Clean and nicely appointed in the kitchen for cooking.

Size of master and bunks were awesome. Need to leave more than 3 dishwasher tabs for 4 nights, 7 people and 7 meals. Towels were very nice. Only two dish towels and the 2 left need to be replaced.

Clean and very spacious. Thank you

If these owners expect me to pay $500 a night for rent, I expect them to swing by Home Depot and pay 15 bucks for a new toilet seat so I’m not sitting on a 30 year old urine stained, nasty mess. I expect them to swing by TJ Maxx and spend 200 bucks on new comforters to replace the 30 year old polyester, pilled, stained, dusty, and just plain nasty comforter sets. The huge stain in my comforter was an added bonus of grossness. The pillows were rock hard, yellow stained, at least 10 years old, with no pillow protectors. They were just gross. They sell pillows in sets at TJ Maxx for 25 bucks. There were no blankets in my room, but we found some old, scratchy blankets downstairs. New fuzzy and soft blankets run about 25 bucks at TJ Maxx. Seriously. These owners are either incredibly greedy, or just plain gross. This condo was build in the 90’s. I believe that nothing new has been brought here, excluding electronics, since that time.

I regularly stay in Motel 6 when I travel with my dogs, so I’m not a hotel snob. This place made Motel 6 look like the freaking Taj Majal with their nice mattresses and pillows manufactured witching this millennia. I have showered in Papua New Guinea with roaches crawling inches from my face on the ceiling and you know what? That wasn’t half as gross as this condo.
I own a VRBO lake house and would never expect my guests to accept conditions anything like this. There are two types of owners. Ones like me who are into hospitality and having excellent reviews and return guests, and ones like these owners who bank on having enough new people wanting to ski that they can just turn and burn guests. Even the owners note about the Wi-Fi is oddly condescending and threatening, “If you touch this, you will not have Wi-Fi for the rest of your stay!” As if Vacasa can’t send a handyman in to help. (The on-site management team is great.)
Definitely not the hospitality kind of people.
Yes, ski condos are supposed to be filled with second hand furniture and fabulous old crap from our primary homes, that’s not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about owner neglect so severe that it reads as filth and arrogance. Please, take half a nights profit and buy some decent linens, pillows, and cookware. A wine opener wouldn’t kill anyone either.
Vacasa is great, this neighborhood is great, just pick ANY other condo than this one.
Manager response:
Paula, thanks for your review. We wish we would've heard from you during your stay to rectify these cleanliness issues. We sincerely apologize for these issues that impacted your stay and your feedback has been shared accordingly. We will continue to work with both our local staff and homeowner to make improvements to this home, and we hope you'll give us a second chance to impress you!

This is a beautiful spacious condo in a lovely forested area. The unit was very well equipped with comfortable beds and furniture and complete kitchen with full equipment and a washer and drier. The wifi worked well; it is the best around being provided by the local telephone company, so it is slow. We picked this unit specifically because it had only one flight of 16 stairs. Other units in this complex had up to four flights of stairs--hard for people with limited mobility. We were limited in our activities because the surrounding national forest was closed due to forest staff limitations during the California wildfires. But we enjoyed the peace and quiet. There were a few thing that needed attention. We had no information packet when we arrived and no specific information about leaving (what to do about trash, dishes, towels and linens). Two of the bedroom screens had holes and need to be replaced. The barbecue had no gas, the igniter appeared not to work. The landlines telephone was disconnected. These are small matters, however in an otherwise pleasant stay. People should know that there is really no food service or groceries within 30 minutes of here so people must plan accordingly. The nearest real supermarket is an hour away.

We loved the location and we had a wonderful time!

The parking was great no stairs to go up and down to get into the condo. It has a very nice floor plan too.
Robin L. Jul 2021
This home has no AC, but had fans for use on warm nights, plenty of towels, and was clean. The smell of the forest fire smoke is still present, so we opened windows. Parking was plentiful, but sadly people were not considerate. Saturday night, in the parking area, we had people talk for a half an hour, at midnight. Sunday night there was a party, two buildings away, that we heard. The trees around the north side of Huntington Lake are still there. The High Sierra days were beautiful and filled with lakeshore swimming and sailing, just like any other summer in the past. Retail services are gone for this summer, only one small restaurant at the west end of the lake.

