Private, bayfront home with seasonal pool/hot tub/spa; fishing dock, dogs ok!
Boasting an incredible array of amenities, this dog-friendly Newport vacation rental has a beautiful view of Yaquina Bay and a location that's just a short walk to Newport's historic bayfront and all its galleries and restaurants. And when you're not off exploring Newport's beaches and shops, you'll have community amenities like a swimming pool, hot tubs, weight room, and more right on-site.
After a day spent at the Oregon Coast Aquarium across the bridge or wandering through Newport's bayfront attractions, you'll appreciate being able to come home to your comfortable, well-stocked condo at the Embarcadero. Lounge on the sofa in front of the woodstove to talk about the day or watch a DVD on the cable TV sharing a big bowl of popcorn. From the living room, you'll also have beautiful bay views - if it's nice out, you'll want to enjoy the stunning view right from your deck. Check your email with the free WiFi as you relax in the deck with a morning cup of coffee.
Meals can easily be prepared in the cute, tiled full kitchen - there's even a dishwasher so you won't have to spend valuable vacation time scrubbing pots and pans. Of course, you're also just steps away from a number of Newport's best eateries. You can pick up a wood-fired pizza at Panini's bayfront location, snack on fresh fish tacos at Local Ocean Seafoods, or have pints of Dead Guy ale and Brutal Reuben sandwiches at Rogue Ales Public House.
When it's time for bed, the two bedrooms offer a king and queen bed, with a sofabed in the living room. From the king bedroom, you'll even have a gorgeous Yaquina Bay view. And don't forget the dogs! Up to two dogs are welcome here with a small nightly fee.
And now for the best part - those wonderful amenities! This Oregon Coast vacation rental has an indoor swimming pool, two hot tubs, a sauna, and a private crabbing/fishing dock. There are sun decks for enjoying a clear day at the coast and from almost any location you'll be rewarded with lovely water views!
This great Newport location also offers a lot of variety. You can walk along Bay Boulevard, browsing galleries or walk a bit north through town to the artsy Nye Beach area. Spend rainy days at the Oregon Coast Aquarium, then make the short drive south along Highway 101 to explore tide pools at Seal Rock State Wayside during a sun break.
Right nearby there's also hiking and biking opportunities - one of the most notable being Yaquina Head Outstanding National Area. You can take a deep sea fishing excursion through Newport Tradewinds, located right along the bayfront. Or, go razor clamming on Newport's Agate Beach or beachcombing at Beverly Beach.
One thing is for sure, at this Central Oregon Coast vacation rental you will never run out of things to do! Even on rainy days, you can watch a storm over the water right from your living room windows or spend the day relaxing near the indoor pool and hot tubs.
Note: pool is seasonal and only open from April - Oct
This unit was cute, a little out dated, but it was still perfect for my family and I.
Enjoyed how quiet it was there , all the amenities , hearing the boats
I loved the view and the accommodations! The beds were amazingly comfortable and the condo was decked-out with a lot of stuff we needed and utilized. I personally loved the patio decks. The location was great for walking to local attractions, shops, and restaurants.
The only challenging part was that both shower heads screamed when they were running water, so they may need to be tightened, resealed, or replaced. Also, the stove has a very long pre-heat and does not seem to be sealed underneath the coils. But all of that was manageable.
We appreciate your feedback and apologize for the inconveniences faced during your stay. The shower heads have since been tightened to make sure there is not leaking or noise. The oven was checked and is preheating at normal speeds, our local staff will keep an eye on this to make sure it remains working properly.
I've stayed at this resort 5 times, but this is my favorite condo. The view is excellent, the decks are comfortable, and it was so nice to be able to wash clothes without hiking up the hill several times. One other reviewer said that it could use updates, which is true, but as a pet-friendly condo I can see how it makes sense to keep things as they are. The furniture is comfortable and the decor is great- all the other condos I've stayed in have been stuffed with lighthouse knick-knacks and this condo has beautiful photography instead. The kitchen is well equipped and the bathrooms were nice. I hope to visit again in the future.
