Dog-friendly home with access to shared pool and hot tub!

This rustic yet stylish two-bedroom Black Butte Ranch vacation rental could be the very definition of "mountain cabin", with its earthen gray wood facade, stilt-lifted frame above a carpet of pine needles, and its perch on Rock Ridge overlooking Big Meadow - beautiful and green.

This lovely cabin is just a piece of the beauty of the surrounding Deschutes National Forest and the Cascade Range, just outside the door. The perfectly framed view of Mt. Jefferson is especially magnificent. Black Butte Ranch is about 32 miles north of Bend.

Step inside. Savor the cabin's relaxing atmosphere, accentuated from floor to ceiling by pale knotted woods, vaulted ceilings, and a charming wood stove, its long neck reaching up through the roof. After a hike among the pines, make yourself a cup of coffee or cocoa and settle in. Sink into the comfortable furniture and listen to a CD or watch your favorite show on cable. Bring your laptop: this could be the peaceful, interruption-free atmosphere you've been wanting in order to catch up on your half-finished manuscript. The home is equipped with WiFi throughout. You're also ideally located between three swimming pools!

Smartly designed, this cabin makes great use of space. Tucked away under the loft is the fully equipped kitchen, complete with everything your chef will need, including a microwave, dishwasher and coffeemaker for that eye-opening cup of morning joe. When it's nice, fire up the gas barbeque on the big deck and grill your meal out among the towering pines. Or, give your cook a break and choose from the resort's Lodge Restaurant, Robert's Pub, Aspen Lounge, or Lakeside Bistro.

This lovely cabin sleeps a total of eight. You're also welcome to bring up to two dogs with you, though please be aware there is a nightly pet fee.

Downstairs you'll find two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. Kids can saunter up to the loft where they'll bed down on two twin sets of new bunk beds and have a special space of their own to get away. There are two bathrooms, one on each level. With a washer and dryer right in the cabin, you won't be dragging clothes to the laundromat or bringing home any muddy hiking gear.

With a small fee at check-in, guests get access to Glaze Meadow Recreation Center and Black Butte's two championship 18-hole golf courses (check for tee-times and prices), 18 miles of paved bike paths, a state of the art spa, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, hot tub, children's wading pool and "spray" ground, steam room, workout facilities, a sports shop, and equipment rental shop.

Learn to fly fish at Phalarope Lake or go solo in the rushing waters of the nearby Metolius River. Take a day trip across the entrance of the resort to Camp Sherman where you can visit the General Store or feed the fish at the hatchery. Or, head over to the nearby town of Sisters - home to the Sisters Rodeo - where you can shop, dine, or attend one of the many musical events. Skiers: Hoodoo Resort is just 20 minutes away, and Mount Bachelor, about an hour and a half.

Come join the growing number of people who've discovered Black Butte Ranch, a gem on the eastern edge of the Cascade Range. While you're there, make this gorgeous Central Oregon vacation rental your home away from home.

*At check-in, please be aware that the resort will collect an $9 daily fee for every guest 7 years and older for access. Also, please note that the ranch does not permit motorcycles within the ranch or on any of the Black Butte properties.*

I love the location and the views this house has to offer, however the cleanliness of the home was very disappointing. There were clumps of dog hair on the floors in obvious spots that should have been vacuumed/swept, as well as comforters on the bed covered in dog hair that hadn't been washed. All beds also need to be replaced in this home. This feedback has been given by multiple guests for quite some time now.
Manager response:
We have deep cleaned this home to address the pet hair, and the beds are still new, so they will not be replaced at this time. Thank you!

Our family of four and one dog stayed in this house for a week very happily. The location is great - it's all about the view of Mt. Jeff from the porch. The house isn't huge - I can't imagine adding a second family as there just isn't that much shared space. The furnishings and finishings are a little run down. It could use a refresh on appliances, shower curtains, pillows, etc. But very homey and very family-friendly. Also there is an A/C unit in the house now - which isn't mentioned in the review. We were thrilled to find it there, and certainly added to our enjoyment.

The house has a great view of the meadow and Mt Jefferson. The kitchen is well stocked - but the knives need sharpening. The beds were comfortable but could use new pillows. The gas BBQ didn't work well and the oven seemed off temperature. But the house is very comfortable, reasonably priced, and we had a great time with family - and a pup.
Manager response:
We have cleaned the BBQ so it is working very well, and this fall we will place new knives and pillows in the home. Thank you!