We have stayed at multiple places over the years at the Lake. This Condo needs some TLC. Only 3 of the burners work- if you are renting a condo for 9 people, don't you think the stove should work properly.. The mattresses in the 3rd bedroom are like rocks. Would not suggest any Adult stay in that bedroom. The downstairs bed was made up with no sheets, just a mattress pad that we ended up sleeping on. Lastly, the pots/pans and kitchen equipment could use attention . The plastic stainer that costs probably $5 has a huge hole in the bottom, making is useless for draining spaghetti. Oh, and the internet was spotty, then stopped working. Sign on modem says" Do not unplug or you will lose your internet privileges for the remainder of your stay ". C'Mon, whats the first thing we all do at home when the internet isn't working. We reset the modem. by UNPLUGGING IT !! . Called customer service and asked them to call back on the phone number I was calling from, as the phone number used when making the reservation wasn't working ( no reception for T-Mobile) . We never got a call back. Not a big deal since it was our last night. Just wanted to get a quick review of any urgent emails before we headed home. I did have a voice mail from customer service once we got down the hill on my cell phone that wasn't working at the Lake. Al in all we had a good time, just wont stay in this condo again . Too rundown . I'll be surprised if VACASA posts this .
Manager response:
Hi, Patrick! Thank you for staying with us. The burner has been reconnected. Unfortunately, the internet has not been entirely reliable since the Creek Fire came through. We apologize for any inconveniences you experienced and hope to see you again.

The place was big enough for my family and very comfortable. It’s close to everything and we had a great relaxing time.

We’ve stayed in various condos at Huntington Lake over the years. This was our first stay in an Eagle’s Landing condo. The kitchen is really tight, but we thought it was worth it for most of the condo being on one level so our group actually felt like we were all together! As per usual, the kitchen wares are a collection of scratched non-stick pots and pans (although it was better pans than in most of the condos)- we bring our own pans for this reason. The couch was comfortable, the table had enough chairs, the deck tight but workable for 6 of us. Everything except one burner in the stove worked, so that was great (even the wi-fi)!The beds are really firm and could be improved with a mattress topper. That is the only reason I didn’t give this condo 5 stars.
Manager response:
Thank you for staying with us, and thank you so much for taking the time to share your valuable feedback with us. Maintenance will be addressing the stove burner, and we will discuss a mattress topper with the homeowner. We hope you’ll give us another chance to host your next stay. Thank you!

The floor plan for this condo is great! I was the only person staying in it, and there was a bedroom close to the kitchen, so I had everything I needed close by. I didn't have to go to a different level to get to the bedroom or bathroom. There is a little wear and tear, such as a portion of the linoleum kitchen counter that looks like it broke off and was glued back in place. I'd like to stay there again!
Brian J. Aug 2020
Everything worked fine, although the kitchen feels like a college rental. Never tried the TV, so I'm not sure what's available there.
Sharon M. Aug 2020
Condo was great, clean & a great location. Only issue , no instructions for the TV so not able to watch. But who wants to sit inside watching TV when you can relax with a glass of you choice on the deck surrounded by the beautiful scenery. Had a great time.
Richard C. Jul 2020
Condo #68 was comfortable for our small family of four adults and 1 child. It was great to be able to park right in front of the unit and have a short walk to the front door.
Christina P. Jul 2020
This house was great! Nice and clean. Very Quite!
Chris T. Jul 2020
The place is just as described. There were plenty of room for my family. I loved it so much I decided to stay another day. Nothing beats being at the lake during the weekdays and you literally have Gtr lake yo yourself, I will definitely be back.
Wendy S. Jul 2020
Nice place, plenty of beds and bathrooms. Comfy couch and tv area. Kitchen well supplied but really tight. Only disappointment was it was not very clean.
Edward B. Jun 2020
Overall everything was great. Huntington Lake is what I would call a semi-remote location for California standards. Meaning there are not many homes there, almost no cars on the roads, and not many options for buying things. But this is what we liked. You should bring enough groceries for your entire stay.
The condo is spacious and is in a perfect location. It was very quiet. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything we needed. Loved the large sectional sofa in the living room. We used the BBQ on the deck and it worked well. T-mobile phones do not work there. One of the neighbors told me there is Verizon coverage in the area. You can use wifi-calling. Their Internet service worked well. It's not the fastest, but it sufficed.

