There were definite pros and cons to this cabin.
Pros: Great location with easy although limited access to the lake. Some attempt has been made to fix up the cabin with new carpeting, flooring, bathroom remodel and new family room furniture. Plenty of space for parking and boat trailer storage. Overall the cabin was clean. Internet worked great.
Cons: No AC at all and no heat in the upper level. Electrical outlets were hard to use as plugs would not stay in. Some switches didn't work at all. Appliances were very old. No TV. Netflix was available providing you have an account and remember your sign in.
Manager response:

We loved our 2 weeks at this clean, well stocked home. Did have a couple issues that I think everyone renting should be aware of, this is not a place if plan on hanging out by the lake ( which we don’t because we have a boat and usually leave by late morning and do not return until dinner). On Saturday morning our 1st week my 10 year old nephew stepped off the pier onto the sand, the neighbors to left ( when looking from the water) come running over telling him ( a little kid) to get off of her property she pays the taxes, we apologized he got out ( he was just standing there) after that every time we would go down to leave on the boat they would come down and just watch us. The family to the right are very nice people but the shared water front on that side is very small. After that we still really liked the house and location and planned to return next year for the same 2 weeks. This morning before our checkout time I contacted Vacasa to book those weeks and they informed me that they have already booked those weeks for next year. I found it very odd that the renters in the house do not get the 1st chance to rebook but I learned Vacasa does not have that policy. If I want to reserve for 2022 I could do that but I would have to pay in full now . Besides those 2 things this was a very nice place to make family memories.
Manager response:
Hi, Carole! We appreciate your feedback and apologize for the interaction you experienced with the guest. Normally there is a rope on their side of the pier to prevent people from stepping off to that side. We will be providing a map for future guests to help eliminate any unwanted interactions. Thank you!

The property was very clean upon arrival and easy access from the highway. The kitchen was well equipped and the property had ample room for 7 to 8 guests. We had great access by boat to the Manitowish Chain and spent every day on the water enjoying water skiing, tubing, and we also brought our own kayaks. It was a short ride to access the bike trail and we enjoyed morning rides to Mercer and Boulder Junction. A great place and great location for a family to enjoy many activities.

My wife and I loved the fact the cabin was tucked back into the woods surrounded by large mature trees. Beautiful sandy beach with a pier on a gin clear lake allowed swimming and sun bathing.
Cabin has 4 nice size bedrooms and fireplace. We did not spend much time in the cabin because most of the time we sat around the fire pit or at the beach.

Great, clean cabin in the north woods. Kitchen is excellently equipped. We were snowmobiling, and the house is located just down the road from the trail. Only issue we had was the driveway is extremely tight for trailers. No way to get anything larger than a 2-place trailer close to the house. Other than that, great spot for a family/group of 4-6.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, Ross! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and apologize the snowplow did not create enough space. We have plans this coming winter to plow it differently for easy entrance and exit with trailers. We hope to see you again! Can we respond to this and say that that home came on in the middle of winter so we were not able to change the way the old plow guy had it plowed. We will plow it differently this year for easy entrance and exit with trailers.
