Experience the splendor of the Maine Highlands at this Moosehead Lake retreat, a hand-crafted lakefront cabin with a private swimming dock, two kayaks to take out on the water, and an outdoor firepit and deck with views of the distant mountains and surrounding woodlands!
What's nearby:
Tucked away in the trees on the Burnt Jacket Peninsula just 25 feet from the lake's edge, this home was constructed by local craftsman using solid pine logs in the traditional way. You'll be in the midst of 12 acres of woods, trails, and shorelines, and hundreds of acres of neighboring backcountry for hiking and snowshoeing. The cabin is also just nine miles south of Lily Bay State Park and 11 miles north of downtown Greenville (which is also reachable by boat).
Things to know:
Free WiFi
Full kitchen with a small fridge, oven, and stove
The dock is for swimming only, not for mooring a boat
A dirt road leads to the cabin, so a 4x4 that can handle wear and tear is best
