Drive eight miles up the coast and find the hustle and bustle of Pier Park and shop till you drop at the plethora of boutiques. While you are in the area, take the kids to Gulf World or Swampy Jack's Wongo Adventure for a day of amusement. If you want to venture out, you can easily rent paddleboards and paddle along the inlet for an afternoon of serenity on the calm waters. Get your legs moving and hike along the paths of Camp Helen State Park that features an excellent view of Lake Powell.
