We all enjoyed our stay at Cabin C, the kitchen had what was needed to prepare a meal, plenty of dishes, and enough warm blankets to keep us snug.

I can not say enough good things about this cabin! It is absolutely beautiful! If you’ve got a group of kids you will not regret this place, the bunk room is perfect! Sleeps 6 kids and has SO much floor space for playing and the little clubhouse will be enjoyed, I promise you! Every room with the King beds and attached bath is a huge plus! I loved the location, private drive and just a quick beautiful serene walk to the little coffee shop. A good central location to so many activities, Alamosa (Gator Park), Creede (mining museum/bachelor’s loop), Wolf Creek/Pagosa Springs, just great! I also loooved that we were allowed to park in the garage, especially during the winter! The hot tub was very much enjoyed and was even serviced while there and we appreciated that. We had no problems and everything was in good working order. We can’t thank Vrbo/Vacasa/owners enough for sharing this wonderful cabin, we absolutely will be back again in the future!

Great location right in the middle of town. Everything was clean and fresh. Bedding was comfortable, more than enough towels. Fridge was spotless inside. Perfect place on a budget for two.

Where is South Fork, CO?

Nestled on the eastern edge of the Rio Grande National Forest, South Fork is a peaceful community at the juncture of the South Fork and Rio Grande rivers. 43 miles north of the geothermal waters at Pagosa Springs, and just over 100 miles from historic Durango, our South Fork vacation rentals offer a convenient escape into the Colorado wilderness.

Things to do in South Fork, CO

Explore beautiful South Fork on foot and hit the trails, which offer easy and challenging hikes ranging from one-half to five miles in length. Wind your way through the forest into the wilderness or set out on horseback to take in the stunning mountain scenery.

Launch a raft on the Rio Grande and take a gentle float on the river's headwaters, or seek out a more challenging water adventure and head for the Class II and Class III rapids on the river. Anglers might do some fishing and bring home rainbow trout to cook up for dinner in your rental's kitchen.

If you decide to take a day trip, head 43 miles southeast to rustic, yet bustling Pagosa Springs for dining, shopping, and art galleries, then finish your day with a luscious soak in the geothermal hot springs.

Children and kids at heart will have a blast sledding at Rickel Park while the local rink offers ice skating and pick-up ice hockey games with the locals. Wolf Creek Ski Area is 19 miles away for those who want to indulge in some sublime downhill or boarding in powdery perfection.
