Desert Blue: Mountain-View Pool Retreat in Cathedral City
Desert Blue is a vibrant 4-bedroom, 2-bath escape where a private pool and spa sit beneath open sky, framed by the San Jacinto Mountains. Bold modern art, a plush sectional, and a sunny yellow kitchen give the home a playful, design-forward feel — the kind of place that photographs well and feels even better in person.
Step outside for the real showstopper: a curved pool with an attached spa (heated, with lights for evening soaks), set among palms and desert landscaping, with a shaded pergola patio for lounging when the sun climbs high. It's built for lazy pool days and golden-hour dinners alike, with those mountain views setting the scene from sunrise to sunset.
Inside, two separate living areas — each with its own TV — give everyone room to spread out, while the open kitchen (stainless appliances, dark quartz counters, seating for 4 at the bar) flows into a dining room that seats 8 under a sculptural chandelier. Warm wood-look flooring and colorful gallery-style art run throughout, adding a level of character you don't usually find in a vacation rental.
A 3-car garage and landscaped front yard cover the practical side, while the location handles the fun: minutes from Cathedral City's Downtown Arts and Entertainment District (theaters, casinos, dining), plus golf courses, hiking trails, and can't-miss events like the Hot Air Balloon Festival and Food Truck Fiesta.
Whether it's a family trip built around the pool or a group getaway that ends each night on the patio, Desert Blue delivers comfort, color, and desert views you won't want to leave.
*Pool heat must be purchased at an additional $99/day and needs to be purchased for the entire length of the booking.**
