I love everything about the Dome, We've been coming here for years! Lots of improvements have been made, beautiful new stairway, shower and a nice area to sit under the house out of the sun! Ashley, as always, is awesome and quick to fix any issues! When I win the lottery, I'm gonna buy the Dome :) We love it at the cape and will be back soon!

Cape San Blas was the most beautiful, secluded and untouched by tourism, beach we've been to so far. The dome home is 160 ft. From the beach and hands down the most unique place on the Cape. 2 blocks from a convenient store and rental equipment. During our stay we had a few mild issues that weren't anyone's fault and the property manager swooped in to try and save the day. He was available immediately and responded to all issues. We had a blast and will be back soon.

Loved that we had the beach almost to ourselves. They are still are repairing since the storm. The walkway over the sand dune is not built making it difficult to get small children to the beach & the dune is so high you can’t see the beach from the house. Understand the need for the dunes completely but because of the large dune the beach disappears in the tides. The only complaint we had about the house is that the mattresses were uncomfortable and the living room kitchen is VERY dark. We love to play games & put together puzzles as a family but the lightening made it impossible at night. Over all this is a super fun house!

I have been visiting Cape San Blas for over 20 years. I came as a child and now I bring my own children. The Dome Home is a landmark that everyone knows. When I saw that it was available for the week we were vacationing, my family insisted that we book it. The weather was perfect all week and the location of the house is just right. The other reviews are right about the acoustics of the house. You can be standing in the kitchen, talking to someone in the living room and you would think they are right over your shoulder. Because of my love for this area, it saddened me that the home seem like it was a little neglected. You have to wear shoes when you walk on the deck around the house, it needs to be replaced. It rained once and water came in through a broken seal around a window. There are areas on the floor that are sucken in, but furniture covering them up. The home was clean-ish when we arrived. There wasn't any sand, but a chip bag stuffed behind the night stand and a deodorant cap under the toilet. (And that was just my room) I'm glad we stayed and checked this off our bucket list. Our children loved it. I don't foresee another stay in our future.
Hello Elizabeth! Thank you for your review. We value your suggestions surrounding the condition and cleanliness of the home and have worked closely with our local staff to address these concerns. We hope to host you and your family again in the future!

Our family of 6 stayed a week at the dome home. We loved it and had everything we needed in the home. Upstairs did get a little hot in the evenings but there were fans in the closet to use. Overall, the kids enjoyed the stay and were fascinated by the dome home.

Was great except whopping mound of sand that was put in front of view of ocean.

We loved everything about this place, we were stuck there for 7 weeks during Covid lockdown, and have zero complaints. Staff were helpful, stunning location, fun/different house, and when we realized the toaster didn't work, someone turned up at our door to replace it, the same day.

The location is fabulous. The interior is unique. The beds are small and uncomfortable. There aren't enough windows to view the ocean when it's too cold to go outside. However the deck is perfect if the weather is warm. I can see it being comfortable for 8 people to enjoy. Overall a really cool place.

The location was fantastic. The home survived the hurricanes, so it has great privacy and an amazingly short climb across the dune to the beach. The inside was a bit dated but cozy. Only thing I'd really recommend is new mattresses-no one in our group slept much on our trip, but otherwise, we had a wonderful time celebrating the new year at the Dome Home.

We had a wonderful time at the Dome House! It was in a beautiful and peaceful location. The home was comfortable and clean. Some renovations were just complete and gave it a great updated feel. Some still in the works, so it can only get better.
The manager was wonderful and responded quickly to our questions.

We were not supposed to stay at the dome. Our original rental was completely gutted from the storm. We got placed at the dome and it made our vacation!! The home was huge and right on the beach. Everyone knows exactly where the dome is. Many memories were made because of it.
Would definitely go there again... on purpose!!

This was our 2nd year at the cape, 1st in the dome home and we loved it. Perfect location, had most everything we could need, tho make sure you bring all beach toys, chairs, etc. The kids loved the special acoustics in the house - defitely no secrets while in the living room.Plenty of room in house, great experience with rental company. Fave place to eat is The Sand Bucket - we ate there more than once each year. Try snorkeling in the bay in the park, tho keep in mind there is a gator that sunbathes nearby! Will definitely be back and hope to keep this house in the tradition.

We had a great time staying here the 2nd week of August 2015. This is a home I've always wanted to stay in and it didn't disappoint! The outside looks cool, but the inside is just fabulous! All the beautiful wood and so much space! You'd never guess from the outside that there are 4 bed/3 bath and 3,500 sq.ft. inside there. I loved that you can feel it moving with the ocean breezes sometimes at night! It would rock us to sleep :) We really had fun with the acoustics inside! The location of this house is perfect. It's right on the sugar white beach and there is a 40 ft HUGE driftwood tree washed up on the beach directly in front that was perfect for sitting on and hanging out to watch those gorgeous sunsets.
