The cabin was absolutely beautiful. The communication hasn’t been the greatest with Vacasa. I messaged 2 times and have yet to receive a response. The porches were not clean at all. Several cigarette butts as well as trash and 2 beer cans. The tvs in the master bedroom and upstairs bedroom were not operational as both tvs said they had no signal. I tried to troubleshoot the connections and swapped out the xfinity boxes but still didn’t have any luck. The fireplaces were beautiful however they did not generate any heat. The cabin was very clean otherwise. The location was perfect. Only 4 forks in the kitchen which was a bit cumbersome when feeding 6 people. I was extremely saddened to see all the trash thrown over the balcony below. I would definitely rent again but hopefully wish the communication would have been better with Vacasa.

The cabin was amazing. Views were awesome. My only issue was VACASA. I had originally booked the cabin for two days. When I got my conformation it was only for one day. VACASA staff was extremely unhelpful. I will never book through VACASA again.

This mountain cabin had great mountain views, especially from the second balcony HOT TUB! The tub was excellent, lots of space, well appointed with all amenities. The cabin is halfway up the mountain but secluded from neighbors for privacy.

It was the easiest in and out cabin we have ever stayed in. Very nice cabin. Good view, great sleeping bed. Great location. The only draw back is the kitchen. Very small. Very few silverware. No counter top for prep. If you want small appliances this kitchen is for you. I cook, so it was very tiny. Other than that, great stay.

Our trip to the Smokey Mountains was highlighted by our stay at this home! The views were incredible and the home was perfect! We’ve enjoyed our stay in Star Crest Resort: Always and Forever - amazing view of the mountain and clean room! It’s close to very close to the quaint town of Old Mill and about 5 minutes drive to Dollywood. Only giving four Stars because you can always make improvements. Can’t wait to go back!

Loved the cabin, didn't love not having power and no heat! Of course there was nothing vacasa could do even though we called and asked for help. Will not be booking a cabin in the winter again unless it has gas logs! Having two electric fireplaces did not help without power!

We loved everything about this cabin. The only thing we found that we didn’t like was that it got particularly warm upstairs and was cold downstairs. Also the upstairs shower could have been bigger and we couldn’t figure out how to get the downstate shower to work. None of that was a huge deal tho. We loved staying here.

The cabin itself was very nice but upon our arrival at 5:30pm the home had still not been cleaned from the previous guests. Beds unmade, towels on bathtub, trash still in the trash cans etc. I called the Vacasa number and they did send someone out but it was after 7pm when they got there and around 9:30pm before they were finished cleaning.

We lived this cabin. It was spacious, clean and private even though it was in a curve. I wasn’t a fan of the hot tub on the second floor but understand that’s the balcony with the best view. Our dishwasher was out of order and we had no “heads up” on that prior to arriving so I had to wash dishes. Not the end of the world but would have been nice as a heads up. The hot tub needed repairs and the bromine is strong so we were not able to use it like planned. Overall I would come back to this spot over and over. We drove around to look at neighboring cabins and this one seemed to be the most private. The maintenance guy was super friendly and the entire process was easy.

Cute place to stay for a quick getaway. Furniture and decor is dated, but the cabin was really clean. Wish we could have enjoyed the hot tub more than 4 minutes, but the bromine smell was very suffocating and unbearable that a shower was needed immediately afterward. (email prior to trip forewarned us). The view was beautiful off in the far distance when the sun shined, but the weather was gloomy/rainy during our stay & sadly the last day the power went out, but luckily it came back in late that night. We could have used candles or flashlights in the cabin for this reason especially after being told this is a common occurrence (maybe forewarn in an email to future visitors to bring those items in case of blackout/power outage). Wish there was more than one dish towel, but luckily I brought a few from home. Overall the cabin was cute mostly bc of the kitchen and upstairs area, we enjoyed playing pool for entertainment.

Really enjoyed this cabin. We rent a cabin in this smokies a couple of times per year and this was a last minute reservation. Everything worked great and the place was well appointed. We had a self caused problem with the hot tub breaker. Even though we should have known how to easily fix it, the owners sent a maintenance man immediately to take care of us.

We’ve stayed at a few cabins in the area and this one is by far, the best one! Great location and view. Perfect place for two. The fireplaces, hot tub, pool table and hockey table make for zero reasons to leave. We will definitely rent this cabin again.

The main floor bathroom needs the light socket closest to the shower looked at. With the light bulb fully inserted, it flickers. The ac unit downstairs may need to be looked at or replaced for a larger unit as it struggles to keep up. Also, I'd suggest labeling the lights as it was difficult to determine that some light switches were for fans and some were for lighting. Also, I would post a description of how to turn on the shower in the bathroom. It took a while to figure out. Also, the cleaning crew needs to look at things better. The coffee machine was full of grounds from previous tenants.

