At the opposite end of the neighborhood, at Kaloli Point, set off on a two mile trail that leads through the jungle and out to Ha'ena (Shipman) Beach (this is the only beach on this side of the coast with swimming access). Pahoa Village is a little over seven miles away, while Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is only 26 miles southwest.
