Riverfront, dog-friendly, side-by-side cabins on 200 acres with fishing ponds

Tucked at the base of towering evergreens, these side-by-side River Cabins offer a truly memorable setting on the banks of the Middle Fork Feather River. As two of the five homes that make up the spectacular Lost Sierra Ranch, these cabins are a wonderful escape for two couples, two small families, or anyone looking to fish, hike, or ski in a majestic natural landscape.

Lost Sierra Ranch is a 200-acre swath of private land, stunningly situated between the quaint and historic towns of Graeagle (11 miles) and Quincy (16 miles). Across the grounds, you'll find four fishing ponds and over a mile of the Middle Fork Feather River where you can hook the native rainbow and brown trout. Go crawfish-hunting with your kids, play horseshoes and cornhole, or spend your days swimming and floating in the river. Bring your own horses to lodge at the stables, your bows and arrows to practice with the on-site archery targets, and your cross-country skis and snowshoes for winter sports outside your door.

In the immediate area, hike or hunt across Plumas National Forest's 1.1 million acres or practice your drive at one of the nearby golf courses. Whitehawk Ranch, Nakoma Resort, Graeagle Meadows, Plumas Pines, and Grizzly Ranch are all within 25 miles.

Each of these two riverfront cabins has its own covered porch, but they're also connected by a deck where you can watch for birds, deer, even the occasional bear or mountain lion. Inside each cabin, you'll be greeted by a single-story living space with a wood-burning fireplace, where you can toast your toes and stream movies (using your own accounts). Prepare meals using the gas grill and each cabin's kitchenette, complete with a fridge, a stovetop, a microwave, and a toaster oven, but no traditional oven or dishwasher. There's no AC or washer/dryer, but you will have the comforts of baseboard heat and complimentary WiFi.
