We like the comfortable bed and river views. Floors should be cleaned better and outdoor plastic chairs near firepit are dangerous on slope down to river. Otherwise overall a good stay.
Loved the rivers edge. Sitting by the river or on the porch was perfect. Cabin is at end of road and there was not any traffic. Hot tub was a bonus. Felt good to relax after checking out the big foot museum and suspension bridge
The trickling stream on riverbank edges was so peaceful and relaxing. The hot tub was a great added addition to the relaxation.
Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. We took the scenic trip suggested by a booklet the owner had left in the unit and once we got back to the cabin and sat down by the firepit with our little fire going, we said, "this is the most perfect view there is". We also really enjoyed the suspension bridge, a must if you are there and make sure you go to Mercier Orchards and pick the apples!
Such a cute cabin! We absolutely loved it! It was so quiet and peaceful. We spent a lot of time on the porch listening to the river. It was definitely the relaxing getaway we hoped for!
First impressions are lasting impressions. This was our first time utilizing Vacasa and the experience was great. The cabin was very clean, perfect location on the water, close to town, a lot of outdoor activities, a small town but the people are super friendly.
Loved the location, the river and the house
We loved it! Beautiful place and the river and hot tub was the best!
The best thing is the river
We just loved the peaceful sound of the river flowing just outside and the peaceful setting along the river. A relaxing evening in the hot tub on the screened in porch was the perfect ending after a day of exploring the area and the scenic mountain drives.
This is a nice home located across from the Nacoco river . very comfortable and easy access to blue ridge city and surrounding area.
House was set up with new rockers and dining room chairs. Very nice we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Weather was in the high 30’s in the morning. Saw 4 deer 2 different times. Can’t wait to go again.
Loved everything except the neighbors leaving their bright floodlights on all through tje night
Relaxing beautiful cabin. However pics make it seem like no neighbors and there is on one side Friday night they were partying pretty hard killed the peace and quiet. Would be nice for privacy blinds at least on neighbor side since they could watch down at us in the hot tub. Place needs new knives as all were dull but atmosphere other than Friday night was amazing place was beautiful. Grill needs fix Maintenece did fix it some. Would go back again and stay longer than 3 days if I could
It is a lovely home; very clean and beautifully decorated. The renovated master bathroom is to die for. The beds were comfortable and we slept very well.
The view is as great as depicted in the photo. It was heavenly to have our afternoon happy hour sitting by this gorgeous river. The place is at the end of the road so we had virtually no traffic going by us. We also saw a number of deer when we would take a walk down the lane.
Beautiful lil spot! Home was nice, clean & everything you could need was there. My family loved it!!!
We enjoyed this home very much. It's a little older but heck I am pushing my 50s and so...so am I! It was clean (few spiders buy that is expected in the woods) . An amazing porch to sit on right by the river. They have thought of all the little extras needed to make a stay enjoyable. I will say...make sure you have your phone or the entry password written down as thr door will lock on its own somehow without pressing a button. If I had not had my phone with me on the porch we would have been locked out.. so plan ahead we wrote down the # (which they change from guest to guest) like someone else did and put it outside when we were at home and outside just as a precaution . Otherwise, we loved it here!
The cabin was as advertised, had all one would want and located on the bank of the Toccoa. Enjoyed our visit although the fishing was not good due to the high and fast river.
The parking arrangements are tenuous and the cabin is dated, needs some updating.
Hi William, we are happy that you enjoyed your visit. We appreciate your feedback about the home. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again very soon.
River's Edge is located right on the water with a beautiful view morning, day and night! We enjoyed breakfast by the water and relaxing evenings in the hot tub. The cabin is about a 15 minute drive from downtown Blue Ridge which has good food and nice local shops to explore. We also took advantage of a ziplining tour and hiking trials that were near by. River's Edge was very clean and the kitchen was stocked with all the necessities if you choose to make your own meals. The only downsides were the parking was a bit challenging with a truck and the furnishing are a bit dated BUT not a big deal. We enjoyed our weekend getaway!
We loved the view and the porch, but the cabin wasn’t totally clean. There were places that hadn’t been dusted in a long time, and the floors need a deep clean. The front of the dishwasher kept falling off, and we saw a few bugs in the kitchen. It’s a cozy cabin but needs some major TLC.