Sadly we’ve stayed at this hotel (and loved it) before but this time we booked through Vacasa who owns this specific room we rented. The place was not liveable. The mirror was shattered, tv and fireplace didn’t work, and floorboards were sticking up with sharp edges and staples exposed. The blankets were dirty (large stains). Unfortunately the management has given us the run around, not called back and not addressed one single concern. Book with Vacasa at your own risk but we will never use them again.
We are very sorry to see our guest was so disappointed. The floor boards have been fixed, the mirror has been replaced, and the TV and fireplace were found to be working perfectly. Thank you!
We loved it, loved the view, crabbing, our room was wonderful, will stay again
This condo was a outdated and the beds need replaced (as does the sofa sleeper) BUT overall a great place for a small group.
Wonderful location and the view was beautiful! Would definitely recommend this condo and would stay again, however the rate we paid was definitely top of the scale for the condo and would not pay the asking amount for the Summer (High) Season. We visit the coast multiple times a year and unfortunately will not stay here again unless the rate is in Low Season or major updates are done.
We have done significant maintenance work on this home since this reservation, and we hope to next update some furnishings. Thank you!
This is the Oregon Coast at its best and I was born there!
I do not want to see Vacasa get a bad name because of this one unit, please be sure this owner is notified, it was a MOTEL 6 room, not an Embarcadero Room.
We have discussed this review with the owner. Thank you!
This condo is in a fabulous area, the views are impeccable! However, she is quite outdated when it comes to furniture. Bring your own pillows/ sheets/ blankets if you really want fresh. Cute Kitchen, but the view is what you are paying for.
We have laundered all bedding and sincerely apologize if this guest found any of those items lacking in cleanliness. The owner is staying here in the near future to assess what kind of updates can be done to the home to make it even more enjoyable to stay in. Thank you!
The location is great. The bay is peaceful. Easy walking distance to old town. Condo needs some updating. The beds are worn out. Not comfortable. One recliner is not very stable. The saltwater pool was wonderful. In all was a great weekend
Maintenance has stabilized the chair, and we have advised the owner of the suggested upgrades. Thanks!
Great view of the bay, bridge and sunset. Dog friendly. Access to moorage on site.
Love the city of Newport and the Embarcadoro delivers a beautiful view of the harbor. Make sure you look good at pictures of the interiors of the condos to choose one you think you will be comfortable in.
We enjoyed the view. Condo is a little bit outdated but we found it charming.
From a mildew odour, to mold issues on upstairs window sills, to stained carpets; for a rental property in this price point, you need to do better.
In reading reviews of this property prior to booking, we were left with the impression that this unit was dated - but clean and well equipped. It sounded like a great option for our family, but it was neither.
Smaller issues, but expected in a vacation rental - a can opener, clean oven mitts and kitchen dish towels are basic things that were missing from the kitchen. The patio furniture was not in good condition/inviting.
At a minimum, you need to address the mold issues and the odour (which could be caused by the mold...) and adjust your price point.
We appreciate receiving this review. The kitchen towels and oven mitts have been replaced, the can opener was located behind the silverware, and the Embarcadero is replacing the windows over the next year. Thank you!
Great location and view. Adequate appointments. Dated appliances. Could use major update soon. However, it is at beach and no need to worry too much about condition.
Enjoyed 3 great days on the Oregon Coast with friends & family.
I had a great time in Newport with my family and friend from out of town.
Make sure to read your emails, the check in information is in there, the front desk staff did not know what to do with us when I tried to check in there.
The place was clean, had extra towels, and the view entertained the littles when we needed a dis tractor.
love the Embarcadero, nice view of the bay and the bridge
Great location, nice views, totally dated decor but feels just fine for a chill weekend at the coast.
Thank you for making our stay so relaxing and wonderful! We had an excellent view and there were awesome amenities!
This is an awesome location with plenty of activities for all. You should definitely try your luck with crabbing, but stop by England Marine next door and ask for a status on the crabbing.
Everything was amazing at this place and had great weather all week. The only draw back is the place needs a good carpet/overall cleaning. It is not filthy just needs a good cleaning.
This is the first time I am in Oregon. I stayed at Newport for 5 days. The room has good view and very clean. I enjoyed very much and will come back again.
We brought our 93 yr old mom to the facility for a couple days. All good.
It is a pleasant place to stay!
