In addition to enjoying the lake, explore the nearby Ice Age National Trail and/or Devil’s Lake State Park for hiking, stunning views, and recreational activities. Take the short-cut on the historic Merrimac Ferry, which is only 3.6 miles away and generally operates 24/7 from April through November and sometimes December, weather permitting. Treat yourself to Super-Premium Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream at the Ferry Landing Concessions on the opposite side of the lake, on your way to or back from your outdoor adventures.
