Recent Black Butte Ranch vacation rental reviews

This house is situated on the meadow with an incredible view of the Black Butte itself. Our group fit into the accommodations perfectly. There are additional fees the ranch charges per person per day that we did not anticipate. But otherwise Spring Home 33 was great for our long weekend.

We loved the floor plan with 2 downstairs bedrooms and full bath and laundry and upstairs family room bath and bunk beds. setting is great. Within walking distance to Glaze Meadows. my family of 7 loved it and would stay there again.

This was a wonderful cabin and a great place for 3 couples. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom and the living room was spacious enough to relax in with everyone. Great, newly updated kitchen...covered parking for at least one car. Beautiful large back patio and PLENTY of chairs for other friends and family to come over and hang out. BBQ was newer and working great! Loved this place and will be coming back again!

Outdoor Activities in Black Butte Ranch

The whole family will enjoy the resort's 18 miles of multi-use trails. Biking, hiking, jogging and more are practically right outside your cozy resort cabin. There's also swimming at a number of pools, horseback riding, tennis, canoeing out on Phalarope Lake, and four restaurants practicing farm to table concepts, right at the resort to choose from. Surrounded by the Deschutes National Forest, this location is a natural wonderland of Ponderosa pines, Aspen meadows, abundant wildlife, and pristine streams.

Things to do in Black Butte Ranch

Find a vacation home right on the green of the Glaze Meadow Golf Course for a golf getaway that won't be soon forgotten. This iconic golf course was just renovated in 2012, and new features include challenging elevated greens and square tee boxes. With the picturesque backdrop of the Cascade Mountains, it's safe to say you've never played a course like this. Its sibling course at the resort, Big Meadow, has been a favorite in Oregon for over 30 years.

Day trips from Black Butte Ranch

For a fun day trip, the nearby city of Sisters features galleries, restaurants, and shops in a small town filled with western-style charm and a thriving arts community. Wintertime at Black Butte Ranch brings cold, crisp days with opportunities for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the national forest, or a short 15-mile drive to Hoodoo Ski Area for snowboarding and Alpine skiing.

The beloved and active Bend is a must-see. Unless you're a spelunking enthusiast, you'll never have seen the like of the lava caves in Bend. The food options range from casual diners to superb formal restaurants, and the brewery tours in the area are among the best in Oregon. There's so much to do, you may want to spend more than one day!

The ever-popular town of Sunriver is a favorite among tourists. Whether you feel like viewing the heavens at the Oregon Observatory, splashing the day away at SHARC (Sunriver Homeowner's Aquatic and Recreation Center), or just fishing along the Deschutes River, Sunriver is definitely worth a stop.

No matter if your family spends time playing in the pools, hiking the nearby trails, or simply taking lazy naps on the deck of your sunny Black Butte Ranch vacation rental, this Central Oregon retreat will be one to remember!
