Come to South Fork and stay in this comfy two-bedroom lodge cabin and revel in the convenience and easy access to everything you need. Not only will you be near endless year-round outdoor activities, you'll have dining and shopping at your fingertips. The family dog is also welcome to join you here for an additional nightly fee.
You'll be in a building comprised of other lodge cabins, right in town and across the highway from the South Fork Rio Grande River. Walk to the nearby coffee shop in the morning, the liquor store in the evening, the grocery store when it's time to buy provisions, or restaurants when you'd rather dine out. Take a scenic 17-mile drive to Wolf Creek Ski Area in the winter. Other fun winter activities include horse-drawn sleigh rides, ice climbing, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. In the summer, get out and do some golfing, biking, hiking, or horseback riding, and be sure to visit the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve. Whatever time of year you visit, you can soak in the shared hot tubs and relax at the end of the day.
This cabin has a basic kitchen, which includes a full-size range, fridge, coffeemaker, microwave, cookware, and utensils, as well as a small eating area. There's a full bath with a tub and shower, and amenities include free WiFi and a flatscreen TV.
When you're looking for a quiet, affordable getaway, this cabin is the answer. Reserve it today and get ready for your relaxing South Fork vacation! A damage waiver, covering up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the property or its contents, is included in the cost of your reservation.
Parking Notes: Please park to the left of the door and don't block the main drive. There is additional parking around the area (between Lodge buildings 1-5 and the stone line near the gazebo with the hot tub, in front of the shop, alongside the office, along the backside of Elk Cabin toward the dumpster, behind the shed north of Moose Lodge, and east of Fox Cabin). There’s also a large, vacant restaurant parking lot; use it only south of the office and Lodge buildings 1-5.
WINTER HAZARDS: Snow and ice can accumulate throughout the property. Along the north side of Lodge buildings 1-5 is one of these areas. Ice and snow build up all winter long until late March or early April. The roofs of the Lodge buildings are metal; snow and ice tend to give way in large sheets all at once, so please be aware of the edge of the roof and where your vehicle is parked.