Thank you for staying with us! We are happy to hear you enjoyed your home. Thank you for sharing your feedback and for bringing some items to our attention that may need some TLC. I have forwarded your feedback to the local staff so they can work to improve the house for future guests. Please know that our guest services team is available 24 hours a day to assist should any concerns arise during your visit. We hope you choose to stay with us again!
we love it here.used to come every year until prices went sky high.the clean up fee i understand, but have never understood the other fees they now charge. will try to come back.
Hi Gary, thank you for your feedback. Please keep an eye on the calendar as prices do flex up and down, based on availability and the dates that a guest is looking into booking. Additionally, we have agents available 24/7 to assist with any billing questions that you may have. We hope to host you again soon!
Rustic ambience and the Toccoa River a short hop across the street. Quaint cabin well-maintained. Tranquility galore......
River’s Edge is a cozy vacation home with a very nice interior. It has comfortable furniture and good beds.
River's Edge is beautiful, immaculate and has a great view of the river, as the name implies. It is a great place.
Note: If you want a bonfire you will need to bring your own wood. At least when we were there this past weekend, they did not have wood for us to use. No big deal, we bought some locally, but just something to be aware of.
This house is right on the river at the end of the road, so it’s quiet and secluded, with only the sound of the river in the background. It’s a perfect escape from the real world, and we really enjoyed our stay.
Comfortable and clean inside! The screen porch and view of the river priceless! Best experience yet staying in Blue Ridge - we will definitely be planning to stay here again!
The home has a tin roof. There is a large hickory tree that hangs over the home. All day and all night squirrels drops hickory nuts on the roof. It is extremely loud and annoying.
Thank you for staying with us! We are sorry to hear you encountered issues with some four-legged friends while in the home. We hope this did not impact the enjoyment of your stay. We hope to host you again soon!
Beautiful cabin, the screened-in porch my favorite. This cabin sits at very end of road before it goes private so very little traffic. Very comfortable Beds and very clean. A wonderful get away.
The spot at end of dirt road is amazing. Very quiet and peaceful, even though neighbors aren't far away. (and the ones we met were very nice!) Staff was very attentive when the newly installed Roku was not working when we arrived. Fixed early the next day. Our only complaint was that the screened porch was pretty grimy with lots of spiders. A good power washing to the porch and the exterior would have taken care of that. But the quiet spot outweighed the spiders! We'll go back.
The location is fabulous! I would stay there again just to be on the river. The master bed was comfortable. It was very clean and that’s very important to me. You can see that this is an older cabin but has been updated in several areas inside. We loved the screened porch. We spent most of our time on the porch in rocking chairs or at the edge of river grilling. All in all we would stay again.
This is such a hidden gem. Beautiful scenery and spacious and clean cabin. We loved sitting in the porch and listening to the sound of the river running. Our kids became s’mores making masters ;-)
The pantry is not stocked if you are planning to do some cooking. However there are grocery stores within 20 minutes away.
We had a wonderful time at River's Edge and hope to stay here again. The location is perfect; located on a private riverfront road right off of Aska. We brought our mountain bikes and hit the trails that are only 1-2 miles away. The Aska Trails are AWESOME!! We enjoyed grilling on the screened porch that is steps from the river. We spent hours in the rocking chairs watching the water. Be sure to bring your fishing poles and firewood!
The house is very well appointed with all the comforts of home. The beds and linens are plush. The home is stocked with travel size toiletries, ample paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper, laundry detergent, coffee filters, etc. The home is an older home that sits on the side of a hill, so there is a basement-like smell, which did not bother us a bit, but could be an issue for someone who is super sensitive. There was a dehumidifier running, and there were NO signs of mold or mildew. The cabin and its furnishings have a more rustic vibe, rather than a luxury vibe, which is exactly what we wanted out of our Blue Ridge stay.
We brought our own kayaks and put in at Toccoa Valley Campgrounds for a small fee and left our car there, which is conveniently down Aska Rd about 4 miles. We kayaked back to the house (we had two cars) and stopped at the Toccoa Riverside Restaurant along the way, then took our other car back to TVC to get our vehicle there. It was so much fun!! You could do the same thing with tubes as well. Likewise, you could tube from the house and take out at the Aska Rd rapids. There is a gravel lot here where you could leave a car if you chose. It would not be a terrible walk back to the cabin.
The virtual tour of the home is exactly accurate. The area where the home is located is private, but there is a neighbor right next-door (also a rental cabin) that sits up a little higher, giving less privacy as their porch looks right into the screened in porch/hot tub area. This is not a problem, but this home is not secluded, if that's what you are looking for. The hot tub is great and overlooks the river. Basically, the screened in porch of this house makes it an amazing place to stay!
