We had a busy week with friends (and their pup) at this house—a party of 6 adults, 1 teen, and 2 kids under 6. The home was well stocked with basics, extra pillows, cooking items, etc. There was more than enough room for everyone to have some space to themselves. The hot tub was fantastic of course! The best feature of the home is its perfect location directly across from the Village market—an easy walk for everyone.

We had only a few minor issues that should be easy to remedy.
1. The house is marked with #7…not the actual address. Our guests ended up at the neighboring property but we spotted them out the window before they got too far down the driveway.
2. The master bath’s jetted tub is awkwardly placed behind the stall shower, with the drain at the far end. I burned the heck out of my legs wading in the tub to pull the drain plug after the teen made their bath too hot. I couldn’t reach the plug from outside the tub. The tub is also hard to get out of because of the sloped back and its location by the shower.
3. The master shower surround leaks on two sides—put a towel down or risk a slip.
4. Instructions for the remote & sound bar would have helped a lot. We did finally get a strong enough wifi signal for Netflix though!
5. The dryer drum is extremely loud. We shut it off immediately and opted to use the laundromat just to be safe.
6. Shower heads are all a bit worn but they work!
7. Upstairs window shades wouldn’t raise up—this might be operator error because we couldn’t figure out how to get them back up again.

Most are minor maintenance issues. We had no major issues all week and had a fantastic time. The home was a great HQ for our week of adventures and concerts, and we absolutely recommend it for big families or mixed small groups. It was also very pet-friendly, with some extra items on hand for our friend’s pup. Overall a great experience for everyone!

We loved all the spacious rooms and TVs in all of them. The pool table and hot tub were great. Only thing that was challenging was splitting the upstairs bathroom among 3 rooms. Other than that, it was perfect and had everything we needed!

This house was everything we were looking for. Everything mentioned about the house was spot on and then some. The little ones enjoyed the downstairs rooms while the adults enjoyed games on the main level when we not enjoying the hot tub. The easy walk to the main village was a plus as well as bikes available to enjoy. Our family looks forward to stay here again on our next visit to Sun River. Many thanks to the Ochsner family.

The amenities were great, the location in Sun River just right, the home clean and just the right size for our group of 14. The combination made for a very memorable holiday.

It’s a large home with plenty of room. Several gathering places. Lots of bikes. The kitchen has just about anything you need. Short walk to the village/grocery store.

This place was better than we anticipated. We ended up bringing 5 adults, 4 kids, and 4 dogs (all smaller dogs).

Living Areas: All of the living areas had very comfortable seats. Most areas had a large TV with cable and/or a device to play blu-ray/dvds. Two very large areas to lounge around in. One on the main floor, one in the basement. There was a pool table downstairs along with another large TV

Kitchen/Dining Room: Short of a stand up mixer, the kitchen had all that we needed. Plates, utensils, storage containers, foil, sandwich bags, bakeware, cookware, large pantry. Literally most things you would find in your own kitchen was there. There was a large dining room table that could seat 10-12 people, and a small breakfast nook and countertop on the opposite side of the kitchen.

Rooms: each room had a TV, the master had it's own bath. because of the downstairs den with 4 bunk beds and a full size bed, we ended up having a vacant room upstairs.

Other: parking enough for 4 cars (may be a squeeze if you have larger trucks). The garage was equipped with a Siemens electric car charger. They had about 8 bicycles to use (both adults and kids sizes) along with enough helmets to go around. The hot tub was a nice touch, The outdoor grill had a line directly to the houses gas (so no need for propane tanks). It came with 12 passes for the SHARC and Boat Launch. We were also a quick 3-5 minute walk to the main shopping/village area. you can see it from the kitchen and get to the tunnel/underpass in a matter of minutes.

overall, i wish i had booked 2-3 more days just lounge around in that house.

This house has everything you need and more. The hot tube was great and is tucked into a nice, quiet nook. We also enjoyed the bike selection and great trail system that Sunriver offers. Great home and thank you Vacasa for making sure everything was very clean!

We rented this home for or family’ spring break stay for one reason - location. My wife doesn’t ski and I didn’t want her stranded anywhere while the rest of the family was skiing. She was grateful that she could walk across the street to the village for groceries or a coffee.

That was the only thing good about this home. While it doesn’t show it in the pictures, this home is pretty old and dated. It is probably one of the oldest homes in Sunriver (which makes sense, given the location). It appears to have been “updated,” but that probably occurred more than 20 years ago. It has an extremely awkward floor plan with tons of wasted space. I have rented homes in Sunriver about 10-12 times, and with one exception, it was the worst. Now don’t get me wrong, it was clean, the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and gadgets, and (again) the location was great.

- the bunk room (which sleeps 6) is in the basement, but there is no bathroom down there. There is a small 3/4 bath on the main floor near the garage. It has the tiniest shower possible - my kids speculated it was a converted broom closet.

- Overall, the home has very few windows and those that are there are partially obscured by heavy curtains. Between that, and the walls painted a fairly dark color, it was a pretty dreary place.

- The place was pretty banged up, with a piece of drywall on the stairs kicked in, lots of dings on the walls and baseboards, and a number of window blinds broken.

Candidly, I would not stay in this house again. The negatives outweighed by positives by a large margin.
Manager response:
Hi, Christopher! Thank you for letting us know about your visit. The homeowner is in the process of getting new blinds installed, and the hole in the wall will be addressed right away. We hope to see you again!

