The peace and it felt like you was in a home

This little house was a prefect stay for our one year anniversary. It is located perfectly in the mountains just a short drive to so many attraction's just a 20 minute drive to Cherokee, NC. We visited The Native Indian Museum and shopped. It is also 20 minutes from Bryson City, NC which we road the Great Smokey Railway on the open car, it was wonderful. It is only one hour away from Ashville, NC where we visited the Biltmore Estates, we will be going back. The house was so very comfortable, and had everything you would need. the kitchen is so wonderful to have everything to prepare meals. I would diffidently stay here again. The only thing that I would like to share is that there was a lot of stairs down to the house from the parking. I didn't realize there was so many. I am heeling from a knee injury it was a little difficult for me and the stairs up to the bedrooms. This might be something to share on the description for those who may have trouble with stairs. I loved it and would still love to stay again. Thank you to the Reed's. For taking a trip to Dillsboro in June 2006 and coming back in Dec. 2006 finding it for sale and purchasing little house, and doing you own "This Old House" episode.
Thank You from the Bryant's.

We had a great stay at The Reed House and would return in a heartbeat! The small, cozy home is welcoming and well-equipped, with thoughtful details throughout. The fenced-in yard was perfect for our kids and they had a great time watching birds, bees and butterflies. The home is perfectly located for those who prefer to walk to restaurants and stores, but with that convenience comes lots of road noise from motorcycles and souped up trucks, which seem to be quite popular in this area.
The Reeds were kind and helpful, and were responsive when an issue arose. It was a great stay!

It was just what we needed for our weekend getaway! The bed was great! The towels and linens were fresh and crisp. The added touch of the Easter decor was sweet! We enjoyed eating at Boots Steakhouse (make sure to make reservations) and at Forages Canteen. We would definitely go back! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Such a lovely 2nd time around visit!!! Home had a pumpkin & scarecrow outside to welcome us and the fall decor continued throughout each room. Truly a warm comforting home. ❤️

The house is in a great location right in the heart of historic Dillsboro. It was very clean and nicely appointed. The bed was comfortable. The owners were very responsive to one small maintenance issue we made them aware of during our trip. High recommend.

Perfect little house for a family of 4 or 5. Had everything we needed and was close to Dillsboro's restaurants and brewery. Looking forward to another trip soon!

Had a two week job at WCU, so I rented this house. It was exactly as advertised. Walking distance to a number of restaurants and an excellent brewery. The kitchen had everything needed to cook and the bed in the Master was very comfortable. Would rent again if in the area.

The Reed House is excellent. The owners have taken great care to see that the house is furnished with everything u need. We have a poodle that travels with us and the fenced yard was an added bonus. If u are looking to spend time in the mountains I highly recommend giving this place a look. Loved it.

We loved the Reed House! Was cozy & decorated for Christmas. Had inviting gas logs. Very clean. Had everything we needed & more. Was located on the Main Street of Dillsboro, a sweet quaint little town. A great get-a-way for a girls’ trip.

Walkability in town but also to Sylva. It's just the right size for 2-4 adults.

This was our third time staying at the Reed House, and we love it there. It's walking distance from all of Dillsboro's attractions, including several restaurants and an excellent brewpub. The shops are wonderful (don't miss the Chocolate Factory and the Christmas Shop), and the people everywhere are friendly. Nearby Sylva offers even more wonderful options. The house is warm and comfortable. Highly recommended!

I loved the cozy, mountain, home that represents a piece of heaven. The chocolates were a special treat and everything was provided to make your visit enjoyable. Everything was very clean and perfect. Thanks for all the care in welcoming your guest.

We truly loved our stay at The Reed House. It was centrally located. There were several good restaurants right across the street. We loved the two recliners complete with afghans in front of the fireplace. It sure was cozy on a cool rainy morning. There were plenty of towels and all the linens were clean and fresh. The washer and drier were better than mine at home! The Reed's had the home decorated so nicely for autumn. The curb appeal of the house was something out of American Home - white picket fence, American flag, holiday decorations, two rocking chairs. There was plenty of information provided about the area. TV and internet reception was great. We appreciated having AC units with remote controls in both the bedrooms. Everything was above and beyond what we had hoped for. We definitely will stay there again.

We loved that it was walkable - across the street from great ribs, chocolate and coffee, restaurants and a brewery. It's an old house with tight quarters but it worked well for us. Soft bed and all supplies you might need were available. Loved the back yard spot for morning coffee or a relaxing evening.

Enjoyed our stay at the Reed House. Really nice house in center of town. Park once and walk wherever you want to go. Would definitely book their again.

The rooms were small but was clean and confortable. The stairs both inside and out were steep. Getting luggage from parking place into house was a real chore. The king bed in the master was great. The location within Dillsboro was very convenient.

Great facilities and location

Close to the Blue Ridge, Ashevile, Waynesville. Shopping down the street @ Harolds and restaurants and gift shops across the street. Plus a large yard to sit in under the trees and watch the cars go by with our dog by our side. Worked out perfect for us. Plus the house was comfortable and provided with all you may need.

We only stayed a couple days at the Reed house so we didn’t really use the kitchen but if you stay longer, the kitchen has everything that you need. The cottage was very clean and well taken care of. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog and has a great location as it is in the middle of Dillsboro with less than a 2 minute walk to Restaurants. You will have to park on top of the hill and walk down to the house. It’s not well lighted at night so be careful walking down the steps as you can easily trip and fall. I know because I did. It has window AC which I didn’t mind. The only thing that is difficult to do with more than 2 people is eating. There is only a small table and two chairs because of the size of the kitchen/ living room. Other than that, we loved this charming house. Every family member complained about having to leave it.

Had a fantastic stay at The Reed House!

We have stayed in the Dillsboro area before, so I knew the area, but I am glad I found this little place to stay. I try and give feedback in a review that I would like to know. Good thing about this house is that we had no "surprises" everything worked as described, and was very comfortable. I also love that with this house, they don't try and "trick" you with low rates and then add a bunch of fees. The rate for this house was very good for what you get. I can't really think of anything negative to say, we very much enjoyed our stay. Also eat across the street at Ridgewood BBQ, its great, and a couple miles away in Sylva is Speedy's pizza is great as well!!

Great location for visits to Bryson City, Waynesville and Hendersonville. Excellent house, very attentive owner who did their best to insure our visit was enjoyable.

The Reed house is very centrally located. The view from the front porch is really nice. You can walk to restaurants or dip your toes in a running mountain river.

Such a beautiful and peaceful little place nestled right in the middle of downtown. Nice just to be able to walk to the restaurants and shops. We loved our stay and will definitely come back.
