Two-Story Olivia Beach Home - Dog-Friendly, Close to the Beach

Experience the beautiful northern Oregon Coast from this dog-friendly, two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom Lincoln City vacation rental which features a gas fireplace, an outdoor firepit, enough space for up to four people (and two dogs) as well as community amenities like a fitness room! This home’s modern features in a bucolic coastal setting will appeal to both urban emigres and countryside seekers.

The location of this great home provides quick access to Olivia Beach, which is a quarter-mile walk away! Plus, it’s within a short drive of everything in Lincoln City, where great dining, shopping, and entertainment await. Hunt razor clams on the beach (or Siletz Bay) just a stone's throw beyond your doors, or read a book on the front porch and feel invigorated by the cool ocean breeze; either way, you’ll find something to love about this home. There is parking for two cars at this home, and please be aware that on-street parking is not allowed in town.

The home has a beautiful Nantucket-style interior: Large windows and French doors come together with wainscoting and crown molding amidst bright white cabinets and walls made of wooden panels. Coastal bric-a-brac - starfish, shells, driftwood, artwork - adorn the walls and give this home an authentic beach house feel. Vibrant floors made with reclaimed wood add to its beachy appeal, as do wicker furniture and light color schemes throughout.

Over the front deck and through a set of French doors sits the cozy living room, where guests can spread out on sectional couches and watch cable television or read a book from the bookshelf while being warmed by the gas fireplace. Portrait windows line the living room walls and give great views of the coastal landscape.

Next to the living room sits the kitchen, where the chef in your group will feel right at home with modern amenities like a microwave, refrigerator, gas stove, oven, and dishwasher.

Need to cook for more than just a couple people? No problem! Go ahead and make a feast and don’t worry about space issues - a wraparound granite counter ensures you’ll have plenty of room to set even the largest dishes, and a nearby dining nook that includes a table and chairs offers space for up to four people to dine after that meal is ready!

With two queen-size beds in two rooms, up to four people can sleep comfortably here. You're also welcome to bring two dogs with you, though please note there is a small nightly fee. Though furnished simply, the rooms are warm and welcoming and receive plenty of natural light through large portrait windows. So come during the summertime and wake up with glorious Oregon sunshine streaming in!

Both rooms also include their own flatscreen cable televisions for days when a downpour means it's best to stay indoors.

Don’t worry about leaving modern living conveniences at home - this home includes WiFi as well as a washer/dryer. So go ahead and get comfortable!

A private fenced-in backyard with a nice fire pit is a great place to enjoy a crisp coastal night as you inhale the relaxing combination of ocean brine and wood smoke.

The home’s location is also near Agnes Creek Open Space, where you can hike on great trails and view wildlife in the lush Oregon coast range. Within a short drive you can take advantage of Lincoln City's attractions, including charming souvenir shops, fantastic restaurants, Devils Lake, a casino, and - of course - miles of gorgeous coastline! If you want to head out of town you can drive south to wonderful Depoe Bay and Newport for a fun daytrip.

So whether you’ve come for a relaxing weekend to rest and recharge or to spend time on the beach and in nature, this Northern Oregon Coast vacation rental has what you’re looking for! A damage waiver, covering up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the property or its contents, is included in the cost of your reservation.

Perfect house for our family. Enjoyed access to the beach and quiet neighborhood
Cecilia G. Apr 2021
Great spot to relax with your pup. Lovely new home, soft sheets, beautiful decor. Short walk to beach (stairs). Just what we needed to unwind for a few days
Suellen S. Mar 2021
Really liked the 30’s-40’s look of the homes in the community but with new insides that came with nice appointments and amenities.
Kelli G. Sep 2020
We are so thankful to have found an amazing place that allowed us to have our dogs with us! Dog friendly and CLEAN. Had all the essentials. Perfect for our family of 4. We will be back!
Camille B. Aug 2020
Nicely decorated, kitchen well equipped. Nice family neighborhood friendly.