Overall a very functional home. Bunk room worked great for the 5 kids and we still had four rooms for adults. Shy on total bathrooms as one of the 3 is en-suite in the master - good for that resident but not as convenient for the rest. Front porch and especially the garage door and walls were really beat up. Lots of rotting wood. Outside shingles worn. Bathroom in master has tons of water stains and mold.

Family room was very functional -
Enough couch for 8-9 people and room to eat at the big table. Hot tub worked great (except when Kids didn’t realize how to adjust temp and put it down to 88 - could use some instructions in the house about the hot tub buttons). Stove door is nearly broken - very hard to open and shut. But tons of cooking utensils and pans and plates, etc.

Close as you can get to the main shopping and two restaurants and just 4 mins to the Lodge. Marcello’s was our fav - ate there twice.

28 mins to Mt Bachelor. Loved that mountain and spent most of our time there.
Manager response:
We appreciate you taking the time to review us, Jeff. We will get the porch and garage walls painted when there is a large enough opening. Housekeeping is addressing the mold in the master bath, and an appliance repairman has been scheduled to fix the stove hinges. Thank you!

Was very nice. Needed a little more deep cleaning and upstairs toilet seat top was broken but others than that very nice and enjoyed. Thank you
Manager response:

We have implemented a Premium Clean program so we can continue to strive to provide our guests with fulfilling experiences; We apologize for any missteps, as it is never our intention to disappoint. We hope to have the opportunity to better impress you in the future.
Lisa S. Dec 2020
It was nice and had all kinds of cooking pots and pans and other things but it was not as clean as I thought it should be especially since we couldn't check in before 4pm cobwebs in stairs as well as in master bathroom as well as dust. Felt cheated because we paid $1500 and basically only had one day after late check in and early check out and some of the pots and pans were dirty
Manager response:
Hi Lisa, thank you for staying with us! We are pleased to hear you enjoyed the home. We're so very sorry for the disappointing experience during your visit. We have followed up with our housekeeping team and maintenance to ensure future cleans will be completed to our high standards. We hope to have the opportunity to host you in the future, for a much more enjoyable stay!

Lots of space in this home. We were 5 adults, 8 kids and a little baby and had plenty of room.
Kitchen had pretty much all we needed and the gas grill was very nice to have. We enjoyed everything!
Tami T. Aug 2020
This home is very large with very spacious bedrooms. Location is great. Quite neighborhood and directly across from the marketplace . House does need updating . We enjoyed our 6 day visit .
Leslie C. Aug 2020
The home was super comfortable and had everything we needed! We had 12 people and the only thing we needed was extra toilet paper! :) Clean home, a/c worked great and the hot tub was clean and ready to use! All of the bikes were in great condition as well. We will definitely be staying in this home again.
Eric H. Jun 2020
We enjoyed a good time in this house. Well-equipped for kids - jogger stroller, pack-n-play, ergo carrier, toys, books, movies. Kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, utensils, Keurig. Plenty of bicycles. One downside is its location - if you’re looking for a quiet place this might not be the best option, as it is very close to the Village/Circle 1 and you can hear/see a lot of traffic and activity outside. But some might like being that close to shopping etc. a very short walk to the grocery store.
jennifer L. Jun 2020
Location was amazing. Right across the street from the main store. The house was well stocked! Bikes for everyone, strollers, bike helmets. No issues getting in /out on arrival/ departure. House was clean on arrival. Beds were clean and comfortable. The house is a little old and needs some updating, especially the bathrooms. The heating/cooling system could be updated as well. But overall we had a great time and would stay there again
Jill S. Jun 2020
We enjoyed our time at the house in Sunriver. It was the perfect size for our family of 11
Jacob N. Feb 2020
The house that we stayed at was just lovely. It was a great getaway and I really enjoyed myself. Everything was the way it said it would be and was very easy to get in and get out. I would highly recommend this house and will be using Vacasa in the future.
Elizabeth M. Feb 2020
Very well setup for all kids. There was a gate in the home and a high chair. Has all the amenities we needed for our stay with 4 families
Andrew S. Jan 2020
Great location near the village. House had everything you need - well-equipped and stocked kitchen, there was even tea! Definitely dog-friendly, with plenty of dog bowls.
Dana W. Aug 2019
Beautiful house.. Very comfortable. The extra supplies that they give you was wonderful, coffee was Supplied, which was great The only issue was plumbing was backed up in the downstair bathroom but not that big of a deal. Would rent from Vacassa again.
Sherri L. Jul 2019
We loved being right across the street from the village, and having comfortable beds to sleep us all! We also appreciated the well stocked kitchen.
Kenneth R. Jul 2019
This place has plenty of room for 14 and is right across from shops and restaurants. The place is a little dated and the manager asked about things that could be updated since they recently acquired the property. There are plenty of bikes to enjoy. Even though it was across from public spaces, the hot tub and home felt very private. The beds were fairly comfortable and the rooms were nice. Downstairs is a great bunk room and family room with pool table. The Kitchen was fully stocked with more than any rental home I have encountered. I recommend the rental, just go in knowing it is a little dated but still nice.
Heidi H. May 2019
House was in a great area and right across from the village! Home was well equipped with everything you would need bikes, passes to SHARC, kitchen supplies etc! We will be back!
