Loved it was within walking distance to town of Eastsound. Beds a little on the hard side.

We've stayed in this area before and really liked it. The location of this unit is ideal. Everything is clean and stocked. We would definitely stay here again.

Close proximity to eastsound and beach with wonderful kitchen. Bedroom and bathroom on ground floor with hang out area and laundry room, middle floor has fire place, bathroom and kitchen and top floor has two bedrooms and bathroom. Tons of DVDs and games available for families for rainy days. We loved our stay!

The home is situated very close to shops.
It was very nice, clean, well stocked but it had a couple issues
1. We could not make the oven work
2. The tv would not work
These two issues were minor inconveniences.
But #3 became more of an issue every day,
ants were more prevalent each day. They were in the kitchen, all around the range.
Elizabeth, thank you for providing your valuable feedback, as we use your comments as a means to continually improve. Our apologies that you encountered issues with the oven and TV. Please know that local staff is available to assist if there are issues with the amenities offered. We hope to have a chance to host your next visit, thank you!

Hot water was on the blink and dirty dishes had been put I to cabinets and drawers. Utensils and things need replacing. The owners keep their own stuff under lock and key and put garage sale junk out for renters. Whole house needs some TLC to be too quality from stained or bleached carpet to stained woodwork and old creaky beds from last century.
We are sorry you didn't have a better experience, David. The hot water heater has been cleaned out and is now functioning great. Our senior housekeeper went to the house to attend to the dishes and did replace some that were not in great condition. We look forward to continuing to care for this home and hope to see you here again!

Perfect place for a getaway! We went with our family of 5 and enjoyed the close location to Eastsound! The trail is so sweet and short! We did some hiking and enjoyed our time visiting Rosario! We highly recommend this home!

Great little place to stay and nicely decorated. Easy walk/distance to town. Was wonderful to have a full kitchen and be able to cook our own food. Would stay there again.
Property manager very responsive to the 2 minor issues with had. Mattresses upstairs were uncomfortable for us (personal opinion). But we loved our time there: less TV, more games and quality family time in a quaint, little town.

This is a beautiful home, very clean, cozy, quiet, close to town. Rooms are separated and private. Loved having bathrooms near all bedrooms. Very grateful to have this for guest visiting Orcas.

Beautiful home, nice neighborhood. Gorgeous kitchen. Walking path connects to downtown. We walked to shops and restaurants every day. Wished we could stay forever.

Beautiful home. Only negative- too noisy with street noise and multiple noisy prop planes flying overhead all day long- it is in the flight path of the local airport.

Great location close to town.

We enjoyed a week here. The location let’s you walk to the restaurants and shops of Eastsound. The house is a good size for a couple small families and is suitable for children. There was even a pack and play, games and DVDs. Kitchen was great with exception of any decent knives. I understand why the owners would not leave good knives for fear someone might take them or treat them poorly. So I suggest bringing a good knife and a bread knife with you if you plan to do any self catering. Although ‘eco’ type soap was provided, dish soap and toiletries were in tiny plastic containers - which isn’t so eco after all. In any case, this was a great house and location in a beautiful place! We were very happy and comfortable there. Thanks.

The house was beautiful...a fabulous kitchen for those that like to cook. Within a 5 minute walk on a beautiful, blackberry-lined trail, to the heart of Eastsound, as well as walkable to the brewery (great local brews and outdoor patio + games) and the airport (some of us flew in and walked to the house). We were a group of 5 adults and 1 child and it was perfectly set up for all of us to comfortably enjoy the house without being on top of each other. Loads of board games and a lovely front porch, and BBQ. Really, a perfect place for a long weekend with friends and family, close to the action in town but super quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend!!

Had a great time on Orcas with ferry/bike trips to Lopez and San Juan. Liam's house was perfect for us (4) - easy walk to town, quick jump onto the roads for rides to Mt. Constitution/Doe Bay, Westsound and Orcas Village. Nice amenities and everything we needed and wanted. Definitely going back.

We thoroughly enjoyed your home, and want to thank you again for accommodating our last minute request!! It truly made our trip more enjoyable and secured the fact that we will always stay in a rental home over a resort in the future! We will be sure to tell our friends and family about your lovely and affordable home, and I have no doubt it will be rented during our wedding week on Orcas next year. We especially enjoyed your map & island brochure basket, your collection of dvds, your many spices (though we didn't use them, it would have been awesome if we would have cooked more!), the updated features and cleanliness of your home! We also loved being so incredibly close to the an accessible and beautiful shoreline, and being just seconds from town. We really loved our stay and I want to thank you again for being so accommodating! We look forward to booking your home in the future!

This is a lovely home located in Eastsound, WA. There are great trails behind the house that take you into Eastsound or to the beach. We were able to walk our kayaks down to the shore as the walk is short and sweet...literally sweet. The path is lined with wild blackberries and lavender and you can hear the waves and smell the salty air...its quite charming.
The house itself is new, clean, well-maintained and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well-stocked with appliances(even a coffee grinder), utensils and basic spices. There is also a charcoal grill on the deck. The living room has games, books, and movies for the whole family. My kids were very excited about the games.
We had perfect weather on our trip and spent a lot of time out exploring the island. The state parks are great for hiking, swimming and kayaking. The views at Mt Constitution were breathtaking. We also enjoyed taking the ferry and exploring the other islands. We were able to see Friday Harbor, Roche Harbor, bike around Lopez island, and we even saw a few dolphins while on the ferry.
We mostly dined in, utilizing the great kitchen, but we did get pastries from Brown Bear Baking a few times and they were delicious. We also really enjoyed the pizza at Hogstone's Wood Oven.
I have already recommended this vacation home to a number of friends and would absolutely stay here again. Orcas seems to be a very special place and we loved getting to spend a week there.

This is a great place to stay on Orcas Island, which is a great place to vacation. We envisioned the house in a wooded, somewhat isolated setting, but it's actually in a residential area in Eastsound. That turned out to be fine, since it's handy to be a very close walk to "downtown."
The house does indeed sleep six without any problems. Two bedrooms upstairs share a large bathroom, and the bedroom downstairs has a small private bath. The house is very attractive and has pretty much everything you'll need. I don't believe that the listing indicates that it has a washer and dryer, but it does.
As discussed in a previous review, although the house isn't on the water, the bay can be seen from the front porch and patio. And it's a three minute walk to be right there.
The requirement of paying for trash is a bit frustrating, but I assume it's a reasonable attempt to keep that under control on this small island. I took our trash and recycling to the Orcas transfer station (i.e. dump) on the day we left; the charge was $13. They take credit cards. You can apparently have the the realtor deal with it for an extra charge.
It is close to the tiny Orcas airport, but we actually enjoyed watching the small private planes coming in and taking off.
Orcas Island is beautiful, and Eastsound is charming. My wife and I were there with our two adult children and their partners. There's plenty to do (kayaking, whale watching, sailing (recommend Kruger Escapes)) and super fresh seafood to cook in the well equipped kitchen (recommend Buck Bay Shellfish Farm). You can also just enjoy the mild summer temps on the porch or patio.
