The house was just what we were looking for our first blended family vacation. Two items to address: there was not enough silverware and place settings for everyone. If the house sleeps 8, there should be place settings for 8. I get not everyone cooks on vacation but it should be considered. Secondly the should be clear that it's only 5 gigs to share for a week and if you get there after another family was there you are SOL. We did have a broken showerhead upon arrival, but as soon as I called someone was there in 30 minutes to replace it. Overall I was happy and would stay again.

It was our first time in a cabin. It was nice and quiet. We expected it to be a little cleaner. Found facial hair shavings all over lower bathroom sink, food on floor in master bedroom and something red spilled in fridge. Cigarette butts all over outside by the deck. People renting a place should clean up after themselves so that others can enjoy when they arrive. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay and would most likely stay here again.
Manager response:

The house was terrific after we found it. We arrived after dark and the roads up to the house are very narrow and many turns. Have a good car with good traction tires as a must. Good thing the ground was dry as wet would have made it very difficult. This house is perfect especially with children. Very private and the game room is separate from house so you don't have loud kids you can hear. The bedroom downstairs is set up perfect for kids as well but is not part of house you have to go outside and down a set of stairs to enter. The Game room keys are behind main door of house, had to call to find that out. Fantastic home.

This is the 2nd time that we have rented this cabin. It has all of the things that we want and need. Highly recommended!

The climb up to the house is steep and should have more signs to inform you which way to go. The house has really great potential, its large and has a game room that we did enjoy. However, the dishes were dirty, the game room floor looked like it has never been mopped, the bathroom downstairs was filthy: spit/toothpaste on the mirror and faucet and shower was not cleaned, and the downstairs beds were not made, as the cleaner was still there when we arrived around 4:20ish and was saying that the last people were not supposed to be down there. The hot tub never got to a warm temperature so we were not able to enjoy it..which was a bummer. Also, not the property's fault very little cell connectivity and the do not want you to stream any media services like Netflix or Hulu, but they do have satellite cable, which was nice to have.
Manager response:
Thank you for your feedback, Robin. We apologize if the cleanliness of the home left something to be desired, and we will follow-up with our housekeeping team to see that future cleans are completed to our standards. We hope to host you again soon.

The property was quiet and peaceful. Also minutes from downtown Cherokee shops and casino. There where six adults in our group and there was plenty of room, although two of the four bedrooms are downstairs and outside of the main house. I would recommend a truck or suv as the driveway is unpaved and steep. As long as you don't mind the drive way this is a great spot stay on a Cherokee vacation.
