Peaceful mountain cabin with stunning views, perfect for a quiet getaway!

You and your loved ones can leave all your worries behind thanks to this peaceful cabin in Washington's stunning North Central Cascades! A true sense of remoteness, along with plenty of natural beauty to enjoy, lets you unplug and relax.

This home for seven is five miles from the nearest town, South Cle Elum. It's easy enough to stop by for a meal at Smokey's Bar-B-Que (though four-wheel drive and snow chains may be required during the wintertime), but with nothing other than pine trees and distant mountains surrounding the home, you'll feel serene and secluded.

Shake off the snow from a long day on the slopes and head inside. Wood walls and ceiling beams, along with the crackle of the fireplace and touches like an authentic bear skin on the wall, create a rustic atmosphere that's truly unique to authentic mountain cabins. There's no internet to distract you with stressful work emails, so take a seat with your family and friends on the living room's leather couches and take in some DVDs and VHS tapes on the flatscreen TV.

Contrasting with the overall rustic theme of the home is the kitchen, where stainless steel appliances and a gas range are decidedly modern. The breakfast bar for three is a great place to snack on some appetizers, before heading to the bench-style table near the door for the main course. You can enjoy your food near more cabin memorabilia like a pair of crossed skis and a wood-carved coat rack, or head outside and dine under starlight by the outdoor fire. Wherever you eat, the dishwasher makes cleaning up quick and easy.

Three bedrooms allow seven guests to stay in this home, with a maximum of six adults. Head upstairs to find the master bedroom, featuring a king-size bed and another bedroom with a queen bed. The final bedroom has a twin-over-double bunk bed, perfect for kids. Each of the home's two bathrooms let everyone get nice and refreshed in the mornings, whether it's for playing a game of pool or heading out to explore!

South Cle Elum - and, just across the river, Cle Elum proper - is a fine place to pass the time, with small shops and restaurants waiting for you to visit. As peaceful as relaxing by the Yakima River can be, don't get so lost in the gentle flow that you neglect the surrounding natural beauty. Skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, and more await at Snoqualmie Pass 29 miles to the north, with hiking trails available in the summertime.

Save your dates today and take the first step towards an unforgettable vacation at this Cle Elum cabin! A damage waiver, covering up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the property or its contents, is included in the cost of your reservation.

You must be 21 years or older to rent this property.

The setting was beautiful and we had a family of 5 deer visit us daily throughout the weekend.

We had such a great time at this secluded beautiful cabin! Perfect time to unplug and reconnect 🐻

Really close to service forest road and close to ride my dirtbike! Will come back!!
Caitlin K. Sep 2020
It’s a nice, cozy cabin. There were no DVD players. They’ve been swapped for cable/Netflix/whatnot, which was inconsistent with the description, but still an upgrade rather than a negative. They are very thoughtful with the supplies provided.
Jordan M. Sep 2020
Very clean, good location, and great amenities.
Jordan K. Aug 2020
Our stay was going great until the AC broke in the Cle Elum heat. Not the fault of the owners, but it did put a little bit of a damper on the honeymoon. I would still highly recommend!

This is a beautiful cabin in the woods near Cle Elum WA. It has everything you need to just be comfortable and quiet in a nice setting. The property manager does not do a good job as this property was filthy inside. Dirty bedding (comforter and sheets), dirty carpet, dirty windows, dead insects all over the cabin, no toilet paper, no detergent to clean with, broken smoke detectors (not functioning - no batteries inside - broken case), unresponsive property manager (burned a whole day waiting for a response - then it was 'what did I want to do about it'?) . . this is a great place that, with a bit of attention to proper management and cleaning, could be a fabulous place to stay. Too bad my stay was ruined. . I would go again if the place and its problems were corrected.
Manager response:
Hi, Rik! Thank you for letting us know about your experience. We are so sorry for the oversights you encountered. The smoke detectors have been fixed, we have hired more staff for housekeeping, and we are working on our response time to our guests. We hope to have a chance to impress you in the future!

The place was great and for the kids to run around outside.. the place had everything you need for a weekend getaway....
Jasmin O. Jul 2020
The bedding from the Master bedroom was very dirty and also the bunker beds. Both trashes were filled told manager about it said she was going to take care of it and she didn’t. All she did was refill propane tank since that was also Empty. And then left and didn’t even made contact with us. Left garbage full so we could even dispose the garbage we had from inside the house due to being so full. Cabin was also not very clean some dishes/utensils that we were going to use were dirty.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, Jasmin! We apologize for the cleanliness of the home upon your arrival. Please know we take this feedback seriously and have worked closely with our local staff to deep clean the home and ensure the future cleanings live up to the standard we strive for. We hope for an opportunity to exceed your expectations in the future!