The balconies have direct access to the roofs. The rail can be passed by pets and children. I would not recommend this place for anyone with small children. The furniture was comfortable but dated. No AC meant hot days because of Windows on front. Beds were very comfortable. Good place for adults but not families with children or pets.
We are sorry to see that this guest found their stay a bit uncomfortable due to the unusual heat. Air conditioning is usually not needed on the coast, and fans are provided to help with air circulation.
Very beautiful view and great location. Needs updating but very spacious.
The decor and utilities were a little out-dated but we didn't come here for that! We came to wake up to the beautiful bayfront, the sound of seagulls and barking sea lions and to smell that wonderful sea air every morning. It was a great delight to watch the sunset from the porch and enjoy all the serenity of the water. So very lovely. We didn't get a chance to use any of the added amenities like the pool, sauna or gym but I am sure they were more than adequate.
We enjoyed our stay and the kids had a wonderful time. They liked the pool, the hot tub at the resort and everybody had a wonderful time????????
If you are looking for a rental with spectacular views this is the place. Don't expect updated furnishings but really is that important. It wasn't for us. We felt completely at home here. I personally didn't even need to leave to site see. I could've stayed in the condo all four days. I did manage to read one of the many books that are there for your choosing.
Newport is a lovely town. Lots to do and people are very friendly. Lovely coastline.
View and balconies were amazing! Furnishings and appliances are very outdated and old but functional.
Very good location and nice to have an indoor pool (salt water) for the kids. Very nice staff. Can crab right off the dock. The unit itself needs updating. Comfortable but old furnishings. Both DVD player and washing machine did not work. We were there with 3 of our grandchildren so laundry sould have been nice. We bought a DVD player to use while there. We did very much enjoy our stay and the price was good. We would stay there again if we had our grandchildren with us.
We apologize that the DVD player and washing machine were out of order for this guest's stay. The Property Manager will take care of these issues as soon as possible.
We had a great stay here.
I wish we could stay longer. The view from our house was awesome. The house was good; enough blankets for us. I wish the kitchen were a little more furnishing. We got some crabs and cooked right there. This season the crabs were so tasty. We spent some time in the gym, pool and hot tubs. We ran along the beach early morning. Everybody love it!
While not right on the ocean, the harborside Embarcadero is a nice complex, especially if you enjoy modern architecture. The complex itself has a nice indoor pool and two warm, if weak-jetted, jacuzzis, with a medium size workout area. The grounds are lovely, and parking was ample.
This unit has two floors, each with its own balcony... that is the best part about it. The views are amazing... I swear it helped improve my NY Times crossword puzzle performance... and, even when a storm rolls in, it is fun to curl up with a hot cup and enjoy it. For this alone, we would return. Going into this rental, we understood it is not updated inside. It is a little less expensive than other units in the area, so we figured it would be a little compromise.
However, we did expect everything in the unit to be in working condition. We brought groceries and were unable to use most of them because the dishwasher was broken and filled with gross, dirty dishes. The furniture was comfortable enough, but the lighting was poor. Not all the lamps worked, and it was difficult to see the table for board games and art projects. The TVs are oddly situated, so if you have more than a couple of people wanting to watch (or if you want to watch in bed), it will be tricky. The heating is also not very reliable, so if you stay here, be sure to bring extra sweaters and bring or buy wood for the stove. Also, the king mattress (at least) is not very comfortable, and it is pretty bouncy, so beware if you are a light sleeper and/or have a restless partner. There are some other odd things about this unit, but mostly they are just charming in a vintage way. Just beware if you rent this unit that some things may or may not work, and you might want to be ready to adjust in order to accommodate.
One other thing: if you plan on trying your hand at crabbing, the Embarcadero does rent crab traps and sells bait for use off its dock outside the rec center. However, the traps are expensive and the area is over-fished. We tried it on a lark and managed to catch a handful of crabs that were too small or otherwise not suitable. We would have come out ahead by buying fresh crabs in a local market. We'd advise against renting the crab trap unless it's crabbing season.
Thank you so much for sharing your review and sharing your detailed feedback. We shared your comments with our property manger and they will look into each item you brought up to make sure that our guests are as comfortable as possible going forward. We are happy that you enjoyed the area and hope you come stay with us again.
