Loved our time here. The beds were comfortable and the woodsy feeling was all around. Huge bathroom downstairs. Ceilings are low but we’re all short so it was not an issue. Had an amazing time.
Zachery H. Feb 2020
This is a great place to rest and relax. Lots of cozy places to read, play games, or watch the river. Loved the attention to detail with decorations and the kitchen is well equipped for a cabin this size. We will be back!
Victoria R. Dec 2019
The cabin felt remote but was easy to get to. It was the perfect cozy mountain getaway for us during the Christmas holiday. The creek behind the cabin was a relaxing and a beautiful sight even in the winter. The kitchen was stocked well with pots, pans, plates, utensils, and cooking tools. Bedrooms were sizable and the beds were comfortable. The only negatives were that the cabin was a bit dusty and the electricity did go off a few times but was easily restored by resetting the circuit breaker. Overall staying in this cabin was a great experience, and we would definitely stay again.
Manager response:
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! The circuits do occasionally trip when our guests utilize the space heaters and have more than one plugged on a circuit breaker. Thank you!
Cassandra E. Oct 2019
Had a great time at this cozy cabin! It’s in a great spot to explore all the beauty Mt Hood has to offer. My boys 5 and 3 loved the nice little creek out back and I enjoyed the warm fire indoors!
Paul G. Jul 2019
I lived in this area for over 10 years, and it is very special. The house is an all wood vintage A-frame that sits right on clear creek. The proximity to the creek is magical, and I loved listening to the water as I went to sleep. The cabin and the land captures the spirit of Mt. Hood.
Mickey C. Apr 2019
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was very quiet and secluded.
kim s. Feb 2019
Perfect spot for a girl's weekend. The house was clean, comfortable and decorated with fun antiques. We enjoyed the 2 sitting areas, spacious kitchen/dining room, very large bathroom on the main and beautiful view of the creek in a snow setting. In addition, the location was close to Mt. Hood and all it has to offer.
Julie B. Dec 2018
We loved spending Christmas at this cozy and charming home. We appreciated the many reading nooks and the wood stove!
Timothy M. Sep 2018
We very much enjoyed the house. The location was convenient to hiking and restaurants. Loved the creek behind the house. Sitting the deck listening to the creek was very relaxing. Also, Vacasa was very helpful and I appreciated the e-main on checkin day asking if everything was fine. Ome item - need a small frying
pan.
Nick P. Aug 2018
We loved our stay. The cabin is very cozy in a beautiful location next to a creek.
Shane A. Aug 2018
Our stay was wonderful! There is no AC and during our late July stay it was totally not needed. Open your windows at night and listen to the creek, lovely.
Mara W. Jul 2018
The creek is right outside, the fire pit is ready for s’mores, the jacuzzi tub inside let’s you look out into pristine woods. There’s two bbqs - charcoal and propane and a beautiful deck. It’s lovely.
Britt P. Jul 2018
This was a darling cabin with plenty of room for us and our three kids. Just enough off the beaten path to feel isolated but still only a couple miles from stores and gas if needed. There is a pathway to a great fire pit where we roasted smores and another path to the creek which is perfect for younger ages. It's about three feet deep at the deepest with lots of shallow areas to watch minnows, throw rocks, catch crawdads etc.. The home was clean and cozy but in need of an update with some of the furniture and the creaky, slightly lumpy beds. The decor is challenging for anyone with curious littles, we were exhausted the first day, moving all the waist high knick knacks and very sharp antiques etc that our toddler and son kept handling. Honestly, you could remove 90 percent of the decorative items (especially the dusty, old fake flowers and sharp antiques) and the place would be much roomier and more pleasant aesthetically.

The deck was locked with no key and the phone lines were down when we arrived so we had no wifi or way to call (no cell service) in case of an emergency. For us with a couple severe allergies, this was frustrating. But after driving into town to contact Vacasa, one of their maintenance guys came a few hours later and by morning, everything was fixed. Once able to get to the deck, we loved eating out there, listening to the creek and enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
Elizabeth H. Jun 2018
This is a quiet and lovely place. Well stocked with kitchen utensils. Gas and Weber grills. The only negative is if you are very tall you may hit your head on the stair case going up or down the stairs. It is a tight space and my husband who is over 6 feet hit his head a couple of times. Otherwise it was excellent and we will be back.
Kaitlin W. Apr 2018
We had so much fun and relaxation at this cabin. Decorated perfect and it was actually much bigger than we realized. (There was only 2 of us) but now we know for future reference, we would definitely come back and bring our kid next time. The fire pit down by the creek is so peaceful and a perfect touch. The A frame window in the sitting area upstairs is to die for. I will definitely be back here mid summer!