Comfortable beds with large rooms, fun lodge feel!
Lisa C. Jun 2020
Charming well decorated log home. With room to accommodate the average family with all comforts of home. Secluded relaxation with fire pit. Would definitely stay again.
Brandy R. Mar 2020
The beds were extremely comfortable and the views were perfect! I also really appreciated the wood for the fire pit. Well done!

We loved this house it's big enough for a family or friends, nice gathering place. I originally booked another house since this one was to big for the two of us, we moved to this location due to winter storm. Really big windows in the front of the house so you have beautiful views even though we sat by the fireplace. It was snowy out so we didn't spend much time outside but it's a pretty large property to run around on. We will bring another couple with us next year.

Loved the house, the neighborhood, the area & the memories we made.

We recently spent 4 nights at the Bear Crossing and had a wonderful time! The home is beautiful and has rustic charm at the same time. It had an open floor plan that made efficient use of the space. There are soaring windows on the south side which would let lots of light stream in on cold winter days. It is in a quiet rural setting (except for the faint hum of nearby power lines when we were outside on the porch, but we soon didn't even notice the sound) where the lots are large and there is lots of privacy. The internet wasn't working the first night we arrived, but with a call to Vacasa that was quickly resolved the following morning. We highly recommend this place.

Note to owners/Vacasa - Our only complaint (and it's pretty minor) was that the code for the 'backup' key lockbox was not provided with the instructions and did not match the code on the main lockbox. This resulted in our daughter who arrived on the 2nd day being locked out of the home for several hours while we were out on a hike (as we had taken the key from the main lockbox with us).

This cabin is such a hidden gem!
Loved everything about the area of the cabin. Secluded area, but just outside of town, easy drive to town for groceries or wineries. Extremely clean cabin, has everything you may need, and then some. We loved our stay!
Craig G. Sep 2019
Beds super comfy. Kitchen had everything we needed. Nice and quiet. Loved the decor! Would totally stay here again!

Beautiful cabin. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway this is the place. I've never stayed at a place like this that provided all needs in the kitchen and towels galore. Highly recommend you put the key on your key chain. We left ours at a local restaurant they were closed by the time we figured out where it was. Thankful there was q back up key. Take laundry detergent as that is not provided. The property is huge for walks and exploring. Cabin is just a few miles from the grocery store so you can shop before arrival or drop luggage off then shop.
Looking forward to going back.

This home was a quiet getaway for the two of us. It was perfect for what we wanted beds were comfortable and neighbors were far from us. The only criticism we have is that we couldnt get the tv nor DVD player to work, we couldn't find the grill scraper. The pantry was very limited, just salt, pepper and cumin, and nothing in the refrigerator, but again, we made it work. This home was still a PERRFECT getaway!

I stayed here in the peak of the big 2019 snow storm.
Super cozy, warm and spacious enough for several friends to be cooped up with and still not get on each other's nerves.

I didn't see this 'vast VHS collection' (or even a VCR), which might be old info in the cabin's description of amenities, but both TV's are HDMI ready and had no trouble getting gaming systems hooked up and working.

The power lines some other guest whined about are awesome!
During the snow at night, you can see them arc out on the snowflakes (if you get close). And during the day, it just sounds like a running river to me.

