The house is fantastic, with everything you need to enjoy the week for a group of 8. The views from the hot tub are spectacular. Location near Alta was fantastic. Close enough to hear the boom of the avalanche cannons in the mornings.
A few complaints: The gas fireplaces were not functional. The on premise caretaker who was supposed to help with luggage and shovel the path to the chalet did not do either. We spent hours shoveling the path from the parking to the house. Not fun, especially with the 3 feet of snow we received during the week (which was awesome). Decks were shoveled once by the caretaker. We shoveled the rest of the week. Parking was tight, and not always available given the extra snow in the parking area. Again, we had to shovel our own spaces, which were not always available when we returned.

This house is amazing. The walk in is a little steep, so that may be an issue for some, but the setting is beautiful, and the house itself is wonderful and very spacious for it's small footprint. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a great property if you are looking for a “ski cabin” experience. We had two families of four, and had plenty of room.
Getting in and out isn’t that difficult; the parking area is ~150 feet of ~10% grade, and the provided sleds are sufficient to haul your ski gear, luggage, groceries, etc.
While it’s possible to walk to the Alta ski resort base area (~quarter mile, we did it once
), I would highly recommend using the free Alta ski shuttle. Just call them and they will pick you up pretty quickly and take you (and your gear) to the lifts.
Weather in the canyon is pretty unpredictable and our departure date was quite the experience. I would not recommend anything other than a 4WD during snow season (we rented an Expedition from Enterprise). Getting from the parking area to the main road is a pretty steep grade, and we had to wait ~30 min while several vehicles (UTA busses) got stuck/slid backward.
The property itself is fairly well equipped. Don’t count on every spice being available when you buy groceries (though there must be half-a-dozen containers of Cumin; everyone must be making Chili…).
The upstairs is warm at night so bring something light to sleep in. Downstairs is very cozy with the gigantic fireplace and couches to stretch out. Hot tub is awesome!
Internet access was spotty and we mainly relied on our Cellular devices. We couldn’t figure out the DirecTV either. But we honesty were happy to be unplugged and on vacation.
Overall a great stay. Thanks to Bodhi for taking care of us when we needed things.

All in all the property was good the upper floors creak a lot so don’t sleep down stairs great view of the creek. Was very comfortable parking was on a steep gravel slope so need to walk a little ways for flat ground. Parking The care taker moved his jeep so one car could park below with only 5 steps. The kitchen was full stocked internet was fast and had Dish so didn’t miss Hockey play offs All in all was nice place disappointing it was not next to the Venue o well.

We enjoyed our stay. Great place, clean, fully furnished with anything you need. Bodie is wonderful. Glad he was always near to answer our questions and help with eating suggestions. Bodie we appreciate your being around. You made our trip perfect. Appreciate your help with our luggage that arrive before we did and will ship after we leave. Meant the world to us for your help on this. We would recommend anyone to stay here. We are from North Carolina with 5 people. Christmas and New Years 2020/2021. 😊

Views are spectacular from the deck and bedroom. The star gazing is phenomenal with no light pollution in the area! We enjoyed ample space to really spread out and enjoy this winter haven. Favorite part was the jacuzzi with perfect sunrise and sunset views with the mountains. Owner was very helpful and responsive with anything we needed :) Surprisingly close to Salt Lake City (only 25 minutes drive), but feels very secluded private. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

What a fun hideaway for a winter weekend with friends. The house was comfortable and clean. Amazing location. I’m not sure the description quite does justice to winter access to the house. We’re an active group of adults (who live and ski in the west) so it wasn’t an issue, but when it snows getting in and out of the house will require some leg work (the cabin has a sled so you can haul your gear up and down). Parking is also a little complicated. We worked it out, but the small lot is shared with all the houses tucked in off E. Peruvian Acre Rd and it is extremely tight. I wouldn’t recommend having more than 1 vehicle in the winter. The caretaker lives downstairs, which was fine with us (he was also very responsive to needs) but is good to know for future guests who might desire more privacy. All in all, it’s a very cool place and retains much of that old Alta character we know and love.

The house was great. Would’ve been nice if the path the house was kept clear of snow though.

Our accommodations were for 10 people. We had all the comforts of home, plus Alta scenic views. It was easy to find. Our contact person was available for all our questions. He answered all our questions and concerns immediately. We recommend this Chalet highly and hope to return in the Spring.

This was a great little cabin in the woods. Plenty of room for people to have some space to themselves but also some great areas for everyone to gather. It's off the beaten path enough to feel secluded but also have some restaurants and activities within a few minutes. Definitely recommend staying here!

Location, style, furnishing, comfort, plenty of room to spread out. Just perfect for our romantic getaway!

Beautiful cabin by a creek!
Gorgeous master bedroom with view
Close to hiking and skiing
Helpful house helper downstairs
Small “Downsides” (for us): lighting in living room wasn’t very bright at night
Construction happening when we arrived (but they stopped at request).
Cabin in photos seems very secluded but is right next to a ski resort (which may be great for some people!)
Overall amazing and totally want to stay again!!
We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay! Thank you for your feedback on the lighting in the living room. We are following up with our local staff to see if we can add some an additional lamps to make it a bit brighter in the space.

My family and I had a great time staying at the Creekside Chalet. It was a clean place with comfortable amenities in an absolutely breathtaking setting. The caretaker was also super helpful and available whenever we needed something. We would go back in a heartbeat!
