We stayed for a week in September and had a wonderful time. I liked that the house was close to downtown Breckenridge, just a mile or so up the road. The house had plenty of room for everyone and felt very comfortable. The hot tub was nice, although we did notice that wasps were using the structure for a nest when we first arrived. I called Vacasa and had it removed the next day with no further problems. The house is a bit outdated in some areas, and could use a little upgrade. For example, two exterior door handles actually fell off when we first used them. My kids really enjoyed the pool table, although it did feel a bit removed from the rest of the house since you must traverse through the garage to get there. Additionally, I would've liked the house to have been a little cleaner, dusty in some areas, and the fact that the previous renter's garbage was left behind in the garage was a turnoff. Despite these minor drawbacks I thought that overall the house was great for our purpose and glad we stayed there.
Manager response:
Adam, thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your time at Robbers Nest. We apologize for the oversight regarding the cleanliness. We have passed along your feedback to the local housekeeping staff and Manager so they are aware of your comments. We hope to see you again soon!

This house was great but for a few minor deficiencies. It’s spacious and both decks have great views. 20 min walk to town.

This is our fourth vrbo in the area and is by far the best one yet. The location is fantastic, easily walkable to Breck in the summer. Rooms are spread out and and private - lots of living space for a large family

This was a very disappointing property. Pros: Great “bones” of a house, nice quiet location, hot tub, decks, internet speed and main TV. Cons: House stuck in the 1990s and worn. It was not clean (i.e., bugs in light fixtures, extremely dirty top of fridge, dirty trash bin exterior, dusty (everywhere), dirty glassware, dirty windows – white/water spots all over, disgusting bath mat (basement bathroom), sticky/dirty table cover – which we thought we would just remove – but no – the glass on the table was shattered (serious safety concern for all – but especially children (none in our group)), dog hair on rugs
and couches, disgustingly dirty oven mitt, grime in & wad of hair in the downstairs shower, comforter covered in hair and dirt (downstairs), comforter with streak of blood (non-master main level), Master bedspread top 6” discolored/dirty, blanket downstairs covered in dog hair, mattress pad in master closet covered in hair. Several windows that detach from their connection when opened, downstairs - broken mirror leaning against the wall, broken vase on the table, 3 unexpected “drop ins” (roofer giving an estimate, hot tub service & someone to take pictures of the house & TV in the bunk room did not work. Additionally, upon check in – all we had were bath towels; no hand towels, washcloths or kitchen towels….I texted Vacasa and they delivered them later the same day. All of this and on Tuesday I received a call from “Shane” who said he received a disturbing phone call from the owner regarding pets on the property (and stated a neighbor had called the owner) – and that he may have to send someone out to confirm no pets – because the property is not pet friendly and the owner has had bad experiences with pets. I returned Shane’s call and informed him that the property was listed as pet friendly and that I made 4 attempts to contact Vacasa and tell them how many and when the pets and when they would be on the property. He advises he would check with the listing company……I never heard back from him….wow – great customer service. Additionally, the property is secluded enough – that I seriously doubt any neighbor called and I believe there is an (un-disclosed) camera on the property. Also – I received an email before arrival touting the “Introducing Vacasa Premium Clean” in response to Covid-19….let me just say I would hate to see what it was before this!
Manager response:
Hi, Bret! Thank you for letting us know about your stay. We are so sorry to read there were some issues with your stay. We now have a new housekeeping company to take care of our homes in the area, and they are doing great. The bath mats, bedding, and mattress pads have been replaced, the glass table has been repaired, and we are not aware of any cameras on the property. We will be looking into the window to see what needs done. Thanks again!

From the moment we drove up to this cabin in the woods, we knew it would be a magical weekend. The surroundings are private, yet close to town. The cabin itself has plenty of room for humans and dogs to spread out and be comfortable. The hot tub with the view of the mountains was truly the most magical part of the weekend. We spent almost 9 hours in there and enjoyed the fresh mountain air. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a mountain getaway in paradise!

Great location

Very nice place close to town, parking isn't ideal if you drive a larger SUV - getting turned around to head back down the hill took some time, but overall great place to stay. There are stairs so if you have little ones, you'll want baby gates - we purchased some at a nearby walmart.
