A fun fact about this neighborhood is that David Lance Goines lived at the end of the block - he was the Berkeley printmaker whose art nouveau style influenced the style and culture of the Bay Area and beyond during the late 60s and 70s and still defines the look of the city of Berkeley in many ways. There are a few of his prints up around the house in his honor.
