It is my first time using Vacasa vs Airbnb. The condo is pet friendly enabling us to bring our dog, my grandkids were so excited to see the snow fall, and my children enjoyed the ski. Too sad the TV was not functioning that frustrated the kids. The loft’s ladder is too steep, no good for elders. But they respond fast to your requests when you can reach them over the phone.

Previously, DISH service had been provided by the HOA but the association has opted out of that service. We are exploring possible options to equip the home with streaming capabilities. I recommend if you are thinking of renting # 83, do Google the property. It is posted on different websites, the price varies as much as $200 for a 4 night stay, and cancelation policies were different. There was no price match. The location was perfect for our skiing and hiking plans. The views were amazing. The Condo feels welcoming. The Vacasa staff responded to my many email questions prior to our stay. I did not receive an answer the day before we left to find out our duties at check out. We had to guess, There was some question regarding a TV/DVR in the home, yes the photos are accurate.
There are only a few pots and pans, if cooking for full occupancy, it would be very difficult. The bedroom closets are filled with stuff, old smelling collection of stuff. Not sure what it is for, we left them alone and did not use the closets.
It took a couple of days to figure out why the downstairs bedrooms were filling with smoke when we used the fireplace in the living room. My son discovered the flue was open in the master bedroom. Once it was closed the air was better.
It was previous reported about the master shower not draining, supposedly it was snaked, it continues to not drain, the shower continues to fill with 2-3 inches of water that takes 30-45 min to drain.
If we return to the Huntington lake area we would stay at number #83 again Thank you

This condo is very airy and open. The ceiling must be 30' high! Our kids had a great time sledding just outside the condo. I'm curious how hard it would be to get up the hill if there were ice or snow. You should definitely bring traction of some kind.

We booked this unit due to its pet-friendly status and absolutely loved being able to bring our Golden Retriever with us. The space is located in a fantastic location with nearby areas that are great for sledding without having to drive. We loved the short drive to China Peak as well as to the nearby saloon/restaurant. That being said, this unit could greatly benefit from just a little time spent on updating a few areas. There are multiple hutches within the living room that are not needed that take up valuable floor space (3 in total). The kitchen was stocked with multiple coffee makers, some of them labeled "does not work". We found only a few frying pans when attempting to make breakfast sized semi-small/small, making it difficult to prepare breakfast for all occupants in a single setting. The shelf in the master shower apparently broke sometime during a previous occupant's stay (the shelf was found in our linen closet) and there is currently nowhere to place soap, razors etc except on the ground. We tried to work with this; however, the shower drain was not operating correctly and with each shower, approximately 2-3 inches of water would accumulate. We did need to call maintenance our first night as the heater was completely non-operable. I will say that the staff was very responsive and able to fix this on our second nights stay. Overall, high scores for location and pet-friendly status with a strong recommendation for the current owners to restore the glory of this little gem.

Good for fishermen who visit Lake. Nice kitchen and nice master bedroom. The rest is needs a lot of work.
Steep step leading to first floor bedrooms and bathrooms. Were not allowed to use elevator - we are all in our 70's. Small bedroom was terrible. Bed looked like it could cave in and was very uncomfortable,,room was tiny. Decks were in terrible condition; one had yellow tape across the railing as a warning...flooring on decks needs replacing too.
We apologize that the unit did not meet your expectations. Our guest’s comfort and satisfaction is priority, and we take this feedback seriously. • The Vacasa Staff listened carefully to the following problems and were very responsive. High fives to them.
• The condo was about 75% useable. The main floor, kitchen and masterbed room were very nice. The view from the decks was striking.
• The portions of the condo cleaned and prepared by the Vacasa Staff were well done.
• The deck off the main floor has a damaged, unsafe railing. There is a sign on the sliding glass door saying not to enter the deck area because of the problem and it is expected to be fixed by July 1. On July 5, there was no indication repair work had started. There is no screen door. It is unsafe for a family with young children.
• In the second bedroom, the sleep number bed was deflated; no remote could be found to reinflate; the bed was unusable.
• Extra linen and blankets in cabinets, dressers, and closets are filthy in many cases and need to be washed or thrown away.
• Oven thermostat broken
• Multiple serving pieces are chipped and should be pitched
• Many pieces of dishware, pots, pans, and serving pieces were dirty in cupboards
• Icemaker broken
• Two shelves in the refrigerator are missing
• Right blind in master bedroom is broken at bottom
• Closets are so full of blankets, pillows, rugs and other stuff that they are nearly impossible to use
• Internet not working but was fairly easily fixed.
• The upper/main shower head in the second bath does not work

The Home Owner's Association has since completed work on the railing making it safe and secure once again; we do apologize that their delays impacted your stay. Please know that the bed has been replaced, and the home has since been thoroughly cleaned, including the dishes and linens. Maintenance has been scheduled to investigate and repair as needed the oven thermostat, refrigerator shelves, ice maker, and showerhead. The WiFi code has the words Eagle’s nest in it and it’s a perfect description of this condo! It’s high on the hill overlooking the Lake with views of the lake from the Living room and master bedroom downstairs! It was perfect for our family of 6 (2 adults, 4 teens)! The girls slept in the loft, which they loved! Our oldest son slept in the bedroom downstairs and our nephew slept on the couch in the living room (has 2 couches so it was perfect). The master bed is a full size bed, so unfortunately it was pretty small for my tall husband & I. Just a heads up on that. We play and adventure hard so it was a perfect location for a day on the slopes at China Peak! We brought our own breakfasts and lunches and had dinner at the Lakeshore Saloon down the road! Fun place! Huntington Lake is very close and fun to explore. We played games for hours both nights, with a wood-burning fire crackling in the background! This condo is perfect for the price and two of our kids said it was their favorite part of the trip! We would definitely stay here again!!🏂❄️