We had a wonderful time and really hope to return there! The location is superb.
We stayed in this cabin mostly as an overflow to the cabin next door since our party was so large. It is definitely rustic. There were some type of small beetles on the stove daily and also in the bathroom by the sinks. The bathmat in the double bedroom was nasty. The washcloths were like sandpaper. We are not picky people and we can overlook a lot but these are things that are easily fixable and should be addressed in my opinion.
Hi, William! Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your stay. We do apologize for the disappointments you experienced while being our guest. This unit is on quarterly pest control, but they will happily come out to do additional treatments when necessary. We are in the process of updating the linens and terries at all of our homes. We appreciate you staying with us and hope to see you again!
the cabin was nice all but the nasty dishes and the lack of parking almost went in the river cause there is no room to turn around thank God I had a 4x4 truck
We apologize if housekeeping missed checking the dishes. We will remind them to do this. Thank you for staying with us!
My family and I had a wonderful time at the cabin. There is nothing like going to sleep with the sound of the river. Will definitely go back.
The views from the cabin were beautiful and the town of Blue Ridge is great! My husband and I want to move there in the future. The cabin was nice but we felt house keeping could have done a better job of cleaning prior to our arrival. Most of the dishes were dirty and we had to wash them before we used them. A few other things could have been cleaner, but all in all, it wasn't enough to stop us from having a wonderful stay and trip.
Thank you for sharing your feedback, Jessica. We are glad that overall you enjoyed this cabin. We apologize if cleanliness left much to be desired, and we will follow-up with our housekeeping team to see that future cleans are completed to our standards. We hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!
The place is beautiful with the sound of running water. Absolutely will visit yearly.
We had the best time and were so happy we splurged a bit more to be right on the water! It was absolutely beautiful and to hear that rushing water sound at any time was just so peaceful. The cabin was perfect for us (family of 4) and we loved the screen porch and hot tub - so relaxing to have meals on the porch, even in chilly weather. Master was spacious and the bathroom was great. My older son enjoyed his own bedroom and bath and my youngest used the pull-out sofa. Kitchen had everything I needed and I used pots, pans, cookie sheets, coffee maker and more. I can’t think of anything lacking! My husband and son spent hours in the water fishing (in waders - it was cold and In the 40s/50s) and on the river bank. They also drove up the road and found plenty of other places to throw in some lines. They didn’t have any luck catching anything (probably because they didn’t get out early enough in the morning :-) - but as my husband said, they caught some unforgettable scenery. Fall leaves, cozy cabin and that beautiful river - it made for a great weekend. We enjoyed every minute! We also loved the downtown Blue Ridge area. Lots of shops, restaurants and more. We can’t wait to come back and would love nothing more than to spend some time in the summer at this cabin! Beautiful location, great cabin - highly recommend.
House was clean. Listening to the river great. Shopping excellent.
We loved our stay, and will be back for sure
If you're looking for a secluded comfortable place to stay this is it. Loved being right on the river! The sound of the rushing water was very soothing as we relaxed on the screened porch. The hot tub was great! The home is older but has all the modern amenities. It's rustic surroundings are very inviting. Don't forget to leave a not about your stay in the homes journal. Loved reading about where other people came from and what they enjoyed about the area.
Great place to escape the city and enjoy quiet and peace.
Loved the sound of the river. The cabin was comfortable for 4 people. The spa was enjoyable after spending the day Tubing down the river, kayaking, zip line and water rafting.
Love it being riverfront and quiet. The river was great. Loved be able to tune from the canoe launch to our cabin.
We enjoyed our weekend at the cabin. The river is right off the back porch. We fished, caught 4 nice trout for dinner, and never left the area. Great scenery, serenity, the sound of rushing water - really made for a fun and relaxing getaway.
Rivers edge. Great view. Easy access to water. Just a few feet and there it is. Very clean house. Well stocked kitchen. Screened in porch. No big hills to climb to get to it. Would love to come back again.
Very clean, great location. Will come back.
The cabin was very clean inside and the beds and pillows were comfortable. We enjoyed the screened-in porch overlooking the river. The sound of the running water was soothing. Had a relaxing evening by the fire pit one night also.
Sitting on the porch listening to the river.
