The house was super cute and the back yard very nice! The house was clean and comfy. I know the place is older, but it could use updating and more storage options for clothes as there are no closets. The hot tub was very relaxing and the area of town was quiet. (Except the very loud garbage truck at 6 am Monday morning...but that's life!) Our main complaint was the very low water pressure that was in both showers! Barely a trickle! (That could be easily improved with newer shower heads) and the slider door on the back shower didn't stay on very well. Another suggestion is to get a regular size coffee pot! With 6 people in the house, the tiny 4 cup coffee pot was not enough! (Also its a Cuisinart...so that needs a special filter) Good news, there is an amazing Cuban coffee place a block away :)
Overall I loved the house! It just needs a few improvements!

Perfect spot for 3 couples. A unicorn with 3 king beds. Nice cold A/C and warm hot tub on private patio. We rented a golf cart which was the perfect way to get around.

This is a nice clean little house close to Duval. Walking distance to just about anything. This was our 2nd stay here. Beds are comfortable. The only issue is with the bedrooms and lack of anywhere to store clothing. No closet, dresser, shelf etc. So living out of luggage is only option. So it would be nice if there were at least a little cabinet. Also would be nice if they put a mirror in the bedrooms. Other than that, it was a convenient and comfortable place to spend time in Key West.

The house is located right off the main strip (Duval Street). Walking access to everything you could want! Bars, restaurants, beaches, rentals for activities. Stayed for my sisters bachelorette. There was 7 of us and it was so roomy and relaxing! Would stay again!
Michael M. Aug 2021
Great location right off Duval! 3 couples and the house was perfect for our stay!
Sarah S. Aug 2021
Very nice place to stay and explore the keys. Walking distance to almost everything. The only downside was the pull out couch- very uncomfortable.
Kelly F. Aug 2021
Awesome place. Had a slight issue and mgmt fixed it in 20 minutes. Very impressed with everything. Location is IDEAL .
Erin L. May 2021
The Amelia house was perfect! Everything was clean and the beds/pillows were so comfortable. The location is prime! I highly recommend The Amelia house.

A nice little 3 bedroom place about in the middle of Key West. Just off Duval St and very walkable to most everywhere. Definitely a keeper.

Perfect for a vacation weekend

We just recently stayed in the Amelia house and really enjoyed it. The location was great and within walking distance to most everything. The house itself was older but so cute. It was stocked with just about everything you need. A toaster would have been an added bonus as there is not an oven. No complaints though, we will be back again!

I stayed at the Amelia House with my family and it was in a perfect spot for everything that we planned to do in Key West; we were right in heart of everything but set back enough so that we didn’t hear all the noise at night. The staff was very helpful when we needed something. The kitchen was small but it fit our needs. The bedrooms were perfect and well spaced out from each other and the living room was nice as well. It was nice having our own patio and hot tub and a large table with chairs out back to use after a long day. It was really nice having two bathrooms because there was 6 of us in the house. It was a cute place and my little dog named Oreo felt right at home. I can’t wait to go back to Key West and stay at the Amelia House again!

Our group enjoyed staying at Amelia for the cleanliness, and very good location off of Duval St. There were some issues and could use some maintenance and/or refreshing: outdoor porch fans inoperable, no washer and dryer, some drains in bathrooms slow, and TV remotes not available for each unit. We did request extra blankets from housekeeping because some of our party were too cold at night with the AirCon which works very well and was appreciated by most of our party. Unfortunately it took housekeeping a couple of days to fulfill our request with apologies for the delay. Overall a good stay and a good value.
Manager response:
Thank you for staying with us, Eva. We are glad you enjoyed this cottage and we appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention. We will work with our local team to ensure these items are corrected for future guests, and we hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!

This was a very nice little house. Very close to everything. It was nice and clean with comfortable beds. We were only in the house 3 nights, but would definitely stay again.
Nichelle C. Jan 2020
The house was clean and in a perfect location to sites, food, and drinks! Quiet area but not far from fun!