The only issue we had, was that Southern California Edison had scheduled two full 9 hours days of power outages while we were there. So we had no power 9AM to 6PM both of the full days we were there (we stayed three nights). My wife brought her sewing machine and I had planned to do some work on my laptop. One of the neighbors told me that SCE warned the residents and property owners well in advance of the outage. I booked the condo about five days before our stay. We should have been warned about the power outage because we probably would have booked different days. We had issues keeping our food in the fridge and freezer from spoiling and had trouble finding ice because the market at the bottom of the hill was closed Tues-Thurs. We were able to find ice in Big Creek. We had no power for 18 hours of our stay and no phone coverage. I know we are in the mountains and there are plenty of day activities to do (which we did), but it did put a damper in what we were planning to do there.

I would definitely stay here again. Like I said this is an excellent place. But if its in the summer, check with SCE if they are planning on doing line work with planned outages. This is especially critical if you have any type of medical equipment requiring power. I think there is a responsibility of the owners to advise renters of this.

The place was clean, easy to access, and roomy. The driveway was snowed in and we were expected to shovel out the hard snow. We skipped this and parked down the road where there was ample parking. Though, this was not communicated in the details I was a little disappointed. Hopefully, this can be modified on the details when reserving the condo. Called the Vacasa help line and they were friendly and inviting.
Manager response:
We are glad you enjoyed your stay, Isaac! This home has one parallel parking stall under contract to be cleared; we have communicated your experience to the HOA so this can be addressed for future guests. We hope to see you again and appreciate you staying with us.
Michael Q. Jan 2020
The positive and negative reviews were all accurate. Good spot. Good location. Made great memories.
Henry H. Dec 2019
Unit was clean and enjoyed spacious but cozy environment. But the unit lacked it's own parking, we had to park about 250 feet up on the hill. Due to heavy snow, it was not easy. And it was little too far from the lake to walk.
Steven R. Jun 2019
From the moment we walked into the condo, we all agreed that we would like to rent in this following year! Everything was clean, utensils, pots and pans were well stocked. The view was beautiful and we spent a lot of our "home time" sitting in the sun and cool air of the balcony!
A perfect place to spend your down time!

We all enjoyed our stay!

The layout of the condo is so comfortable and views of the snowy mountains breathtaking. Easy drive to the ski resort. We had the best time in condo #68

Some friends and I were able to stay here for the New Year's weekend. The home was incredibly spacious and had all necessary appliances for us to have a very comfortable stay. It is located right next to Huntington Lake and is just a few minute drive from China Peak Resort.
John Z. Jun 2018
Great location, very clean, and everything you need in a mountain retreat. Only negative was mattress in master bedroom was too firm. I would renot it again.
Manager response:
We are sorry to see the mattress did not suit this guest's preference. The owner is not interested in replacing it at this time as it is only two years old. Thank you!
Sue A. Jan 2018
These might seem strange, however the TV upstairs seemed to be in a place that was unusual. Was up to high and made watching TV uncomfortable on your neck. Beds where to hard for us, but I'm sure others may like that. Please make sure to bring your own storage containers for left overs as there are none. Plenty of pots, pans , dishes and utensils. We had 6 adults and that worked out great. Beautiful view off the deck of China Peak and the mountains.

We really enjoyed our time in the area for Memorial Weekend. The condo was roomy and well stocked with all the supplies we needed for the weekend including kitchen appliances, utensils, extra blankets and pillows as well as a BBQ, smart TV, sound system and games. The property was a little outdated and needs some very minor maintenance work but is overall a great place to stay and reasonably priced.
