Bay & Harbor View Home with High-Speed WiFi, Private Washer/Dryer, & Board Games

Fun comes easily at this charming home by the bay! Built in 1946, this lovely home is stocked with a Blu-Ray player for anything you bring from home. That's to say nothing of the board games and the round table in the dining room perfect for tabletop gaming - not least because of the lovely view! Indeed, you can enjoy a view of the bay and harbor from several locations inside or outside on the deck. You'll enjoy cooking together in the expansive full kitchen, which includes a prep island and plenty of stone countertop space. The downstairs workspace can function as a command center, or guests with remote work or schooling can use it (and the upstairs desk workspace!) to finish things up before heading to the beach.

The bedrooms of this home are all spread out, perfect for groups looking to enjoy their own space and come together to have fun. The first bedroom is to the right when you come through the door and is right next to this floor's living room. This room features a backyard view and has a full bathroom with a shower/tub combination just next door. Head down the stairs off the living room and the second bedroom will be straight ahead. Across the way, the third bedroom (the main bedroom of the home) features a lovely modern sleigh bed, a backyard view, a spacious closet, and a spacious en suite bathroom with two vanity spaces, a jetted tub, a standalone shower, and a direct entrance to the hall. Two flights up, the fourth bedroom is to the left (across its own small hallway segment). Past the lovely reading nook, the fifth bedroom features a sleigh bed, desk workspace, and a front yard view. The bathroom just next door can serve the guests of this room.

What's nearby:
The Newport Historic Bayfront is just under a half mile away, and guests can enjoy attractions up and down SE Bay Boulevard. Enjoy learning about local wildlife at the Oregon Coast Aquarium just under two-and-a-half miles away. Nye Beach is just over one mile away for those ready to hit the beach. Of course, any visitor to Newport should enjoy some chowder at the original Mo's Seafood & Chowder (just over a half mile away).

Thie older house sits above the harbor with a great view of the harbor. You are serenaded 24 hours a day by the sea lions two blocks below you, they are quite loud.
The charming, older house has been carefully updated and is wonderful. 5 bedrooms on 3 levels; an amazing dining area with colorful high ceiling, round table and wonderful view of the harbor makes for a warm and inviting atmosphere.

It was clean but no definite primary bedroom with bath. Bedroom downstairs (good view) had a Jack and Jill bathroom, shared bathroom with other bedroom.

Beautiful house, beautiful view, plenty of room for 10, good amenities, and a convenient location to walk down to the historic bayfront (though a steep walk, so maybe not for everyone). Only suggestion might be to provide a couple spare blankets. We'd definitely stay here again!

I loved that there was a gorgeous view. There are two andirondeck chairs sitting at the top of the bluff. When I got closer I realized that they were rotted, with tons of lichen growing on them. The arm pieces are resting on the seat. Why not have usable chairs there? Same with the deck chairs. Put plastic chairs out that don't have broken arms. The windows with screens are painted shut but there are screens at the bottom of the 2nd linen closet upstairs. We didn't discover that and had to get a breeze by leaving our windows open and dealing with insects and spiders. Also finally found a fan in the bottom desk drawer on the last day. There is a lovely kitchen that is great to cook in, and a nice dining room with a beautiful view. There are no labels anywhere and 1/2 the drawers are empty, so it can be challenging to find and put things away. This is a great house, and with a little consideration is could be an amazing place to stay.
Manager response:
Pamela, thank you for sharing your feedback and for bringing some items to our attention that may need some TLC. We're always trying to improve our homes and services and rely on guest experiences to help us know how to best do that. We hope to host you again.

Very nice home. We had a girl friends getaway and the home was perfect!!! Within walking or driving distance of the beach and other amenities.

View, location, comfortable beds, seclusion (privacy), nice up and downstairs bathrooms.

We really enjoyed this house. It has a great lay-out. The bedrooms seem very private. Lots of space, and great views. Great for a group of 4+ couples (one of the bedrooms has a double bed, which would be very cozy for a couple).

Wonderful home, nothing but good things.

The home is located at the end of a tucked away street which surprised us, but the drive leading up the home is spooky and beautiful. The home itself is delightful. Lots of space for family. Three levels which was great.

The absolute best thing was the view. We can see the Newport bridge from the living room and back deck. It’s a 1-2 minute drive down to the port with all of its main attractions.

Shower pressure is amazing! Especially heat downstairs bathroom. The tub is huge! The beds are comfortable. It is clean and they gave us plenty of trash bags, towels, and anything else we needed. Definitely recommend this home and will return.

Nice home. Decor is a little odd and there is no coffee pot. But it’s a good place for large family gatherings. We enjoyed it and would definitely come back!
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, Bryce. We sincerely apologize for the Coffee pot. It was located in a cupboard. We would have been happy to assist with any questions or concerns if we had been notified during your time with us. Our local team strives to provide every one of our guests with the best vacation possible. We hope for the opportunity to host you again soon.

Nice place to spend a few days over looking the bay.