Adriana B. Feb 2018
Thank you for the most cozy cabin in the beautiful woods. We loved watching the water rush past. Everything was very comfortable.
Elizabeth J B. Jan 2018
Cozy cabin full of fun decor and comfortable furnishings. I love being so close to the creek, the large windows and waking up to the sight of the towering trees. A lovely spot for any season.
Meena N. Dec 2017
This property is beautiful and clean. There is a stream running behind the cabin which makes it an appealing place to stay in all seasons. The cabin is designed with lots of charm and character, stocked with all the necessary utensils for light cooking and has good heating in all areas. It is comfortable.
Kimberly E. Dec 2017
It's wet this time of year but the snow is close. The cabin is cozy & warm and nicely decorated. The creek out back is stunning.
Jenna H. Nov 2017
We arrived after dark so we were not able to see the creek when we pulled in. We were shocked in the morning when we saw the creek out of the upstairs windows. It was beautiful! And the cabin was adorable! Very clean and well stocked with the necessities. The jacuzzi tub was amazing! Loved how private and safe the property felt as well. Definitely wanting to stay here again.
Kyle H. Oct 2017
My friend and I stayed at this lovely cabin for my 30th birthday, and we could not have been more impressed! The photos really don't do justice to how wonderful this home really is. It has all the comforts and necessities one could ask for, and is located in an enviable spot in the woods next to a gurgling river. Nor is it so remote that one can't easily stock up on supplies, or have dinner at one of several gourmet dining locales, and it's a short drive up the mountain for sightseeing and winter activities, although if one were to spend one's entire stay at the cabin without leaving, one could certainly not be accused of having misspent one's time, as the house itself is an experience unto itself.

A five star experience, this cozy cabin comes highly recommended for everyone looking to escape into the woods for a while. I am very happy with my stay and would gladly rent the place again.
James M. Sep 2017
The house and surroundings are wonderful. Had a great time. We live on the Oregon coast and we will return.
Kate B. Sep 2017
We really enjoyed our stay here with 3 kids under 8 years old. Plenty to do, having the river at our doorstep was great fun. everything worked well. Steep staircase so might bring a gate if have a wobbly walker. Full of character! Had a lovely stay!
Gregory W. Aug 2017
Nicely decorated and nicely furnished. The kitchen was well stocked. There's a good quality washer/dryer. Quiet, pretty location.
The steps to the second floor are a bit tricky; definitely not to code. This will be a problem if you have difficulty with steps.
Tiffany B. Jul 2017
The cabin was thoughtfully appointed with everything you could need or want for an "escape from it all." It was quiet, clean, has lots of antiques and interesting objects, and plenty of room to relax. The creek out back and the fire pit near the bank were bonuses. We came prepared to dine out since we were just there for two days, but we ended up going to Thriftway and cooking at the cabin so we wouldn't have to leave! Lovely, lovely place.
Daniel C. Jun 2017
loved it
William S. May 2017
Beautiful property on the creek. Had a wonderful first time to visit to Oregon vacation.
Stefani B. Mar 2017
My family and I came up for the weekend and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The cabin is so cozy and homey! All of us wished we could have stayed longer, but we will definitely be back!!
Michael F. Feb 2017
My fiancee and I had a wonderful time snowboarding and just relaxing at the house. It's a wonderful little place.
Sally B. Jan 2017
This home and property are top notch ~ extremely warm, inviting both inside and out. Loved the antiques, and extra touches everywhere. Comfort and fun! We'll be back...
Becky H. Jan 2017
My family is on the go all the time, and to be able to sneak away to this comfy, cozy, beautiful cabin and relax for a few days - we were so thankful and excited to be there! We will certainly be back again and may even start it as a yearly tradition!
Ryan H. Sep 2016
Beautiful location and perfect cabin for small groups!
Shelley A. Aug 2016
Loved it.
Diane G. Aug 2016
We were so glad we chose this location for our getaway. The proximity to Mt. Hood and many hiking trails just a short drive away were just what we were looking for. The house with the deck and fire pit along the creek was perfect!
Joan S. Aug 2016
The Clear Creek Cabin is really a house that is right on the river water, within easy access to excellent hiking. It is clean and comfortable, ideal for the two of us and certainly big enough for others. If doing your own cooking, we recommend shopping in Sandy. We most definitely would consider returning.
Howard H. Jul 2016
Very nice location near all attractions and trails
Tori O. Jul 2016
Adorable cozy cabin in a beautiful and quiet setting. Very well stocked and the main areas were all pretty clean. My kids loved the giant jetted tub! The only downside is that the cabin is full of antiques and plastic flower arrangements and greenery that seem to not be dusted frequently. The blinds seem to have been ignored as well. The yard was also pretty overgrown making it challenging to get to the fire pit and creek in back. I think with a little more maintenance, this place could be a dream. We enjoyed our stay after opening up the windows and airing it out for a while.
