Loved the layout of this home with its central gathering space and endless water views. The kitchen was well-equiped and the yard beautiful. The bathrooms very nice and clean. We saw deer and bunnies enjoying the fruit trees. The BBQ could use a refresh but everything else was lovely.
House is beautiful as pictured, and quite comfortable with cozy beds, fluffy towels, well appointed kitchen, board games, outdoor fire pit. Gorgeous water views from expansive property and easy access to water. Internet is available if you want it. Loved that cell service was iffy at best. Made it so easy to stay blissfully unplugged. Only (non)issue was problem with outdoor grill. We couldn’t get it to light but aren’t used to using gas grills, so could have been due to our inexperience. Just cooked inside instead.
Have you ever been to one of those places where you feel just right? So right, you don’t want to leave? This was the one. The attention to architecture, patio layout, guest house and sauna along with lovely landscaping was also just right. We had text access to a person who made our text exchanges sound cheery as details were tended to efficiently. Plus we got a little Vacasa gift of cards and bottle opener. We would love to return again. Thank you.
Great place to hangout with family.
Beautiful view, well appointed home, wonderful grounds. FYI - The doors and some of the cupboards could use a little grease but the home and property seem well taken care of. Thanks for sharing your space with us.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, Laura! We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay at this wonderful view home. We will pass your suggestions onto our management team so that we can make these simple improvements- we can't wait to have you back again!
Our family had a fabulous week -- despite the snow, overcast skies, and rain. The warm tile floors kept us cozy and the fully equipped kitchen kept us cooking and baking. The views of the bay, islands, eagles, and robins added to our enjoyment. Special shout out to the helpful caretakers who shoveled the driveway clear of snow. And of course, the sauna was especially nice during this cold February week. Our granddaughter said, "Can we live here?" We'll definitely come again.
A beautiful property with stunning views. A wonderful place to find some peace and quiet.
The house, settings and grounds are all incredible. We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend.
House was great. And couldn’t beat the view. Would have been nice to have more outdoor seating.
Beautiful view and so peaceful. Easy to find but you feel you are in the woods. Lots to do and see in the area. Kitchen well equipped.
The house and location were terrific. There were a few bumps at the start. The house had not been cleaned when we checked in, and we had no hot water. Once we cut beyond that rough start, it was smooth sailing.
Great views, beautiful location, comfortable and welcoming house.
Wonderful kitchen and beautiful view. Plenty of room inside the house and even outdoor with fire pit that we sat around every night after gathering driftwood off the beach. The big grassy area between the house and the beach was perfect for bocce ball. Also, we felt we had the beach to ourselves. I don't think we saw anyone while we were there.
We really enjoyed our stay at this Fidalgo beach home. The home was beautiful and well kept. The yard was perfect for lawn games, and we were pleased to have a fire pit for once the sun went down. Look forward to visiting again.
Wonderful getaway for our family during the Fourth of July week. Gorgeous setting and so close to Anacortes if needed.
I don't think it's normal but we saw 2 bald eagles, 2 deer, and saw orcas during our stay. The house was really nice.
House was beautiful! Had a great stay. Although, it was asked that we start a load of laundry and dishes upon leaving but there wasn’t detergent for either. Otherwise, great property
Love the property. Comfortable spacious beautiful views. We had rented the house only knowing that there was an available guest house. The first day/ night was great until the cleaners showed up the next day to prepare the guest house for renters. It was disruptive to our relaxation seeing people walking across the property back and forth and the renters also “sharing” the property which should have been private. Minor but not enough glasses.
We apologize if our guest was unaware the outdoor space is shared between the two units. We have added this clarification to the home description. Thank you!
We had a lovely stay at this very beautiful home. The windows in the master bedroom, kitchen and family room allow stunning views of the beautifully landscaped back yard and beach. We were visited by deer, rabbits and an Eagle. This is a wonderful property.
