Large house with good layout for privacy, including multiple seating areas which really helped our group feel comfortable. Easy walk or bike ride to the beach even with multiple children under 8 years old. Would stay again.

Lots of very positive things about this very beautiful home. Bedrooms were all very roomy (especially the master) - and the bathrooms all nice. They offer bars of soap, hotel sized shampoo, conditioner in case you need some to tide you over. Most sinks had liquid hand soap as well, which during COVID-19 we came equipped in case none provided. The beds were all comfortable and they offer nice bedding and pillows - and nice towels in each bathroom.
We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch and the chairs/sofas were comfortable for morning coffee or evening chatting. With the Kiawah weather they look a little worn but hard to keep all fresh year round in the Carolina heat, humidity. There was a large stock of games for evening fun. The kitchen is the center of the house and reasonably stocked. It was really nice to have a full set of spices available for use. Other renters had left behind some olive oil, salt, pepper, coffee filters, etc. so that was a plus as well. We rented towards the end of the summer, so the cabinets were a little disorganized - and were missing sauce pans (other than a really tiny one) and a large fry pan (or 2) to accommodate the large number of people that this house can hold. Also - no steamer - so if you plan to get fresh-off-the-boat shrimp to steam (and you should), you’ll need to improvise with collander and larger stock pot.
The home does back up to the #4 tee of Turtle Point golf course - so early morning mowing and blowing (say 7:30-8am’ish every day) did disturb the peace on the porch and those that like to “sleep in” on vacation.
The walk to the beach was only 6 minutes - nice walk over a pond to look for the alligators, shaded through the trees. Even faster bike ride if you prefer. Plenty of bike racks at the entrance to the boardwalk to the beach.
We did have issues with the back porch door locks throughout our stay - likely an issue that needs repair/replacement. But ... Vacasa was very responsive to the few issues we had - a pleasure to deal with. We never did get the garage door code to work, which would have made storing bikes and in/out easier, but that wasn’t a huge deal.
Overall - a “highly recommend” rating from us. This is our 7th or 8th time to Kiawah - and definitely a nice house.

We loved our stay in this beautiful home!! Great location to the beach and perfect size for a large family to gather and make memories. If you love golf, tennis and the beach this is the place to enjoy all your favorite activities. We rented bikes and biked the beach daily. Awesome family reunion location.

We couldn’t have picked a better house for our large family of 10. The house was beautiful, and very roomy with a wonderful view of the golf course. The distance to the beach was an easy walk with 3 small children. It was a great location! We would definitely stay here again, and look forward to our return trip to Kiawah.

The home was nestled in a beautiful neighborhood, with a close walking path to the beach. Plenty of space for our party of nine.

This beautiful home is perfect for family gatherings. The screened-in porch and decks are wonderful outdoor spaces in a quiet setting. It is a short walk or bike ride to the beach. We would most definitely stay here again.

Kiawah Island is beautiful and exclusive.

We love this house for so many reasons...the space, the location, the design...all of that AND being on Kiawah...what's not too love???

Close to the beach. Lots of room and porches along with 5 bedrooms. Great for three families with 6 adults and 5 children.

The house is about 1 1/2 blocs from the ocean. It is great for large gatherings and families who like to cook and dine together. But the great thing is, the house allows for privacy too. We had 13 in the house with 4 different households and 6 children room age 20 to 2. They all loved it. I would definitely rent it again.

House is spacious and so comfortable and right on hole #5 on Turtle Point - great deck awesome!

We will definitely rent this home again. Plenty of room to spread out allowing us to all have our own private baths and adult size beds! Great view of the golf course and plenty of tv’s to match March Madness and the golf tournament. So glad we have found Vacada and this perfect home.

We loved this house: wonderful location near the beach and bike path, with a huge screened porch, 2 different huge living areas, comfortable bedrooms for 8-12 people, cozy fireplaces, ample kitchen amenities (though the kitchen needs a deep clean -- drawers and cupboards were overcrowded, poorly organized and a little dingy). We had access to an entire garage, where we stored our rental bikes. Start to finish, the booking process was a cinch. Will definitely use Vacasa again!
Thank you for staying with us and for your kind words! You have a good eye; we do have a deep clean scheduled for this unit. Hope to host you again soon!

