Cozy cabin w/ gourmet kitchen - close to Payette Lake with outdoor firepit!
If you're looking for the perfect base camp for your next great outdoor adventure, then look no further than this McCall home near the shores of Payette Lake.
This home is set in a quiet neighborhood a short walk from Payette Lake, as well as dining and shopping options. Hit the slopes at Brundage Mountain Ski Resort (about nine miles away) and Tamarack Resort (about 22 miles away). During the colder months, we recommend using a 4x4 vehicle to access the home safely.
Crafted wood accents and custom touches run throughout the cabin. Get online with ease thanks to the free WiFi, catch a favorite show or movie on cable TV, or just curl up on the sofa by the wood-burning fireplace. Alternatively, bring along a board game or maybe a deck of cards and some chips to make it a game night with the crew.
Head outside to take in the fresh, crisp air and snap a few pictures of your peek-a-boo lake views. A quick two-mile drive lets you take a walk along the shore and find the perfect flat rock to challenge your friend to a skipping contest.
When it's time to eat, the newly remodeled, gourmet-style kitchen features premium counters, stainless steel appliances, and plenty of space for a few cooks to put dinner together. Put out the dishes like a buffet on the breakfast bar and then gather around the dining room table. After dinner, make some s'mores and tell stories around the outdoor firepit.
If the sun is shining, wake up early to find the perfect fishing spot along the banks of Payette Lake. Rent a boat to get out into deeper waters where the bigger fish will be waiting. Hike along the trails, or rent a mountain bike to explore the tree-lined paths and the quiet neighborhood.
During the winter months, you'll have a wide array of spots to go and enjoy the snow! Head over to Brundage Mountain Resort, with 46 named trails catering to all skill levels.
Treat yourself to a great getaway when you unplug, head out into nature, and book your next trip to this lake-view Idaho home.

We stayed in this home last summer and returned again because our kids loved it so much. It works great as a home base for various McCall activities. The board games were appreciated for some down time, we loved the available firewood for morning and evening fires, and our kids loved playing in the wagon outside.
Enjoyed our stay at the Buckhorn cabin. Cabin was clean and user friendly.
The beds were not comfortable. The only other issue was the request to start a load of laundry. Certainly understand time constraints to clean; although, the cleaning fee should cover expense.
This is a great little home/cabin. Very close to everything in McCall, yet tucked away on a quite dead end street. The kitchen is amazing all brand new and modern. Plenty of room to store your stuff in the huge entry way next to the kitchen too. Would definitely stay here again.
This little gem was in a great location close to the lake and close to a main road. Lake access in a short walk through the security gate was a nice perk! Kitchen was delightfully clean, modern and fully stocked with dishware, utensils, pots and pans, but the refrigerator had a non-operational ice & water dispenser which would have been nice to have on the hot summer days. We were pleased with the ample supply of linens and cleaning/washing supplies. There was much enjoyment with our daily visitations from the several local deer and even a rabbit! The people of the area all were very friendly and we hated to leave. Thank you to the owner for the home away from home!
Everything was great- - comfy bed, great kitchen, super location,
but we wished there had been more channels on the cable tv so we could watch the World Cup and other sporting events, as well as news programs such as CNN or MSNBC. It was definitely the bare bones package!
Lovely cabin equipped with everything . Big rooms and s beautiful kitchen. Very romantic and beautiful. Thank you
This cabin was clean, well-stocked, and located near some great restaurants and shops.
Very clean, comfortable, casual "ski cabin". Great kitchen. Good location (though nothing in McCall is very far away). It was perfect for our late summer family get together with some staying at Shore Lodge just 4/10 mile away.
It felt exactly as depicted in the walk-through preview, so we felt like we knew the place when we walked in. My bed was great. Well set-up for a winter ski vacation and would definitely consider renting it again, especially for that.
Be aware, as others have noted, it is not on the lake and though it's technically a few hundred yards away, it's not a lakefront property.
Very clean. Comfortable beds. Showerhead was a little weak. Great kitchen. Good for small family.
We took three kids under the age of 5 for a family vacation and found this to be a great spot. The two bedrooms are almost directly across from each other so our kids weren't concerned about sleeping in a strange room in a new place since mom & dad were just across the way. We thoroughly enjoyed the private beach access and spent a lot of time building sand castles and splashing in the water. (The walk was a bit much for our kids and their small legs, so we drove to the gate which made it more manageable for them.) The kitchen at the home was great to work in, and though the organization didn't make a ton of sense, we were able to find everything we needed for the two meals we cooked there. Having a washer and dryer accessible was perfect for us, we enjoyed a movie night using the Netflix account provided at the rental, and we made s'mores at the fire pit in the yard. There was plenty of wood provided for guest use which was greatly appreciated. We would happily stay here again.
This is a great cabin, it has all the things that you need. Plenty of parking space and the carport were great for storing our family of 5's bicycles. This was a summer visit, you can walk to the Lodge or ride bikes to downtown for meals or the food store.
We would return to this property in the future.
I wrote above all I have to say,.
Great spot, great beach. Clean, comfortable.
Great little house, loved it, definitely a 5-Star stay! They had everything we needed. Very beautiful Kitchen. Even had somewhere we could do laundry, very cozy home. Perfect location, super close to everything. We occasionally had a couple of visitors outside (deer) beautiful sight for the kids.! Would definitely go back to this location.
It was very clean, the kitchen is updated nicely, and we had enough space for our family of 5 to stay comfortably. We shared the property with a few deer, and our children loved it. Apparently, we also shared yge property with raccoons who chose to tear the previous tennants trash apart and drag it across the yard. Overall, this is a nice property and I vastly prefer it to renting a hotel room. However, I think a couple items in the description need to be revised: First off, there are no queen beds. They are full size. Secondly, "lake views" is a stretch. You can see small pieces of lake through the trees and over the rooftops, but if you're dreaming of watching the sunset on the water, this isn't the property for you. On that note, while the water isn't far away, the nearest public beach is half a mile away, just fyi.