I love the vibe of this beachy cottage, perfect size for me and my college-age son. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Downstairs is a common area with the living room, kitchen, half bath. Loved having the washer and dryer and air-conditioning. I think having a white sofa is perhaps a bad choice. Very dirty. Window blinds downstairs need replacing. One of them doesn’t work and all are a little tricky to operate. Made of white material so they’re a bit stained. Front porch is fine but the back fenced area leaves little to be desired — concrete slab with a pit fire with one sad chair. It’s a lovely little neighborhood, we felt very safe. However, unless you are a fit individual I would not recommend staying here if you want frequent beach access. There are 40 steps up to the road that take you to another staircase of 112 steps down to the beach. Coming back at the end of the day is rather tiring! I’m 53 and fairly active, but even I chose to drive three minutes down the street for easier access. But I would’ve much rather been able to walk from the house more easily. Bottom line, not the best choice if you have a lot of stuff to carry, very young children, elderly individuals with mobility issues, or a dog that is small and elderly (which was our situation) in your party. I’m afraid I would not come back again for this reason.
Manager response:
Hi, Jan! We appreciate your feedback and want you to know we do take it seriously. The blinds are operational, and the couch is good despite not being pristine. We will ask the homeowner about chairs for the back. Thank you!
Patti W. Jul 2020
Wonderful floor plan and great location. House had everything we needed! Neighbor hood is super cute and the beach is beautiful!
Kayla G. Jun 2020
We loved the dog friendly home! The layout and back fences yard made our stay so wonderful. We did have a problem with the lock box, the code given was wrong, and we waited on hold for over an hour, trying to get into the home. Once we finally got a hold of someone, and got a new code, our stay was great! Luckily the weather was nice so we didn't have to wait in the rain!
Michael M. Mar 2020
Loved the stay nice home and friendly neighborhood
Sarah H. Mar 2020
Great house for two couples! The charming beach decor was tasteful and furniture was cozy and comfortable. Private fenced rear patio was perfect for our doggos. We’ll be back for sure!
Lindy T. Jan 2020
Weather was rainy but house was amazing... comfy, pet friendly home!
lisa k. Dec 2019
The neighborhood is very quiet and the dog paddle is so cute I wish I could live there permanently.
Laurie B. Dec 2019
Super cutely decorated, very clean and new feeling. Olivia Beach is such a cute location, the house is just down the block from the park but a couple blocks from the ocean. Loved it!
Kelly B. Dec 2019
Perfectly appointed rental. I was even able to make a full thanksgiving dinner with the kitchen tools they provide! A great place for a getaway with your dog or loved ones. We will be back.
Terrell I. S. Nov 2019
Vacasa seemed to have thought of everything. Very cute house, squeaky clean, well laid out, comfortable plush beds & pillows, all the kitchen appliances (above and beyond). I was very impressed for the price, well done.
Lea M. Oct 2019
This was the perfect place for a getaway and bringing our dogs was a great bonus! Very clean, comfy and easy access to the beach. We will be back!
Leia N. Oct 2019
The location was perfect, the house was tidy & beautiful, not to mention spotless! Loved staying so much, we didn’t want to leave. Thank you!!!! We will definitely be booking our yearly trip for Dog Paddle!!
Jennifer R. Oct 2019
Love the fact it’s totally dog friendly! And that it’s immaculately clean! And still in all the white and light colors! I’m SO anxious to stay here again! First time I’ve stayed at the beach without a ocean front view, but it’s right there! And I love the neighborhood! Nantucket style-good exercise walking with all the hills, and darling houses in the neighborhood! I’ll definitely rebook!❤️
Amy G. Sep 2019
This beach cottage was amazing! The owners thought of every detail. The beds were very comfortable and each bedroom had it's own attached bathroom. I wish I could have brought my dog - it was so inviting to bring a pet. Dog bed, toys, bowls and even treats in the cabinet.
Charles H. Aug 2019
Beautiful house with lots of charm. Very comfortable!
Linda L. Jul 2019
We loved this little house. Perfect for 4 people, and a dog too if you have one. Adorable decor! Really clean. Everything we needed for a nice vacation was available. Would definitely rent it again.

Kerrie C. Sep 2016
We picked this house based on the location and cuteness of the pics. It was perfect for 3 people. Close to everything, but far enough away it was quiet. Lots of hikes nearby too.
Lorayne R. Aug 2016
Your dog is so welcome here. They even have Dog Bingo as one of the games available to pass the time. We will definitely be back.
Jeff M. Aug 2016
My wife and two smaller children fit perfectly into this house. We had everything we needed for a comfortable and convenient stay. The close proximity to the pool and short walk to beach access made this a pleasant location. I would love to come back again. Thank you to the owners for the use of their home.
Melissa C. Aug 2016
Beautiful setting in a family oriented community. Very comfortable, bright accommodations.
Darryl G. Aug 2016
Place was great and exactly as the description said. It is very dog friendly, clean and quiet. Only complaint would be that the location wasn't sheltered from the strong coastal winds and the backyard really didn't get any sunshine.
Roxanna I. Aug 2016
The home is adorable, and setup very well. We did not bring a dog, but I brought a dog lover and she enjoyed all the additions that were made for bringing an animal.
The neighborhood is adorable. The house does not have a hot tub, but there is a community pool right across the street that looked really nice & clean.
We ate at the Spanish Head Motel and the Mexican at Lacosa (spelling) was fabulous. Try their Catalac Margarita.
Gretchen A. Jul 2016
We had a great time at Dog Paddle house in Lincoln City! It was awesome having a bathroom for each bedroom!
Melissa T. May 2016
The house (Dog Paddle) was cute and cozy. It is small but a perfect size for two couples and my two small dogs. The house is clean and the and very dog friendly. The fence is plus for anyone with dogs. Although the house is close to the ocean (a short walk, a block or two) their were quiet a few stairs to go down to reach the beach. Very doable just a surprise. Anyway I loved the house and would stay their again and recommend it to others.
Close to the ocean, and town..
Virginia K. May 2016
We enjoyed our stay at the Dog Paddle house on the beach. It was a nice little get . We loved Lincoln City and hope to return someday.
Vickie B. Apr 2016
We loved our mini vacation in this charming home & neighborhood.
Linda S. Apr 2016
Would stay again.
Mary H. Apr 2016
This was a really wonderful house with all the conveniences of home. Very nicely decorated with dog and beach theme. Felt very spacious due to high ceilings and layout. Since we didn't have to eat out all the time (full kitchen), the cost per night even with all the add ons was reasonable. We loved Dog Paddle!
Richard S. Apr 2016
The house was clean, well kept and close enough to the beach and any other activities.
Elke A. Mar 2016
The house called the Doggy Paddle was quaint, clean and very dog friendly! food bowl, blanket and even a dog toybox! Cozy and clean, very nice overall!
Close to the ocean, and town..
Katie S. Jan 2016
This house is very cute! Clean, cozy and conveniently located.