This is a true each house the view is perfects and we enjoyed the pool and crabbing dock, caught 6 crabs!
I was a little disappointed in the old furnishings but it is a beach house. I thought they could have provided a few more towels and paper items, like coffee filers, extra roll of toilet paper since the one was 3/4 gone. The DVD player skips so don't plan on using it, it will just make you frusterated
Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We will ask housekeeping to leave more towels and make sure there is another roll of toilet paper available. The Property Manager will check on the DVD player so we can make sure that's not a nuisance anymore. We are glad to see that you enjoyed the view and got to do some crabbing!
We have stayed atbthe embarcadero since i was a child. I loved having the full condo, upstairs and down so that we had more room to spread out but still soend the weekend together. The view and the amenities were awesome as usual.
No better view of Newport due to the large windows. Furniture and decor is very outdated but everything was clean and comfortable. We would rent this again.
Enjoyed our stay in Newport. Great boat trip! Great restaurants!. Clean condo.
This is a nice, spacious condo with lots of room for two couples or two singles who like space. The view of the Yacquina Bridge is splendid and a highlight of the place. The upstairs bedroom, open like a loft, has this incredible view. Condo is very quiet and well located where a short walk takes one onto the bayfront. We enjoyed the unit very much and found it comfy, well appointed, and well situated. Some of the furnishings, especially the rugs, show their wear, but nothing was broken and all in all it was a very pleasant stay.
We stayed with another couple for a special birthday celebration. The layout of the condo is great, with an upstairs and a downstairs bedroom. Being on the bay was an unexpected treat--away from the ocean, we had a heron on the water's edge below our balcony and saw sea lions fishing not far away. There is so much within walking distance as far as shops, with good grocery stores not far away. I highly recommend this condo and would love to come back.
Location and amentities in the resort were awesome. Unit has dated furnishings but was clean overall other than the carpet. I'd come back
Great location with multitude of activities very close to "home"! Charter fishing to crabbing with crab bait at the front desk! to great dinning experience on site!!
This place is an older resort so expect a few tiny issues with kitchen appliances, etc. HOWEVER, the location is perfect. Having two balconies is DELUXE. Lots of windows for great views, VERY PRIVATE, very quiet, yet a five minute walk from the craziness of the bay front. We walked to the aquarium, walked to the beach, walked to great restaurants. Fourth of July fireworks from the balconies were spectacular. We are already planning to return next year.
This was a fantastic experience, that was actually a mistake. A property manager elsewhere had not informed Vacasa staff that there was a problem with a rental property rendering it un-rentable. So Vacasa, at 7 pm on a very busy summer coastal Saturday night, put us here, and we could NOT have been more pleased! What a wonderful property! We intend to return!
Everything was very good. It was a very nice condo with a great view.
A quick taxi ride will take you anywhere in town. This is a great spot to stay, with a relaxing view.
My only negative is the experience I've had in the onsite restaurant. Poor service, limited menu due to the festival, and higher prices.
Everything else about Embarcadero, I love!
Thank you for your 5 star review! There is so much to do and see in Newport so it is nice to be able to take a short drive or walk to get to those things. I apologize for the restaurant. With the Seafood and Wine Festival going on, many restaurants do change their menus temporarily to showcase different items. Fortunately, the Newport Bayfront is a short walk away with lots of alternative dining options. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay and hope to have you as a guest again soon!
I enjoyed my stay a lot . Unfortunately I was over charged but when I called, it eventually was fixed. The tv didn't work for the first 2 days but fixed on the 3rd. Everyone I dealt with at vacasa was very helpful. Upon returning home I realized I left some fish in the freezer and when I called, you notified the current guests do it was still there so we coordinated a meeting and I got it back. Thank you very much
It was just right. Not so fancy that we had to worry about ruining anything but nice enough to feel homey.
Love this place. Perfect for our family of four. Beautiful view of the harbor and fishing boats and easy walking to all the shops and restaurants. Plus, the pool and hot tubs were wonderful after a day at the beach.
Spent five days here under perfect weather. Location is great. Unit is of an older vintage but was well equipped. We had an illness in the family so we were house bound for much of the time but the pleasure of being right on the bay and having a balcony on the leeward side made up for it. This was one comfortable place and we would stay again when next we visit Newport.