We loved this cabin! Very clean!! Everything worked great and hot tub was ready upon arrival. Perfect for a couple's getaway or a honeymoon. Nearest neighbor is about 50 yards away but woods are so thick you will not hear or see them. Hot tub was wonderful and perfectly placed to enjoy the view of the mountains. The fireplace is not real (gives the appearance of a real fireplace), but we loved the aesthetic of having the fireplace on, it was an added value to the property. Only negative thing I could say would be the pillows on the bed were not great so bring your own maybe but the bed was wonderful and extremely comfortable! Would 10/10 stay here again.

We loved everything about this cabin. We stayed here for our honeymoon just me and my husband. there are 2 beds so there is definitely room for just 2 people. The hot tub and jacuzzi were very nice. We also love the air hockey and pool table. It is secluded away from other cabins for more privacy which we liked. The morning view is very beautiful. We had no complaints.

My Fiancé and I loved everything about this cabin. We stayed in the Always and Forever cabin. Only thing that could be changed was the cable hookup in the loft bedroom and the surround sound...but we're not operable. Other than that, PERFECT!! 💖

The location of this cabin was great, less than 10 minutes from pigeon forge and 20 minutes from Gatlinburg. It has a great view and was perfect for our family of four. Their were a few minor maintenance issues, but overall a great place to stay.

Great location and cabin layout. However, before you can relax, bring your own cleaning supplies. Beds had not been washed, filthy dishes in the dishwasher, dust on furniture. We cleaned it really well and then it was nice.

This is the third time that my wife and I have stayed at a cabin in the Starr Crest Resort area of Pigeon Forge. The first time was in 2011, and the second time in 2012. In 2013 we moved to east Tennessee, so there wasn't much need to vacation in the Smokies (because we live here), but we thought it would be great to do this once again.

The other two times we stayed at these cabins, we saw the Always and Forever cabin while driving up the mountainside to our cabin rental. We always wanted to stay at Always and Forever, so this was our chance.

First, the good: We love the fact that this cabin has a king size bed on the second floor (loft) of the cabin. We slept there, rather than in the bedroom downstairs, as it was so nice to wake up to the vaulted ceiling and windows all around us. Kudos for the idea of the bedroom upstairs.

Now, the not so good. Too many things were not working properly in this cabin. Most of these cabins have a pool table and air hockey table, and this one was no exception. We found out on day 1 that the air hockey table wasn't working. It wasn't important enough for us to call and complain about, so we didn't say anything. A few days later, I ran the dishwasher for the first time. When it finished, the dishes looked like they hadn't been washed at all, so I ran it a second time, on Heavy load (the dishes weren't soiled much at all, so this was overkill). Again, the dishes were still dirty when the dishwasher finished. That time, I called management. They told me I'd hear back from them within the hour. 25 hours later or so, I called them again. They offered to send someone out, but we really didn't want our vacation interrupted, and we weren't using many dishes anyway, so I told them not to bother, and we'd just leave the dirty dishes in the dishwasher when we checked out.

The first few days that we were at the cabin, the weather was cool, so we didn't need the A/C. However, the last two days we needed the A/C. I turned the A/C on both upstairs and downstairs to 70 degrees. The upstairs cooled quickly. The downstairs never got below 73 degrees. Even when I lowered the A/C to 67 degrees, the upstairs went to 67 right away, but the downstairs never cooled off. The downstairs A/C wasn't working properly. I found out that same day that the right side of the toaster (4 slice toaster) wouldn't go down properly, but the left side worked.

Those were the obvious things that we found that were not properly operational (on top of insignificant things such as missing battery door on television remote control and things of that nature that don't really matter). Over $300 of the amount that we spent on the cabin rental was tagged as cleaning fee / management fee / taxes, and for that kind of money, I would expect that management would be keeping their eye on these large, obvious things.

The bottom line is, this was a disappointment compared to the other times that we've stayed in the same cabin resort. I don't know if it's because it's not 8 years later than the last time we stayed, if it's because of new management, if it's because this cabin just isn't as well kept as others in the same resort, or if it's because of something else entirely, but I can't rate this higher than 3 stars, especially because of what we've come to expect from this cabin resort.

The cabin was very nice but we had no hot water. We called and were told they would have someone come look at it and when no one showed up, we called another number and were told it hadn’t been reported. After the second call, the actual repairman called and was on his way. We really like the Starr crest resort.

Cabin was beautiful and true to pictures listed. As beautiful as the cabin is, it was cheapened by the shower rod and plastic curtain covering the opening at the indoor jacuzzi where a wooden panel is missing. I shared some small details for maintenance with your office that really didn't affect me but might impact owner and other renters. Could use some new pillows. And small packs of coffee. Staying at any hotel, one would have free coffee in the room. It would have been a waste for me to buy my own coffee for just a few days.

I loved the cabin, there was a few things I wasn't expecting like how close you have to park your car to the road, and it is actually much smaller than the pictures make it look like, but the size was fine. The upstairs air wouldn't work but the staff was there immediately and got it going. Most of the remotes batteries was missing but we managed. I did like the area and distance it was from the main street. Like I said there was some little things but it worked out.