THE GOOD:
The check-in & info package, very thorough & much appreciated. The dog supplies & dog friendly back patio were great! Dishwasher was awesome! Use of Netflix & Hulu made the chilly evenings fun after a day outside.

COULD BE BETTER:
**IMPORTANT: Latch on back gate worn out/rusted and takes great effort to make sure it's closed (discovered this when dog went missing & gate was wide open).

Jar of dog bones on kitchen counter FILLED w/ bugs. We dumped it and cleaned the jar. Ugh!

Lightbulbs out: over dining room table, back porch & ceiling in tan bedroom

Clock on kitchen counter looks cool but tells the wrong time (not big deal but annoying).

Whoever is cleaning isn't doing under or behind anything (middle of the room only): bathrooms w/ piles of hair in the corners/behind doors, dust on top and under all knick knacks & items on the floor (cookbooks next to stove are filthy). Cleanser residue on sink tops and in the tub. Pillow cases on tan bed don't fit pillows so it they hang out of cases (not appealing w/ general public use). Kitchen cabinets dirty. Rug in front of kitchen sink REALLY dirty.

Overall, it feels like Dog Paddle was up to snuff at one time w/ décor & creative touches but has been neglected & now appears run down. Someone should plan a very thorough cleaning and inventory of things that are worn out, faded & too dirty to salvage. The cleaning service appears rushed or not into detail & that makes a huge difference in how clean the entire place stays & feels (under, behind & corners count!).

For the price we paid things should have been sparkly clean & in good working order. Wear and tear is to be expected but there's a sense of corners being cut w/ cleaning and maintenance. Location was great but cost was steep for the above issues. Most likely won't go this route for accommodations again. To top it off both beds were really uncomfortable. Our spines were happy to get back to our beds.

Manager response:
Thank you so much for leaving a review for us. We apologize that the home was not as clean as it should have been and that there were some maintenance issues. The Property Manager has been made aware so he can follow-up with the cleaning crew and take care of the gate and lights. We appreciate your feedback, and we hope to have another chance to impress you!
Ali M. Nov 2015
The house was so cute - perfect size for our family with our 2 year old daughter and 2 yellow labs. Absolutely loved all of the dog decor and how dog friendly it was - they had a dog dish and a bucket already lined with a bag to use for your dog food if you want, dog toys and a dog blanket available (our pups love to snuggle up on a blanket), doggy bags, and more! The surrounding neighborhood is very nice as well. Clean, comfortable, and affordable... we would definitely stay here again.
Blanca D. Oct 2015
This house was perfect! Very clean and well kept. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Dog Paddle over Labor Day weekend with our two children (2 & 4yrs) and our dog. The home is situated just a couple streets over from Olivia Beach. There is a small playground in the neighborhood that was fun for our kids. The walk to the beach does require descending a large, steep staircase, however the drive (if you are bringing a lot of stuff with you) is short with a parking lot right on the beach. The home itself is nicely equipped with all we needed. We brought most of our food, so we did not use the grill, but the patio is nice and fenced. There are a lot of small trinkets and semi-fragile decor that we had to put up and away from our very toddler. The bedrooms each have a bathroom attached which was very convenient, as well as having a powder room on the main level. The furnishings are cute and dog-themed, however the couch is not very comfortable (not an issue for us, but if you are looking for a cushy couch, this is not it). This was our first visit to Lincoln City (usually stay in Cannon Beach or Manzanita) and it was great. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
Traci P. Sep 2015
Everything was great aside from the toilet overflow running through the fixtures to the main level and appreciate you coming to look at the situation the following day! It was a great trip overall!
Kim N. Sep 2015
Great place for anyone , but a must for dog lovers, we appreciate the pet accommodations . I wish you could decorate my home! Thank you !
Marie C. Aug 2015
The house is super cute and very comfy, and dog friendly. For us, a little too far from the beach
Michael S. Jul 2015
Loved it. Thanks!!!
Valerie H. Jul 2015
Loved the Dog Paddle! It is adorable and had everything we needed. Beautiful community!
Georgy S. Jul 2015
Our family recently stayed in Dog Paddle at Olivia Beach. We had a great time swimming in the community pool and relaxing in the nicely decorated home. It was a great weekend!