Gorgeous views and well maintained grounds come as a package with this lovely 3 bedroom l shaped beach house. We have a toddler and he was happy to play in the grass, on the beach, or indoors. We've stayed both in the guest house and the main house and I have to say we probably prefer the guest house by a smidgen. There was no wine bottle opener when we went so visitors bring your own :)
Stunning view to wake up to every morning! Has a amazingly stock kitchen with everything you could need. Parking is kind of hard if you have a larger vehicle but the property and view was well worth it!
We loved the location of this home. We were able to explore Anacortes, Oak Harbor, and La Conner on our trip as the home is only about 20 minute drive to each. We also went to Deception Pass State Park. Our kids loved playing on the beach at the home. It has a great beach and yard. With all the finishes in the home being so nice, the only thing we were disappointed in were the beds. They were platform style beds, low to the ground and without a box spring. We have sore backs from just two nights there unfortunately. There is also another smaller home on the property that is rented separately. There was another family staying there so the yard and the beach are shared with those renters and that took away from the privacy that we expected.
The pictures don't tell the whole story. Everything was great!. Just as described.
Lovely view, wonderful bird viewing. Lots to do close by the location.
Nice place to stay, right on the water! Beautiful kitchen and lots of space.
This is the second year we have stayed at this property and we love it. The house is well laid out in an L form with the 3 bedrooms and baths down a hallway on the short side, giving each of us quiet and good spaces to retire to for rest. The long side of the L is the well appointed kitchen and dining area which is designed for cooking as a group or socializing (and support) as someone takes charge of the menu. The living room is open and easy for conversation or reading and the open concept of this part of the house really support socializing. We used the little media room, which has internet and cable and it would be a great room for adults and kids on a rainy day, which we had. We've come in January both times and the house has heated floors and despite the floor to ceiling windows is quite toasty and its wonderful to watch the weather from almost any room in the house. The master bedroom is windows on two side and has a wonderful view and a great master bath. We didn't use the sauna, but it is there for guests. Both visits there were guests in the other VACASCA house on this very property, architecturally designed to be compatible with the 3 bedroom, and we didn't know the other guests were there except for their car. This is to say that the property is large. I think it would be another great experience to rent in the summer when the outdoor patio and the beach would add another aspect to the stay.
My fiance and I had a great stay there. Great view wonderful home. We only wish we could have stayed longer.
This home is so wonderful. you feel as though you can just relax and enjoy the afternoon away. No worries about anything. The scene is the best. There was deer in the yard playing, a rabbit visiting and many geese down on the beach area. We truly enjoyed our beach getaway. Thanks for giving us a break from the daily monotony.
Great house, very well stocked. Pristine lot with fabulous waterfront. Quiet. Great place to recharge!
Hello My husband wants to know who is the architect. Is he/she local? Marge
This really is an incredible house. We went with one other family, so totaled 4 adults and 3 children. The kids had a blast - the property is amazing with an expansive field and beach access and deer that come up right to the property. The kids pretty much played outside the whole time, while we cooked food and enjoyed some cocktails overlooking the amazing view.
The house had some very minor updates needed (blinds, broken drawer, fire alarms), but nothing that spoiled the experience. In fact, the house is really well appointed with great appliances, utensils and an overall kitchen that is a joy to cook in. The other family staying with us was family from the East Coast and they were stunned. Great spot!
The parts for the custom blinds have arrived and will be installed by the end of the month. The smoke detector batteries have been replaced, and the drawer has been repaired. We are glad to see this guest enjoyed their stay!
We arrived to this beautiful home a little after checkin and it was obvious the cleaning crew had never come. After speaking to four different customer service representative's the cleaning crew finally came at 11 PM. This might be a one off case, but I feel it necessary to explain so that future guests know what to experience from management. Besides that, the home is very beautiful and in a amazing location. The hot water is very good and we very much enjoyed the fire pit though we had to go out and get our own wood. On our second night the fire alarms beeped the entire time, which was quite annoying. After inspecting them we found they were cheap fire alarms that were being set off by simple steam from the bathrooms. Overall, I recommend staying at this home but warn you that there will be surprises. It's location is very stunning.
