Our family of five (three teenagers - 19, 17, 13) absolutely loved this cottage. We felt at home right away (beautiful place) and the location can't be any better. It is a short, pretty walk to the beach and a very short, few minute drive to everything else. Fresh Fields is super close (quaint stores, grocery, restaurants) where we were able to get a basketball, soccer ball and football there, then a minute drive to Night Heron Park that has a really nice outdoor basketball court, four-square court, soccer field, pool, nature center, and gym (we used/did all of that except the pool and had a blast). We took a kayak tour that was fun (just down the road), went nearshore fishing with Captain Brian at the Marina (again, right down the road) where we caught fish we cooked that night, and went to the beach each day. We stopped by Bi-Lo on the way and got groceries, cooked each night at the cottage, and restocked at Harris Teeter a few miles away at Fresh Fields. The kitchen was well stocked with tableware and cooking utensils, so we had everything we needed to prepare a wide variety of foods for a family of five. The washer/dryer was very convenient, and since a couple of us worked out daily at the Night Heron gym and/or ran on the beach, it was great to have right there. The cottage neighborhood area has an awesome, large patio deck with chairs where we watched the sunset each night across the channels and docks - beautiful, and fun to meet and talk to people there. Just an amazing experience and we will be definitely booking this cottage again!
Great location to the pool and easy access to the beach. Master bath really should have a curtain or blind on it for privacy but other than that......fantastic!!!
We couldn't have felt safer on our first stay in this gated community in unit 36 and it was so lovely we decided to return after a couple of days in Savannah. After our stay in unit 36 we found that unit 12 was not quite up to par. The kitchen dishes and flatware fell a little short as we had to either wash dishes or run the dishwasher after two meals. Unit 36 had an amazingly stocked kitchen with service for 12 or more with lovely dinnerware. The ad for unit 12 stated three frying pans but there was only one to be found. It was stainless steel, the bottom was black and our fried eggs turned into scrambled eggs. The unit overall could use some TLC. The cabinets in the kitchen and bath seemed substandard and worn. The walls had marks on them and could use a good cleaning or fresh coat of paint. It appeared the cleaning crew swiped in the kitchen and bath areas as the counter was greasy in the kitchen prompting us to clean before we used it. The appliances, bathroom mirror & sink were smeared as though wiped but not cleaned. Unit 12 did provide a very nice stackable washer & dryer which was appreciated. There was poison sumac growing onto the porch. The shared pool area was lovely with both outdoor & screened areas and walkway leading to the dock where we watched a dolphin at low tide. There is a private beach but it is currently closed for renovation.
We loved our stay at 12 in the cove for a long weekend! Very comfortable and very clean, also enjoyable was the proximity to the pool and community dock for fishing and crabbing. We will recommend to friends and family.
The island of Kiawah itself was amazing. As bike shop owners, we really looked forward to some carefree cycling with our kiddos, aged 3, 7, and 10. You can't ask for better paths and beach riding. The Inlet Cove community was great for our older two to cruise around with other kids staying in the surrounding homes. We also loved taking day trips into Charleston. Highly recommend Patriot's Point and touring the ships and the Vietnam Experience there, as well as Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. The home was the perfect size and always felt happy to come back to. While the beach was a bit farther away than anticipated, it was perfect. Clean bathrooms, nice little snack shack. The community pool was great. Beautiful setting.
Beachwalker was so helpful when we were trying to find a last minute vacation place! This home is so great! The updates are so nice. Beautifully decorated. Very nice unit. The perfect fit for us with the three bedrooms. It's just a very short walk to the pool, which we loved for our kids! Inlet Cove is so peaceful. The pool is very nice too. The kids also LOVED fishing on the dock. Would definitely stay here again!
The house is fantastic! The house was recently renovated and was absolutely beautiful! We loved the converted screened in porch, the beautiful kitchen and the bathrooms. The owners thought of everything and the kitchen was well stocked and notes to explain everything from the washer and dryer to the tv controls. We would definitely stay there again!
