to leave a place we dreamed of visiting every summer.
We had a great time. Just what we expected!
Our family filled all the beds and enjoyed two days of sun and water play. I recommend this property for families who enjoy boating and floating.
We had a power outage and the local rep was very helpful on doing everything he could to help speed the process up of getting our power back on, even coming down to check on us!!
We had a great time. View from inside is good and the house is cozy. Fire pit was great for sitting around with the family. Unfortunately we only caught one fish from the dock all weekend, but we had a good time sitting around with bait in the water.
Maintenance, quality of furnishings, amenities, and cleanliness of the property are poor. Other than these, everything was great!
Thank you for your feedback; we will advise the owner of your comments. We are glad to see that you enjoyed your stay!
This is a great location right on the lake. Be sure to bring your paddle craft. They have a dock on the property. The house is well set up for up to 10 people to be comfortable. It has great outdoor space. Be aware the first night in the house will be cold if the weather is cold. We spent our first evening in a 50 something degree living room. Heat was fine after the first day.
Some of the beds are not as comfortable as they should be. Some of our party found their bed to uncomfortable to get much sleep.
The extra cabin is a nice feature.
Six family members spent the weekend for a birthday. We spent the time enjoying the view, playing games and having a fire in the fireplace. We brought wood as suggested and were VERY glad we did. it added a lot. Weather was great. plenty of room for all and then some, Thank you
Our family loves this spot. There's easy access to the lake with lots of wildlife to see. It is just a quick drive from Florence where great restaurants and quaint shops await you. When you return to the property you can relax by the fire or watch a game on the tv. Every appliance you could need is there including a coffee maker, waffle iron, slow cooker, mini food processor, and an iron. It is very clean and tucked away in the trees where you feel secluded from the chaos of the world.
Having stayed in many rental properties all over Oregon and beyond, I have to say this one is special. The location alone put a smile on my face. It reminded me of a loved family vacation spot that I grew up going to as a kid. The dwelling is not fancy, but comfortable, light and bright. The extra cottage was perfect for our 3 generation gathering. A beautiful spot to enjoy the outdoors.
Our family spent four nights and had a fantastic time. Lots so room to be a group but many quiet spots to have a little solitude. 100% agreement that we want to come back.
Perfect place for a weekend with family. Great location.
Beautiful setting, great place for families with kids. Close to town and dunes.
Bring mosquitoe repellent.
What lovely surroundings! The cottage is so cute and was warm. Having 5 bedrooms for our family was delightful. Each couple had their own room. The view facing the Lake from the A frame was delightful. The management stocked everything. We had plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, kitchen gadgets, blankets, etc. Next time we won't bring so much and take them at
their word. We will definitely stay here again.
The pathways and entry into the water was spectacular and is not clear in photos.
The weather was good so we really enjoyed being outside.
A perfect spot for our family vacation and we will be back!!!!!
It's a lovely area and a great place to get away from it all. Florence is such a great place if one wants to get back to civilization.