Manager response:
Housekeeping will work on more thorough dusting, and the landscaping will be taken care of as soon as possible.
Annie L. Jun 2016
It's super cute and cozy. The owners went out of their way to decorate this place. You don't feel like your in a rental. It feels like a cozy home. It ended up raining our whole trip but we didn't care, it was a perfect getaway.
Krystal A. Jun 2016
This cabin was so beautiful. It really felt like a home and not just a vacation rental. The location next to the river is unbeatable. The locals were very kind and full of suggestions on things to do. I would definitely come back here again.
David R. Mar 2016
Came here with our wife and two young children (3 and 6). The kids loved the proximity to water and the woods, and also loved the fact that this little A-Frame is filled with nooks and crannies and Western decorations of yester-year. No WiFi was a surprise, but a pleasant means of unplugging and just being a family. Lots of board games, lincoln logs and legos kept the kids busy between walks to the river. And we read the first 90 pages of Jungle Book for bedtime stories!
Kari S. Feb 2016
Great place, we loved the access to the river and being close to the snow. It was a bit dark inside the house, but there were plenty of light switches to help with that! The kitchen was really well stocked and we appreciated the very nice house decorations. It was an excellent place to stay with our young kids.
Scott K. Jan 2016
We love this cabin. This is our second year visiting, and we plan to continue the tradition!
Connie R. Nov 2015
We loved the wood stove fireplace, making Thanksgiving dinner in the cozy kitchen and the sound and view of the creek in the mornings. Very inviting and felt like home away from home. The cabin was very well stocked and had very interesting collection of antique décor. We would love to go back again and highly recommend this rental.
Angela D. Nov 2015
When I initially was looking for a weekend away with my family I was determined to find a place that felt like a special treat away from home. This was just that! The special touches like when we arrived, the cottage was warm and inviting. Very clean! We were shocked at how well stocked It was. We brought way to many things that we never needed or used. The decor, the set up, the jacuzzi bath, the wood stove and so much more added to our great experience.

I would love to come back in the summer months and take advantage of the outdoor fire pit along with the creak.

Great memories were made!
Janet B. Oct 2015
Stay in this comfortable and personable cabin for a great home base and explore the many nearby hiking trails. The extra sitting area upstairs was a cozy place to get away for quiet reading time.
Katie C. Sep 2015
Thank you, we had a great stay :)
Dan G. Sep 2015
Cabin was spotless clean, kitchen well appointed. Only flaw is navigating the tight spiral staircase up to the bedrooms. It is a hassle dragging suitcases up.
The river and trees behind the cabin are beautiful !! Zigzag Inn pizza is terrific. El Burro Loco food is great and being from Texas , we know good Mexican food.
Heather B. Sep 2015
I almost hate writing this, because u do not want to have trouble renting it in the future, but this cabin was so great. I have never been so relaxed with two children even one of them special needs! Love that the rooms were all upstairs so I did not worry about the kids and was able to sleep soundly with the sound of the creek as well! My family and I have never been so pleased with a place. It met all our needs and we WILL rent this cabin in the future for sure. Tell the owners for us that they are great hosts. :)
Manager response:
Thank you for sharing your review! We appreciate you risking so much to leave good feedback on this wonderful home. We hope to hear from you as soon as you are ready for your next vacations!
Paul M. Aug 2015
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cabin, it was roomy, clean, and delightfully decorated with many antiques and knicknacks. We discovered new things to look at every day. The jetted tub was nice, and the downstairs shower was large; however the upstairs shower is very tiny and only a short, slim person would be able to fit in it. There is a nice sitting area upstairs as well as downstairs, so people can spread out. Having a washer and dryer in the cabin was a huge bonus for us. The creek out back was lovey to see and listen to. The spiral stairs were a challenge, especially to avoid bumping your head - but we got used to ducking. The cabin had everything we needed, with the exception of a hair dryer. We would definitely recommend staying here, and would like to return some day.
Amanda H. Jul 2015
We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was perfect for 2 couples and a toddler. The knick knacks bordered on a bit too much clutter, but that's a matter of personal taste. The kitchen was nice for cooking and had plenty of space. We will definitely come back in other seasons.
Heather K. Jun 2015
The house was as described. The location was convenient to Welches for groceries and dining options and the national forest for hiking. It was clean and comfortable. I inferred there wouldn't be wifi available when I booked this cabin and planned to use the hotspot on my cell phone to access internet for our devices but there was no cell service in the house. If you want to totally disconnect this property is a great option.