This house is a fair price, has a good layout and has a great view of Mt Jefferson. The furnishings are comfortable and everything is clean and well kept.
The kitchen is well equipped. Beds are a bit soft. I prefer a firm mattress, but you can’t please everybody.
I would fix the BBQ ingnition. We lit it by using a short cigarette type lighter and a long piece of paper, but this is not ideal- especially in fire season.

Great view! Fit myself, my teenage son, and my parents for a week. Quiet, simple house, with the amenities you need, and a great view.

BBQ didn’t work, and I would recommend adding beach towels for the pool. Other than that, the home is older and rustic but very clean and cute. The view, deck, and chairs is AMAZING!!

Close to glaze meadows. My three year old loved that! Great Mountain View from the porch. Would stay again! Only thing that I could say is a “negative” is the lack of any window coverings in the main living area. Other houses around and it would be nice to not feel like people could be looking in. Other than that, it’s a great house.

Perfect, quiet and clean. An absolutely carefree family vacation with a great setup for kids.

A little rustic. Dirt driveway. Good location. Probably a good value for the price tho. I would be upset to pay more than $275 a night for this place though.
Manager response:
As of October 2017 the dirt driveway is now gravel which can be viewed in the new pictures posted. Thank you!
Vicki M. Jul 2017
They need to put gravel in drive way to reduce dirt blowing around
Need to refresh utinsels in kitchen. Serving spoons, etc
The bedrooms get hot but there are fans; on 90 days the bedrooms are very warm at bedtime.
I would only stay here if it was the last choice, bec of high rent over July 4 week .

Our family of 5 and our dog had a wonderful time at Spring home 47. We really enjoyed the beautiful view from the deck. The location is perfect. The home is comfortable and well stocked. We were sad to have to leave and can't wait to return again!

This house is in a great location with a beautiful view of the meadow and Mt. Jefferson. It is a very cozy place. But be forewarned for gale force winds on the patio because there is no shelter from the trees. I believe the view is what you pay for with this property, because the house furnishings are kind of tired and worn out. The dining chairs are covered in a hard plastic that you stick to if you are wearing shorts. The ad says there are bikes available, but that was not the case, and unfortunately, I did not take bikes with me for this reason. Could be a really cute place with some updating and maybe a wind shield wall on the patio. I will not return to this particular property.

We love black butte ranch, and the vacasa rental was just perfect. What view from the house.

The house was great for a pet and had two main rooms downstairs with bunks upstairs. Had utilities to have home cooked meals, nice view of mountain from deck and living room. We didn't have the best weather so it was nice to have a copy place with a fire to come back to.

This was our first visit to Black Butte. I can say it was absolutely fantastic. The house was even better than we had expected. Size wise it worked great. It had all the amenities we wanted and a better view than we thought through the trees. If I had to fault something was that you do not get full on sun on the deck, but we spent most of our time out and about. Would recommend this house to families with kids and even a group of friends. Really enjoyed it.

A very comfortable and clean home with incredible view! Very happy memories with my family!!
Kevin B. Jul 2014
House was very clean when we checked in and the view is amazing. Location is good - very private, with easy access to the Pool and the trail system. Worth noting that there's no garage to store bigger items that you bring - like your own bikes or kid trailers - so make sure you're comfortable leaving them out in the open.

We stayed at Spring Home 47 for our first visit to Black Butte Ranch. Our family has been going to Sunriver annually for 20 years but decided that this year we would finally check out Black Butte. The house was perfect for our needs with 2 bedrooms and a bath on the main floor and a loft with 2 sets of bunk beds, a couch, bathroom, and TV. Everyone had their own space. There is a beautiful view of the meadow and Mt. Jefferson from the living room window and the deck is surrounded by pine trees. It is an easy bike ride to anyplace you want to go in Black Butte; the pools, lodge, pub, rec center. There are so many activities for kids and adults. Several swimming pools, a lake (with kayaking, stand up paddle boards, canoeing), bike rentals, archery, geocaching, horseback riding, ping pong, pool....We had a great time! Also, the food at both the lodge restaurant and the pub was excellent. We stayed for a week but could easily have stayed longer and not run out of things to do.

We enjoyed the cabin but for the price, the sleeping accommodations were not comfortable. This is the best dollar value should the owner care to make an improvement. We would go back unless we can get another family to come with us or unless the bedding are updated.

I took my son and a friend to BBR. We had a great time. This cabin is a great deal. The location is good, being a short bike ride from the Glaze Meadow pool. Two bikes are available; this is a nice amenity that most places don't have. Wi-fi was critical to the boys and the signal was excellent. We would definitely rent this cabin again
