Gorgeous lodge w/ shared hot tub, pool & more - great location & 1 dog welcome

This cozy Black Butte Ranch vacation cabin will instantly make you feel right at home and completely relaxed! A wonderful wood stove warms the vaulted main level living area, and the hardwood floors and wood accent walls invite you to simply curl up and relax by the fire. With all the golf courses, hiking trails, swimming pools, hot tubs, tennis courts, horseback rides, and fishing holes waiting for you, though, don't get too comfortable!

This beautiful home is tucked away in the forests 32 miles away Bend, and about nine miles away from Sisters. With so much natural beauty around you, your dog will love this vacation home (nightly fee applies).

Thoughtfully furnished and with enough space to sleep up to eight guests, this cabin still feels cozy enough for a couple or small family getaway. The living area is open and spacious, with sunny windows overlooking the deck and a TV with DVD player (no cable service) for movie nights. The sofa unfolds to a sleeper for extra guests, and the wood-stove is supplied with fresh logs for extra coziness.

The open kitchen has tile floors and adjoining dining area that seats four, along with a breakfast bar that seats two. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'll need to prepare a delicious meal, from the expected refrigerator and stove to the much-appreciated dishwasher! There are pots and pans, plates and silverware, utensils, glassware, and serving dishes that make feeding a group of hungry hikers or early-rising golfers a breeze.

The main level master has a queen size log-hewn bed and private bathroom (which has the homes shower.) The warm wood walls, sloping ceiling, and soft quilts make the master feel especially romantic and cozy.

The upper-level loft open to the downstairs, provides a great separation of space from the main floor master suite, and offers a queen bed and two twins. There is a half bath on the main level.

When you're able to drag yourself away from the sunny deck or cozy fireplace, Black Butte offers plenty of outdoor diversions: two gorgeous golf courses, tennis, horseback riding, miles of paved riding and walking trails, canoe rentals from the lake at the lodge, full service spa, four swimming pools, and a variety of dining options!

Enjoy a sunset dinner at the Lodge restaurant - the views out towards the Cascade Range and overlooking the meadow are unmatched, and the bar atmosphere is always a fun place to watch the big game. Favorite day trips include hiking up Black Butte to the ranger station or fly-fishing on the Metolius River. Camp Sherman is a special place to visit, whether you feed the fish at the fish hatchery or browse at the country store. Sisters, just twenty minutes away, offers a wonderful coffee shop, bakery, movie theater, antique stores and many great dining options.

And at the end of every adventure-packed day, coming home to this warm and inviting charming Black Butte Ranch cabin is a great place to wind down and relax!

*At check-in, please be aware that the resort will collect an $9 daily fee for every guest 7 years and older for access. Please be aware that this fee will be collected by the resort at check-in. Also, please note that motorcycles are not permitted within the ranch or on any of the Black Butte properties.*

So quiet! The space is well designed for a small group. We were busy shopping in Sisters and hiking around Camp Sherman during the day, then fixing an easy dinner and catching up on our reading after the grandson went down for the night.

Although it can accommodate more, the three of us (mom, dad, and puppy) find the size is just right. The location is great for dog walks, and even a family walk to Robert’s Pub. Convenient access to the lodge and highway, yet still secluded.

Was there to relax, knit and enjoy the community and this little hovel was just the best!!

Clearly the best stocked kitchen of any rental I have ever had.

The home was well-appointed and very cozy. We enjoyed our stay!

The home has most everything you need and all in good condition. Furniture and beds very comfortable. Situated very close to the Big Meadow golf course. Only thing we missed was cable TV for current news and sports.

Perfect size for the two of us.

There is an $8/person/day charge levied by the Ranch, collected upon check in @ the Welcome Center. This allows guests to access all manner of Ranch amenities, including pools, activity/fitness centers, bike rental for their extensive/beautiful bike paths.

Other than the usual kitchen utensils, cookware, a bag of ice, salt/pepper, there was nothing else in the home.