We sincerely apologize for this mix-up and want to assure our guests that missed cleans such as this are very rare. We are sorry that it took such a long time to address in this case as well. We appreciate the guest's patience in the matter. Thank you!
What we loved most about this property is the grounds and the view. The grounds are lovely and well maintained as the view is beautiful and peaceful. Loved watching rabbits and birds feasting on the grounds as well as a doe and her fawns fed on leaves on the property next door. The home is very nice and the kitchen is well stocked. There are some maintenance issues that need to be dealt with to have a 5 star rating.
The house was perfectly clean and looked as good as it does in the photos!
We had a great stay and would definitely recommend this house if you're looking for a place right on the water with lots of space and an amazing kitchen!
Spent 3 nights here with our 5 year old son. He had fun exploring the beach, while we sat and enjoyed the beautiful weather. The house was fabulous.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house and setting.
There is a long sandy beach right out front to enjoy.
It is easy to travel to Anacortes, La Conner, and Whidbey Island from this location.
Everything was top quality and lovely! I would like to return here for another vacation.
The only issue we had was the see through fireplace became smoky after it burned awhile.
Great views of the the bay. Very comfortable
Great house for groups. Wonderful views from most rooms. Close enough to town. We didn't want to leave.
The view made it worth it. Property was well maintained and super comfy!
Beautiful view, close to Deception Pass and Anacortes. Comfortable beds and very relaxed check-out. Perfect spot for a family get-together. Lots to explore on the beach (depending on the tide). Sauna and deep soaking tub were a lovely bonus!
The views from this beautiful home make you feel like you're floating on the water! Rain or shine you will enjoy a unique perspective of the water and surrounding islands. The home itself is spacious and warm, with colorful decor. The kitchen has all the equipment you'll need if you're cooking and although we didn't grill outdoors, it has all that too. The beachfront is nice to walk along and has plenty of colorful rocks if you are a collector. This home is situated conveniently to explore Anacortes, La Connor and access to the San Juan Islands. We loved it!
I visited this home with a few friends and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The views from the home are stunning and the layout of the home is great. We enjoyed exploring the beach and getting out into Anacortes. One highlight was during an attempt to find an ice cream parlor, we stumbled upon Lopez Island Creamery which gave us free pints of ice cream! One thing to note is that if you visit with the maximum 8 people, someone will need to sleep on the couch (there are 3 beds). We will definitely be planning on coming back to visit again!
Perfect location with alot to do. The house was beautiful with a gourmet kitchen. House was right on the water. Had a great time, we will be back!
Loved my stay at this gorgeous home. Modern but cozy spaces with tons of light and amazing views. Staying here during a stretch of wintry weather was a treat - the fireplace and the sauna were perfect for warming up. I hope to return with my family during the summer to take advantage of the great outdoor space and comfortable indoor spaces.
This is going to be a very hard place to top in the future. It was an amazing vacation rental. We will be back for sure! Thanks!
We show much enjoyed the morning drinking coffee and watching the sun rise! Such a beautiful area.
We spent New Years here with the kids. The views were great and we loved the kitchen area for family meals and board games
This is a lovely home. Very comfortable and relaxing. Will definitely book this again.
The cabin it self has a very modern style and has a lot of windows, giving it a ton of natural light. It has heated floors which is pretty awesome. Top quality appliances and double oven. Master bedroom and bathroom has prime views on the water which makes it so awesome to wake up to. Superb location, less than 10 min to deception pass.
This is the place to visit if you just want to relax! We barely left the house! The gourmet kitchen was a dream and the beds were comfortable, if a bit squeaky. Views of the water entertained us and the wood burning fireplace gave warmth and ambiance. We did hope for more of a walkable beach but that could have been due to weird tide timing. The den off the living room was acceptable for a kid's sleeping space but it is the only place there is a television, and no DVD player. We had planned on exploring Deception Pass and Mt. Erie but the typical rainy Washington weather called for food, games, cozy fires and good company!
