Having a local person to assist us from Vacasa was great. The 800 number provided had crazy long times if anything came up so connecting with your local house manager is imperative if you have needs come up. But the house, although beautiful and spacious, has been neglected. It needs updates and TLC.

Furniture and appliances aren’t in the best shape, green areas around the pool inside the lanai aren’t cared for, and some things are just old and need to be replaced.

Honestly, our first week was a nightmare (lawn overgrown, ant infestation, not completely clean), but the staff at Vacasa did what they could to help us with our issues. Ants, flies, gnats all over the place. We were bitten almost every day of our 34 day stay, multiple times. We were unable to use the Pool our entire last week in our stay because the filter went out. which was one of the biggest reasons we selected this home. Things were kind of falling apart.

This home has so much potential but the owners need to take some time to make proper investments in the care so that guests can have a comfortable stay. We made the best of it but the issues we faced should have been recognized before we arrived, even with Covid. If the house had not been inspected or properly prepared, it should not have been available for us to rent.