I loved the location of this house. I didn't read the list of amenities carefully enough. When I booked I didn't notice no TV and no internet and the home is very outdated but clean and neat. The price was good for what you got and I was very happy we could bring our dogs with us

Close to the lodge and golf course.
Very small. Needs updating and upgrading of furniture. Needs to provide TV cable and internet.
Greg R. May 2017
The appliances are ancient. Washer and dishwasher were extremely loud. There was a really bad ant problem. Not having cable and internet was inconvenient in this day and age. The furnishings were "ok" but old. There was a cabinet in the closet and I pulled out a drawer to look for a blanket and the drawer fell on my foot because it was broken. The inside was just not conducive to the beauty of the ranch itself. It was clean and met our basic needs . We loved Black Butte and will most definitely be back but would not choose to stay here again.
Manager response:
Due to the home being small it is easy to hear running appliances, but this is the first we've had a complaint regarding the noise. The Property Manager has taken care of the drawer and ant issue. The owners are considering adding cable and internet, but at this time it is not definite and neither are advertised for this home. Thank you!

The home was in an excellent location on a semi private loop and close to the golf course. Very clean and inviting. Check in/out instructions were simple and accurate. We had a great time in Black Butte! The only thing I would suggest is new linens for the home. Otherwise, a wonderful home for a vacation.

This home was a great winter retreat snug and warm, but plenty of great winter hiking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing available. Very quiet. ... Bring a few seasonal Christmas decorations (lights, small tree) for the main room to add ambiance.

We rented this cabin for 2, but it could have easily slept 6-8 people. It was the perfect The kitchen amenities were adequate. There was no "shared hot tub" as the description stated, unless they mean the hot tub @ the lodge which is about a 20 minute walk away. BUT we had a wonderful time staying @ BBR, and would definitely stay here again. Hopefully the next time we come the cabin will have wifi!

Nice cozy house. Small kitchen, clean and convenient location. No wifi. Otherwise pretty ok!

Everything was as stated. Thank you!

It need a complete remodel. The new addition looks wonderful. Too bad the clients can't use it.

We've stayed at BBR many times over the years and have never been disappointed. Our stay this summer was exceptional!

Great location! Close enough to action, still secluded.

This house presently has an addition under construction; did not create a problem
as to use.

Great cozy home in Black Butte Ranch. Stayed here with my husband, our two dogs and my parents for Christmas weekend and it was everything we could have hoped for. The home could easily host more people but we were quite comfortable. Fully functional kitchen with supplies (including dog kennel and water bowl!). The only two issues we had were we wish there was internet and wish that the capacity of the water heater was larger. It was hard to have 4 adults showering in the morning while making breakfast. Hot water would last for first 2 to take showers, then be ice cold for about 35-40 minutes after. The area was GORGEOUS! There were well marked and groomed trails (both cross country skiing and hiking) around the entire Ranch. Also enjoyed the Lodge Restaurant - friendly staff and tasty food. Very cute general store with the essentials and more on site, and very close to Sisters and easy drive to Bend. Would definitely stay here again!

Spent two days celebrating by birthday and enjoyed every minute. Black Butte is an excellent place.
Manager response:
Thanks for sharing your review. Happy belated birthday!

We were a small group of guys in BBR for a long golf weekend. The accommodations were a little tight with some of us that like to snore.... loud! But it was great! Good food, drink and fun times sitting on the back deck talking about life, family and kids. We will be back next year... Same bat channel, same bat time...

Very quiet, restful
Judy J. Jul 2015
The location and general layout of the house is fine and our dogs loved the large water dish and extensive deck area. However, having one shower for 5 people (house could accommodate 8) is rather inconvenient to say the least. During our stay at Black Butte the weather was extremely hot and no air-conditioning made the visit uncomfortable. I realize this was an unusually warm season but air conditioning should be considered since our research while at the ranch noted this is the third year of such high temperatures.
Manager response:
Thank you for sharing your review and feedback. We're sorry that your stay was affected by the high temperatures in Oregon. Vacasa does allow guests to choose specific amenities that are important to them when booking. We also have phone agents available to assist in booking the perfect home for your stay. We hope to have another chance to impress you!

Wonderful cozy place. We had a great time last weekend. Location was pretty good close to the main lodge and golf course ! Loved the swimming pool area ! THe kids simply loved the loft area and didnt want to even venture out of the home. Loved the collection of movies, books. THanks to the owners for giving us a great time..

So when I first saw the review online for this rental, I wasn't interested. BUT, I waited to the last moment and this was really the only place that was available, so I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. It's not amazing and totally up-to-date, but you're also not paying a premium for that. It's on the Ranch, within some cute trails, is safe, and clean. I really was expecting the worst and was pleased that it was better than expected.