The home itself is quite beautiful. A little light on kitchen tools, but overall beautiful and a terrific location. The management company is definitely disappointing. First, when we arrived we continued to get two different stories from the local office vs the Corporate Vacasa office and whether the house was ready. They clearly don't have their acts together. Second, once we got into the house, it was very clean, but there was no soap in the bathrooms and after we made two calls, still never received any. Lastly, after we left, we reached out several times regarding a teddy bear our 9 year old son left behind (that he has had since he was 10 months old) and were told the management company wouldn't reach out to the current renters to ask them to find the bear. It's shocking how terribly they have dealt with us over this simple issue and extremely disappointing they weren't willing to help us find our son's bear. While it is seemingly a little thing, he has slept with this bear for years and is distraught without it. We explained all of this to the management company only to be sent an email telling us they refused to "disturb" the current renters by simply asking about a bear. Shocking and we definitely will not rent from this company ever again. We have been renting houses on Kiawah for over a dozen years, but this was the first time through this company. We won't make that mistake again.
We apologize for the miscommunication between the local team and our guest services agents. We will continue to work on this. We have had multiple people in the home to look for the bear, and we are so sorry we have been unable to find it.

We have been coming ( not every year) but on and off again since 1979. We have rented villas and for the last 13 years since out family has grown we have rented homes in Vanderhorst. This time we rented two homes and this one was the best. The home besides being beautiful has the perfect separation for various family groups. It has easy access to the beach and to me the screened porch was really lovely especially in the early morning before everyone is up. The only slight problem was we could not get one garage door to go down all the way. All agreed that when we return next we would rent this home again.

Excellent experience. Office cooperative in getting key to Crave for catering.

This house was amazing. It was beautiful inside and had lots of room. We loved all the porches and the location was great. You are very close to the path to access the beach. It was also fun to sit on the screen porch and watch the golfers tee off. Wish we could have stayed longer!

This house was perfect for our girls weekend! The house is absolutely comfortable for 12 adults, though it's listed to accommodate 15 people (i.e. 3 people on sofa beds/chairs). They only provided 12 sets of bring more, if needed. Very clean, well-appointed, spacious, and very convenient to the beach path. We will be back!

Beautiful large home. Very comfortable with room to spread out with our large group. We will most definitely rent again! House location was perfect for everything . . . beach, golf, biking.

This is the 3rd time our party has stayed at 215 Glen Abbey and each time found it to be wonderful. The house and all of its amenities are top notch and the service Beachwalker provides is second to none. We look forward to returning in the future.

We had a great time, the house was excellent, hope to get to come back and do it all over again next year

House was ideal for our family and guests
Gwyneth P.Jul 2016
We rented the Glen Abbey house for a large family vacation. This was our second stay here. Lots of room so everyone can have their space but ample lounging areas to accommodate the group as well. An easy morning walk to the beach. Nicely furnished and decorated. 2 washer dryer units was a bonus with all the beach laundry. Everything functions properly in the house and is in good condition. Kitchen is fairly well stocked. Minor problem was rapidly handled by management company when we called about it. Our only major problem was with the bike rental company. Surfscooter provided 8 bikes and we had multiple problems. Flat and leaking tires, pedals breaking off. This was very frustrating when you have babies and toddlers to manage with equipment failures.

We had a wonderful experience at 215 Glen Abbey this year. The property was ready early and clean and well prepared. The property is well stocked with dishes and pots/pans and is a great house for an extended family stay!

For the second time, we four couples have enjoyed this wonderful house to the point we all agree that it feels like home. Every room is spacious and well appointed providing plenty of room for our entire group to gather. We, very much, look forward to our next stay at this lovely home. I'd like to add that the folks at Beachwalker could not have been more helpful and accommodating.

We were in Kiawah for my son's wedding, so wanted a large house for family to stay in. This property is well designed for guests of different ages, with limited steps and privacy if needed. Outside screened porches are nice. Beautifully decorated and well maintained. Very quiet area.

Although we arrived shortly before Hurricane Juaquin for our parents 60th Wedding Anniversary and Renewal of their Vows, we were pleasantly surprised! Our house was beautiful and although we were flooded and stranded on the island, we couldn't have asked for a better place to be stranded. We especially want to thank the owners for not charging us for the 2 extra nights we were forced to stay because there was no way to get off the island.

Beautiful, spacious home. Great amenities. Excellent location.

We have rented this home twice now and love it! It's big enough for our extended family to each have their own space!

We stayed in this beautiful home for a week in June. It was a family vacation, to be with family from across the country. In total, there were two houses, and 17 people, including six children. The house was in a great location.
Angie K.Jun 2015
This home was perfect for our family of 14. Everyone had their own space and there was plenty of room to congregate as a family, too. It's location was convenient to the beach, golf course & bike paths. It was clean & updated, & stocked with every ammenity we needed. The home played a big part in the success & enjoyment of our family vacation. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Beachwalker Rentals was always very pleasant & helpful, too.