This house is a great deal, and ideal for a couple or groups of friends. We spent Christmas week here and loved it! The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are super comfortable. Literally just a few steps out the front door and you’re on Duval Street, but once you’re ready for a quiet evening, you can avoid all the party noise in this house. Highly recommended! We will definitely stay here again.
Brittney M. Dec 2019
Great location on the quiet end of Duval. The house is definitely small and old, but has everything you need. If it had some updates on the inside I would definitely give it 5 stars.
Jeffrey C. Dec 2019
Amelia House was perfect. Right near the heart of Duval Street District. On a quiet cul-de-sac so it was right up our alley. The house had big bedrooms (for Key West). Big comfy beds and all the amenities we needed. Only thing we brought was a Keurig coffee maker for convenience and ease of cleaning. Nice outside area. Will rent this again!!
Stephen P. Oct 2019
Roosters and rum bar as well as salty angler!
Jennifer B. Oct 2019
Perfect location! Clean, quiet home.
Stacey C. Oct 2019
Loved the location and the home was perfect with three king beds! Great bars and restaurants close by!
TIMOTHY R. Sep 2019
Amelia House was clean and comfortable. Even though it had three bedrooms, it only has two baths. For a family this would work well but it would not work well for three couples. As it was our third couple cancelled and we used the middle room as a luggage room. Initially we could not get the TVs to work properly but a call to the Vacasa 800# and by the time we got back to the house late afternoon, it was fixed. Hot tub was great. All in all it was a nice place to stay.
Christi W. Aug 2019
The location is perfect and the house screams Key West. We loved it!
Neil N. Aug 2019
We loved the location. The house was perfect for us! Very comfortable and well appointed! Would stay there again.
Kelly C. Aug 2019
This house is perfect for any group! The location was perfect right off Duval Street and parking was included! Let's not mention how comfy the beds are and that there are TWO full bathrooms!
Megan P. Apr 2019
This bungalow looks exactly like the pictures. The backyard was great and the location was awesome. You're right off Duval street with easy access to bars, restaurants, and shop but still on a quiet street. It was a quick walk to the Southernmost point and maybe a mile walk to Mallory square for the sunset and the really busy part of Duval street.
My one major issue with this property was none of the bedrooms have a dresser, only hangers. It's not easy to live out of a suitcase with 2 kids even with the luggage rack provided. The hangers are useless for shirts, t-shirts, and bathing suits and it was evident by the dust on the hangers that no one really uses them.
Tim S. Feb 2019
The house was just right for us.
Christine K. Feb 2019
Great location, clean, king beds in all rooms. Went with some family from Hungary and they loved it, Hemingway house and southern most point are 0.2 miles away.
Yeendy G. Feb 2019
Very centric location, easy to book, great housekeeping service, I will book it again
Pat W. Dec 2018
It is close to the hub of the city. It was a little shabby but clean. We had problems with the AC but they came right away to fix it. Really fun to have the lanai and hot tub.
thomas r. Nov 2018
The place was efficient, clean and right off Duval. Theres one parking space included which hugs the front porch and others are available via city parking.
Ron L. Oct 2018
We had a great time. The house was in an awesome location. We would definatly come back.
Melanie C. Oct 2018
House was exactly as described and as in pictures. The location was fabulous being less than a block off of Duval Street. House is very clean and the rental agent was easy to work with. Having 3 king size beds works for our party.
Christine T. Sep 2018
Close to the Southernmost point, at the quieter end of Duval Street but still close enough to walk or Uber to the action. A lot of space for 6 comfortably (I wouldn't recommend the sleeper sofa).
Carla C. Aug 2018
Loved the location, plenty of room. Clean, highly recommended staying there.
Sheryl C. Jul 2018
Although the House was clean and the sleeping arrangements were ideal, there was no gas grill, no oven, and only two burners in he house. We were disposable that the gas grill was removed and we were not notified. With no oven either , we were forced to eat out every day. This was costly for our family of six.
Manager response:
We apologize if this guest was expecting a grill. We do not advertise one for this home. Thank you!
Lisa G. Jun 2018
Amelia house is a small old house located just off Duval street. That is what you are paying for. You don’t need to drive anywhere if you are looking to hang out and be a tourist and eat, drink and walk the neighborhood. If you want luxury this is not your location lace. Six of us friends opted for this for location and were not disappointed. It was clean and comfortable. The AC worked and there was even a hot tub although it was too hot to enjoy it since we were there in summer.
Thomas P. Jun 2018
Prompt customer service and good maid service
Marie D. May 2018
This house is small but fine for us (three couples) as we spent most of the time outside and out and about on town. It was clean and the cleaning service and refreshed towels were a nice touch. The two front bedrooms does not have any drawers and just a few hangers for clothes. So you have to live out of your suitcase or use the closet in the shared jack-and-jill bathroom. We really like the back patio and used the hot tub a lot. Took one star off because the description (and pictures) said that the back had a BBQ and it did not so we were not able to grill as planned.
Robert R. May 2018
We wanted to be near wedding activities close to Southernmost Resort. Also close to the beach. For 3 adult couples it was perfect to have 3 king beds. No fighting over who gets stuck with the bunk bed.
William H. Apr 2018
Clean and safe location, beds were very comfy, never needed towels, towel service came regularly, we stayed with our 5 adult kids and it was very roomy they couldn’t quit talking about it, would definitely stay there again, and I highly recommend it.
Robyn L. Apr 2018
The house was perfect for our three-generation stay. Walking distance to everything that everyone wanted to do. Very comfortable and peaceful.
Raquel G. Mar 2018
The shuttle to and from the airport was very helpful! The Amelia house was a great location. Easy to walk to everything on Duval.
Ben F. Feb 2018
It's a classic old key West house but it was just right for our group. Just feet off main Street with everything. Yet quite.
Lauren S. Feb 2018
Easily accommodated a group of 6 women for the weekend. Hot tub was a delight. Cleaning ladies delivers fresh towels frequently but were not invasive. Neighbors were friendly and proximity to Duval was great; far enough to be quiet at night, close enough to walk everywhere. This is not a luxury property but authentic and comfortable Key West experience.
Steve L. Jan 2018
We had three couples- my 20 something sons and their others, and us. Perfect location, cute little cottage. Easy walk everywhere, only drove our rental once to the Beach. Could have easily biked it. No need for a car. AC worked well as did the heat- needed both during our week. Place was clean, hot tub was Hot, beers were cold. Local dining spots were great and close. Loved our stay!
Page W. Jan 2018
The location is great, at a dead end almost at the corner of Duval. The house itself however is mediocre at best. There are no dressers or closets or room to put more than one suitcase in each room, so be prepared to live out of your suitcase. The floors are very dirty and you will have black feet or socks.
Manager response:
We have had the floors professionally steam cleaned. Thank you!
Debra C. Dec 2017
Fun place to go, nice quiet place to stay