We loved staying at the cabin and used the hot tub, the gas grill, and had a campfire out back! We also fished in the river. A very relaxing stay. Also, got good directions from check-in e-mail, which was definitely needed to get to this remote location. Also, walked around Blue Ridge, GA, a beautiful town about 20 minutes away...
I love the place the location was beautiful the cabin was neat comfortable and quiet great place to relax ..........
I loved being right on the River and being able to have a fire in the fire pit right on the river bank. And the screened in porch was Awesome and the Hot Tub was really nice
Just what I needed! The sound of the river was so nice, you don’t even need a sound machine :-)
All is provided in the nice cabin, one could not ask for more , what a relaxing place this is, with the river so close and the view is unbeatable. Excellent location as far as the river and the town is concerned .
Very relaxing experience! The cabin is always well stocked/prepared and clean! We will return at least twice a year to relax and recharge ! We thank the homeowner!
Our family had a lovely time at the riverside cabin, even in the dead of winter. Hikes, hot tubs, fire places, and chatting by the talkative Taccoa... it was perfect. The management company, Vacasa, is definitely a group Id trust to use again. Instructions were clear and we appreciated the accommodating touches. Thanks!
Just there for a couple of days but very quiet and relaxing. Enjoyed the hot tub on the porch. Cabin is not a five star resort if that is what you are looking for but was clean and comfortable. The river was beautiful to watch.
Amazing location, very clean venue, private, quiet, comfortable, good price, and close proximity (within 20 minutes or less) from grocery stores / fire wood / gas stations / restaurants / shopping, and downtown Blueridge.
This riverfront cabin was truly relaxing and charming, and has all of the amenities to be comfortable. I will absolutely be staying here again.
Enjoyed our stay by sitting just feet from river- very relaxing!
3rd or 4th time here at this cabin. Really loved the upgrade to the one bathroom. It needed it., and the new mattress felt alot better. Thanks can't wait to come back! Glenn&Pam
The house was more than adequate. It might benefit from airing out between rentals as it was a bit musty. We liked how the glass doors on the porch slid completely out of the way into a pocket. Proximity to the river couldn’t have been better. Plenty close enough to groceries and to town.
Relaxing and peaceful. Great place to just get away
We stayed here 4 years ago. Great getaway when you want to spend alone time with your husband. Only thing I missed was the bench swing that is no longer there. Enjoyed the bonfire and sitting by the river!
Enjoyed sitting on front porch and watching the river flow
The view here is wonderful, right on river. Cabin was fairly clean inside and furniture was comfortable. Bathrooms looked to have been recently remodeled. Internet speed was terrible; tested at less than 1 mbps. Complaint to management about internet went unanswered. Bed linens and towels were old, discolored and frayed. Cookware was old and in poor condition. A lot of spider webs present, especially in the windows.
This cabin is perfect for two couples or a small family. Great screened deck overlooking the Toccoa River, comfortable furnishings, and ample room for hanging out. It’s a short drive to downtown Blue Ridge, and a family fishing center is a short walk away. We enjoyed quiet reading on the deck, fishing, charades by the fire, lunches out and dinners in. Access to the cabin requires two short flights of stairs.
Great location right on the river. Loved the large screened-in porch.
My Daughter, her Husband, her 2 elementary school age boys and I had a wonderful stay at the Sundance Rivers Edge Cabin. The cabin's kitchen had everything we needed to make it feel like a family home. The cabin was clean and ready for our visit. We enjoyed our days and nights there. It was just the right size for us. We explored a few trails and a waterfall while we were in the Blue Ridge area. I hope we will visit again.
This was our first visit to Rivers Edge since the updates which are wonderful. We will be back. The Everett's
Nice home and area. Could use a few small things like a ceiling fan in other bedroom and some new pots and pans. Also outside furniture.
Rivers Edge never disappoints. We come here 2-3 times each year. The cabin is always clean and very comfortable. We really enjoy sitting on the porch in the rockers and listening to the river. We have always gotten very fast service from the staff at Sundance. Ray T
We always enjoy the Toccoa River. The best part of the stay in this cabin was that it is a little off the main road, so you can hear the river all the time.
The cabin was wonderful and was perfect in every way. We will definitely be calling to come back to your awesome cabin. Thank you so much for the great memories . Barbara was so nice and very helpful in every way.
Great little cabin. Very private and relaxing
me and my friends loved staying at this cabin and would definitely stay again. we didn't even have to leave the cabin much because it was so relaxing.