Scott K. Feb 2015
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cabin. We hope to come back and visit again!
Manager response:
Thank you for this great review, we can't wait for you to visit us again.
Jon A. Dec 2014
Fantastic rural location ultra close to everything you need. The cabin was well appointed with linens and towels and great decor! We cooked many of our meals at home, and enjoyed the fire riverside. There was no wifi which was a nice chance to unplug, but a nice TV and DVD player. Toys for our little boy and plenty of space for us. Would definitely visit again!
Preston K. Sep 2014
We enjoyed everything about our stay. Quiet, comfortable, close to Mt Hood and Columbia Gorge. Absolutely no problems.
Naif A. Aug 2014

I loved everything about my stay, the cabain was just amazing, we didn't want to leave
There's nothing I didn't like, Highly recommend to my friends!
Dionne L. Aug 2014
We had an excellent time at your cabin. In fact, none of us wanted to leave. The location couldn't have been more perfect as it was centrally located to just about everything we wanted to do during our vacation. The house is beautiful, don't change a thing. We will be back!!!!!
Scott B. Aug 2014
We loved this house! The location is private, with lush vegetation around this beautiful house. The view of the creek from the house is breath-taking. The fire pit sits down a short path alongside the creek and is perfect. The kitchen is spacious and a joy to cook in. Everything I needed to cook our meals was there. The house is decorated with lovely antiques. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone who wants a clean, beautiful, charming, rental in a perfect location for visiting Mt. Hood.
Amber A. Mar 2014
the cabin is laid out for a large group. everyone has thier own space. no one is on top of anyone. the cabin has all the creature comforts of home with a firepit river side, beautiful!
Manager response:
Thanks for your great feedback. We're so happy you enjoyed your stay!
J M. Feb 2014
My girlfriend and I stayed at the Clear Creek Cabin for the long President's Day weekend. This was our home base for skiing at Mt. Hood Meadows - about a half hour drive east of the cabin.

The cabin was great - very homey feel but with modern amenities such as new dishwasher, washer and dryer, plasma TV, keyless locks, jacuzzi tub, etc. The cabin didn't seem too huge for two of us, yet I could also see 6-8 people staying there comfortably. Plenty of dishes, cookware, linens, and everything else we needed during our stay. Very clean, warm, and easy to manage. We will definitely look into staying there again should we return to Mt. Hood. Highly recommended.
Traci P. Jan 2014
The property was great. Very sweet and cozy! Great and easy location,. Can't wait to return
!
Susan N. Jul 2013
This was our first visit to Mt. Hood and we all loved the Clear Creek cabin. The cabin is small and quaint with a great layout for a small family - small living space upstairs, living room downstairs and a large deck. We loved the closeness to the creek - so quiet and peaceful. Close to grocery and restaurants as well as local hikes.
Patricia H. Dec 2012
The cabin was amazing -- everything I had hoped for and a wonderful place to celebrate my birthday with friends. Absolutely beautiful, peaceful setting by the creek, so thoughtfully laid out and beautifully decorated with oodles of rustic charm. Obviously well-maintained and cared for and stocked with plenty of everything that you need for your comfort. Loved sitting in the comfy, cozy living room in front of the fire in the woodstove, the beautiful upstairs living area with view of the creek, the proximity to hiking trails, the fabulous jacuzzi tub to soak those sore muscles in after hiking, the very comfortable bed in the master bedroom, and the kitchen with ample space to cook in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I, for one, hope to be back to enjoy it in other seasons as well.
Lee Ann O. Nov 2012
The house was amazing, it has such a great feel and was stocked with everything you could possibly need and that bathtub was awesome. I look forward to going back again. Thank you!
Lee Ann O. Nov 2012
It was very relaxing, the cabin had a great aura about it and you just felt like you were home!! Very positive energy, it is a very beautiful home!!
Will for sure want to come and stay again. Already thinking about it:-)
Lee Ann O. Nov 2012
Wished that they had cleaned the fire pit out and put the cover on it so it wasnt full of water and wood and ashes from the previous renters other then that really liked it.
Manager response:
Thank you for the feedback; we'll be sure to pay extra attention to the fire pit from now on. We're so sorry it was wet and messy.
Barbara J. Dec 2011
It would have been helpful to have a binder with the rules and check-out info so that we didn't have to call. We thought you could get cell coverage which you can't. Would be helpful to know that. You are close to the neighbor on one side who have dogs so if you have small children playing outside I could see them barking a lot. Other then that the place was very nice and cozy for our holiday weekend!
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, we will update the binder with clearer instruction on the check out procedure. We look forward to having you return!