Fire pit was stocked, there was plenty of hooks for winter clothes to dry out on. I found the place in 2 feet of snow no problem, parking was not an issue. My friends all agreed that this place would be put on our "short list" of vacation options to return to.
Cara M. Feb 2019
Home was beautiful, cozy and tucked away. Nice comfortable beds, clean linens and spacious for 3 people. We enjoyed our stay here and will be coming back.
Jon O. Feb 2019
Wood receive 5 star but power line noise.
Kyle R. Jan 2019
The house was perfect for four adults. Fully stocked kitchen. In a great location not far from town but far enough to feel nice and some what secluded. Quiet neighborhood. Fresh snow every day.
I took off a star because it was not cleaned up very well definitely in hurry. Garbage's were full so we had to stack our garbage in the laundry room which is also your way to head out but we figured that out. The floors had not been cleaned up and someone was obviously just been there for Christmas as we found quite a few chunks of tinsel/garland and dirty tissues sticking out from under the couch. So upon arrival we swept out the house. Bathroom rugs were not fresh either after realizing the house was not swept I decided to shake out the rugs in the tub to see and they were dirty used mats. This doesn't change how great the home was or how great the people at Vacasa are.
Brandon C. Oct 2018
Clean cabin with nice amenities, and close proximity to both Roslyn and Cle Elum. Early check-in and late check-out were a fantastic benefit through Vacasa.
Julie C. Sep 2018
Overall was a great trip. Just had some mishaps with 7 bags of garbage left on the deck, along with both garbage cans being full. Called the 24 hour number for Vacasa and was on hold for over 30 minutes... I just hung up and cLled the next morning. Called in the morning and was told they would co.e pick it up and credited me $50. Trash was not picked up till after 4pm.
Also the check out check list stated that we were to wash all bedding, mop floors and clean toilets. So when I talked to the gal about the garbage she said now to worry and that is what our cleaning fee was for....
Brian R. Aug 2018
As a small family the house provided all of our needs. We had good parking and all the amenities we needed.
Mary T. Jul 2018
Spacious house with fully equipped kitchen convenient to Cle Elum.
Jacqueline S. Jun 2018
Loved the location and the cabin is super cozy!
William M. May 2018
Really great views, was quite get away
Jon M. May 2018
Vacasa worked very well with us. The deer and elk grazing near us every morning was an unexpected thrill. Very close to the Brick restaurant to make it worth the drive.
Amy M. May 2018
This cabin was perfect for us! A ways out of town but it was worth it! We will be booking again. The cabin was stocked with all cooking necessities and everything worked like a charm:) Things to be aware of, (didn't bother us too much) You are right next to the BIG/MAIN power lines. So if you are comfortable with that, then book!
AND a piece of advice to the owners.... Everything was clean in the cabin except the dishes :( I am sure the company that cleaned the house thought the dishes in the dishwasher were clean and put them away before the next guests arrived. Not too much of a big deal, we put them into the dish washer and ran them through. Other then that we enjoyed the cabin very much! Thanks!!!

Comfortable. Nice location.

A very relaxing time spent with family. The house was well stocked and very clean. Highly recommend
Matthew H. Jan 2018
We really enjoyed our stay here. This was a perfect size for our 2 families each with a 1 year old. The location was great and we hope to be back again!
Sandeep S. Dec 2017
Great location for winter fun. Nice clean and cozy house with almost everything that you would need for your stay. Would love to check it out in summer.
Hector F M. Nov 2017
We don’t understand why they only allow 2 cars 2 car when clearly there’s enough parking for 10 car that was an inconvenience for us because it was 7 of us and we didn’t drove together in one car or two we have small cars and wouldn’t be able to fit all together

The stove oven was ok the microwave was dirty we had to clean it so we can warm up some in there!
Dont get me wrong the cabin iss beautiful inside out just little details
about the furniture in the living room for some reason we think they are too old and sofas have been painted because to of my friends sat down and there was paint all over the pants we tried washing the clothes but the paint didn’t came off so we had to use blankets to put on the sofas so we can sit and not get out clothes with the paint.
Like i said the cabin is beautiful inside out there’s just littke things that caught our attention and for the price not to cheap not to expensive but could get those things improved
Darryl K. Sep 2017
Bear Crossing was a fine cabin, but total lack of empathy with what people would like access to on the first weekend of college and NFL football, is astounding. Even over-the-air TV would have provided a tremendously more enjoyable time here and would have cost the owners nothing after the price of rabbit ears.
Pete W. Aug 2017
This was a great cabin to stay in! The layout of the home was fabulous, with comfortable and visually pleasing decor. We loved the great room, kitchen, and the master bedroom/bath especially. Our teenagers loved that there was a case full of DVD's to choose from, and we appreciated the board games, cards, and game table. There were even laser tag guns and a basket of dress up clothes for little people! There is a comfortable deck and sitting area outside, and the big vaulted ceiling with huge windows is gorgeous. We would recommend this home to any of our friends!

Overall, a great experience. Just a hiccup or two is all--particularly with the extremely hot water issue. I'll rate this house a 5 despite that because no one may have been aware before now.
Russell W. Jun 2017
Nice and quiet. Very peaceful. A very nice getaway spot. Great master suite.
Ronda R. Jun 2017
We loved this cabin and property. Everything was furnished perfectly, loved the upstairs master bedroom and bath. We also enjoyed the fire pit outside. It was furnished better than any rental property we've ever stayed at.
Eliza A. May 2017
This cabin is soo nice, it has three, nicely decorated bedrooms, with nice furniture. It was super clean. Felt like I was at a hotel but in a cabin...
Also, they have a very nice almost new bbq which we LOVED!
The fire pit is also very nice, they even include wood so you don't have to bring your own.
I loved everything about this cabin and the neighbors that live there were super nice too!
