Except for excursions outside of town, nearly everything Ketchum and Sun Valley have to offer is accessible on foot or by bike. Located just steps from the bike path, you'll be within easy walking distance of many of Ketchum's best restaurants, bars, shops, parks, and recreation areas. The bike path literally crosses the driveway, making it both incredibly convenient and a great place for kids to practice riding.
Mountain bikers can roll directly from the garage to some of the area's premier trails. The extensive Adams Gulch–Fox Creek–Chocolate Gulch–Oregon Gulch trail network begins just 5–10 minutes from the property, with access via the bike path. Lift-served mountain biking on Bald Mountain (Baldy) is also only a 5–10 minute ride away.
For anglers, public access to the Big Wood River is less than a 10-minute walk from the house. Enjoy miles of public fishing easement in both directions, along with a popular river access points. Atkinson Park is less than 100 yards from the front door and features soccer fields, pickleball courts, a splash park, and a playground. Rotary Park is less than a 10-minute walk along the bike path.
The Ketchum Pump Track—a favorite BMX and mountain bike skills course for riders of all ages and abilities—is directly across the street. Bring your A-game. The YMCA, Ketchum Skate Park, and the Church of the Big Wood swimming hole are all within a 10-minute walk on the bike path. If you're visiting in August, the Sun Valley Arts & Crafts Festival (August 14–16, 2026) takes place less than 100 yards from the front door.
Sun Valley's River Run Base Area, home to ski lifts, summer concerts, restaurants, and events, is just a 5–10 minute bike ride or a pleasant 15-minute walk away.
